Sorry your other game didn't get off the ground, I was looking forward to it. (Well if you had accepted me of course :) ) I'm sorry about that too, but it's for the best right now. Maybe sometime in the future I'll be able to run a game. Still, you're in this game now, and it should be a lot of fun. We're off to a good start, in my opinion.

Lord Thorin, you can download a zipped PDF of pregen versions of some level 1 characters (including Valeros) by clicking this link. I think that should work for you, pending the DM's approval of course.
Since some players are familiar with the adventure and others maybe not, what I will do is give a quick rundown of the key points that a visitor to Sandpoint may know of. This will be ove on the PBP discussion board under 'AJS ROTRL chat thread'. Once everyone is ready, please post a quick OK on there and we will begin. I can't seem to find the thread. Everyone, as you've likely already surmised by how quiet I've been, I fear I will not be able to proceed as DM of this game at present. Rather than try to bite off more than I can chew (as I suspect happens to so many), I'll just bow out before going any further. That said, hedgeknight is correct. There are some really nice character ideas here. It would be a shame to let it all be for naught, if there is another willing DM to step in. So, hedgeknight, if you would like to step in and take over things, you have my blessing. Thanks for your interest, everyone, and good gaming to you all.

Hi, this sounds like something that would be right up my alley. I've been playing D&D (and many others) since the early 1980's, and I'm just now exploring the rules of Pathfinder for the first time. A relaxed pbp sounds like just the ticket for me to learn the ropes, as it were. Of the various iconics offered, I think I'd really like to try my hand at Harsk, the dwarf ranger. Truthfully, if left to me own devices, I'd very likely create a dwarf anyway, so I may as well take the quick and easy route. What do you say?
Still with us PS? Yes, but some things have come up the last couple of days which look like major drains on my time. I'm second-guessing now whether this is the right time to take on a commitment like running a pbp. Hang in there another day or so, and I'll let you all know for sure one way or the other. Sorry guys. :(

Hey all, There are sure some good ideas percolating forth from your fertile imaginations, here! Nice. It strikes me that I should let you know that this module is pretty much a straight dungeon crawl, however, just so you can make sure you submit a character concept that will be suitable for this type of game. Carry on! I'm eager for more. It would definitely be great to see some more casters submitted, especially divine casters!
Lord Thorin, Spoiler: I really like your concept, but it might be impractical for a couple of reasons...I wanted to give you a heads up. First, the game will be largely a dungeon crawl. This might mean a cavalier is not the best class choice, depending on how much you wanted him to depend on a mount? Second, if you want to go with this concept (and it could work just as well for a paladin or really any other martial character class), I would at least have him start with a basic weapon and armor. The mod pretty much dumps the PCs into the dungeon from the start, without much opportunity to head out and shop. I don't want to metagame too much, but I thought I'd at least give you a head's up. Feel free to make some modifications to your concept, if you'd like.

I've been scouring this board for a few days reading some of the description of the pbp games. I'm new to pathfinder, but an old hand at rpgs. I'd be interested in creating a character for your game if you'd be willing to allow a brand new... Absolutely, you should write up a background and character idea for the game! Everyone has to start somewhere after all. Your inexperience is not a barrier at all, as far as I'm concerned.

You can count with me! But... is this a PFS game? I know that module is sanctioned for Society. No, I wasn't really planning on making this a PFS game, sorry. I hope you'll still consider submitting a character anyway though!

No one knows who carved the cyclopean faces that perch on the cliffs below the city of Kaer Maga, gazing sternly upon the lands of Varisia below. Some say these visages depict the legendary Runelords of Thassilon, while others claim they represent deities far more ancient than the upstart gods of modern Avistan. Their depths are still unplumbed, their mystery still unsolved, for when you venture inside the mouth of a god, who knows what you might find? This is a recruiting call from a new pbp DM for five 1st level PCs to take on the module 'The Godsmouth Heresy.' This won't be a first-come, first-served call out, so please take some time to think over your concepts. I'll leave things open for about three days before I choose my five players. If you're interested, please include a one or two paragraph write-up explaining your character idea. It would be best to include your PC's name, race, class, description, and a brief background (ending with the PC having come to Kaer Maga looking for employment, having heard that the Church of Pharasma is looking to hire adventurers for an important assignment). I really enjoy character interaction, so your willingness to write up a strong concept that tells me something about your character's personality will go a long way. This should be a lot of fun, if you're willing to give a new DM a shot. Some ground rules: Core rules and APG are available for your characters, with the exception of the Summoner class. No playtest material please. If you'd like to use any options from the PF Companion line of supplements, please check with me first. No third party material will be allowed.
