This is the shattering conclusion to what I have found to be the best adventure path thus far. I have a thing for pirates (Rum, buggery, and the lash!) but the game itself is beautifully written and a cunningly balanced mix of action and intrigue. Never had this much fun in a campaign before. PCs get their own ship, island, port and a fleet of ships ending in an epic naval battle in the eye of a frakking huge hurricane!? This is going to be good!
A sudden, outside enemy appears that threatens the PCs? I sincerely hope this isnt going to be another dude of an episode 6. I hope these enemies have been worked in throughout the AP and not a sudden surprise.
Nice art but I was hoping for at least one AP that has no evil outsiders but that creature in the art makes me think otherwise.
spoiler:
That's a host devil from Princes of Darkness. I'm with you on this, I don't care for a glut of evil outsiders in the APs. However given that your adversaries in this adventure are soldiers from Cheliax - home of devil worship - it really does fit. Also, I'm guessing that other than this adventure, Skull and Shackles will be light on evil outsiders.

Spoiler:
Reading the Lore and the title I also immediately thought of Cheliax. Or what would be real interesting is if inside the eye is some sort of worldwound type event.
Just a little concerned about the backorder thing, too. Especially when it says, 'Will not ship until all backordered items arrive at our warehouse. ' above the order.
The same thing happened before PaizoCon, so I'm assuming the same issue has cropped up. Sub numbers are higher than previous years at Con time. Between subscribers copies and the copies they need to set aside to bring for sale at the convention (PaizoCon earlier this summer and now GenCon), the warehouse is more or less wiped out at the moment. When it happened last time, the backorder tag went away when the PaizoCon leftovers were brought back to the warehouse. And then, I believe, they subsequently received some more stock as well.
Just a theory, but sine the same thing happened only a month or 2 ago, I think it's a relatively sound one. Either way, subscribers shouldn't have to be worried, I don't think.
Subscribers will get their copies of this, never fear! All available copies have been gobbled up by hungry hungry subscribers, so there might be a slight delay getting it to your FLGS, if you're waiting for it there. Don't worry subscribers, we've got you covered!
