PAX Unplugged committee member here. Paizo had pulled official support for PAX Unplugged a few months back, which was/is understandable, as it wasn’t clear what the CoVID situation would be by December. That meant that we would not have had a dedicated room for PFS/SFS as we had in 2019 (and I think there was in 2018). Committee members reached out to PAX contacts to determine if there would be a space that we could setup in the RPG room, but they didn’t receive a response. That would mean that any games run would have been restricted to being run at open tables in the dealer hall, which has limited hours compared to the rest of the convention. Given the difficulty of trying to organize/coordinate games there and the financial situation of needing to support things ourselves and pay for hotels/parking, the committee decided it would be better to not run games this year rather than provide a potentially bad experience. We are excited to return to PAX Unplugged with better support in 2022.

I was perusing the Gen Con Online schedule for PFS(2ed) Special #3-99: Fate in the Future and I noticed that all the high level tables (5-6 and 7-8) are Sold Out but there are still many open tables of the lower tiers, especially 1-2. Are there any plans to adjust the tables and open up some more high level play?

It is pretty unlikely that will happen, as GMs had to pick their tier over a month ago and sign-ups have already opened/people have paid for tickets to the available tables. There was also an increase in the number higher tier tables this year compared to last year. The special will be offered at other online conventions over the next couple months, so it will be possible to play a high tier then.

It's definitely a very tough fight and there are some hints that the PCs should run away from it. I killed nearly all of the PCs each of the times that I ran it, with a couple of them surviving to run away or be revived by the faerie dragon.

It is a good introduction to the idea that not every fight is winnable, and sometimes running away/surviving is winning, especially since there are no stakes for the players with the game run in campaign mode.

The list of VOs was largely removed from the Paizo website for privacy reasons. You can contact the RVC for the area Dan Simons at pfs.rvc.northeast [at] gmail.com, and he can put you in touch with the NYC VO corps that organize games in the area. It’s likely they are on hiatus currently due to CoVID, but they may be restarting soon and interested in having someone run at a location that you’re thinking of.

I'm not in the United States, I'm in Western Europe, there's like an 8 hour difference (de-synced daylight savings not-withstanding).

I just want to be able to watch the VoDs for the Pathfinder seminars. Do I need a ticket for that?

You only need a ticket to play games.

I think eliminating fame is absolutely the right way to go - though I might suggest, since it maps 1 to 1 with AcP anyway, it might be useful for players and GMs to still track that number anyway so they know how many ACP per character they SHOULD have to make self auditing and figuring out where reporting errors have happened easier

Fame doesn't map 1 to 1 with AcP though, as you get additional AcP for playing at conventions, when you don't get additional Fame.

Anyone know what's going on with the games on Warhorn with no GM listed? I'm not sure if those are not real games, or if information is just waiting to be entered.

As of now, the Warhorn is updated to only games that have a GM, and all of them will run, assuming they have enough players.

Tiiny bypasses the need to figure out which ysoki is real, by letting his magic missiles do it for him. Vecro takes a different approach and skewers all three onto his pike. As the ysoki slumps and the other two disappear, Kadef awakens Murgatroyd with a healing serum.

The moment you finish taking the gear from the vesk and the ysoki, the elevator doors open, and you are free to leave.

You escort the datastick and Director Ebaki back to the Lorespire Complex, without further issue.

Venture-Captain Arvin meets with you and thanks you for your efforts. Shortly after the conversation begins, Celita, the Dataphiles faction leader, enters the office. Arvin says, "Your benefactor has arrived. It was Celita who asked me to assign you this mission."

Celita gives a small smile and says, "I've been working with a hacker named Ceren. A group of Starfinder agents like yourselves was able to recruit her to our ranks about a year ago. She connected me with Director Ebaki, who offered to leak some AbadarCorp information to the public. It seems some AbadarCorp members have been privy to a price-fixing scheme related to medicinal goods. It's an important first step to start a solid case against AbadarCorp and others. Thank you for your bravery in helping obtain this information." With that, she departs.

Bordle is in need of treatment for radiation sickness, which Director Ebaki pays for. AbadarCorp will also pay for Jargur's treatment, though less is needed.

As you depart Arvin's office, you catch the end of a televised interview on one of the Lorespire Complex's monitors. The interview consists of a kasatha in AbadarCorp attire providing an update on the recent events that took place in the Bluerise Tower office. The public relations official thanks the Starfinder Society and each of you specifically by name for helping rescue Director Ebaki. He continues, "AbadarCorp is taking this very seriously, and we will be hiring a new director of Pact Worlds security to insure something like this does not happen again." A new figure takes the stage, a sharply dressed white ysoki, Datch, who waves to the flash of cameras. "There are a lot of messes that I need to clean up. I really hope to make good, long-lasting business relationships and friendships with other organizations along the way."

The map makes sense from the perspective of how an office would be laid out, but it does have a giant waste of cubicle space and then no space for a fight that would benefit a lot from being even 1 more row of squares larger.

I'm new as well, but I don't think that will work if you want each one to act on their own initiative instead of group.

You can click each token individually to add them to initiative. The simplest way to do it is not even using a character sheet, but with the macro "/w gm [[d20+?{Initiative|0}&{tracker}]]". If you click a token then that macro, it will prompt you for the initiative modifier, then whisper you the roll, so you can add initiative for both visible and hidden enemies. The key is to not set the hp on the token to call the character sheet hp, but to input it manually. If you set it based on the character sheet, it will change the hp for all of the tokens assigned to that character.

Second Seekers (Roheas):
Only the longest-lived Starfinders remember the reign of First Seeker Roheas (CG female damaya lashunta mystic) who dedicated much of her tenure to protecting pre-Drift civilizations from exploitation. Though conflicting reports indicate what happened to the First Seeker, a handful of eager Starfinder historians have taken to following in Roheas' footsteps by forming a minor faction dedicated to preserving what she stood for.

Tier 1 - Mobile Translator, Pact Worlds Defender, Rugged Hull, Second Seekers(Roheas) Recruiter
Tier 2 - Living Translator, Untarnished Reputation
Tier 3 - Alien Observer, Exemplar of Roheas, Personalized Hull

Recruiter is 2 Fame and allows you to give another player a copy of the boon (they can't copy it). Exemplar is 8 Fame and allows 2 Starship boons if the scenario has the Starship tag or an extra Ally/Promotional/Social in the Starship slot if the scenario doesn't.

Milord successfully sneaks up to the rune and erases it from existence.
Good use of a hero point.

The trunk sitting below the statue contains several relics, including an iron scepter topped with a sculpture of a talon clutching an orb that continually glows white-hot as if it is still being tempered in a forge and functions as an everburning torch; two leather bladders containing minor elixirs of life; Meleeka's journal; and a set of six scrolls that describe various occult and martial art techniques developed by Meleeka’s ancestors. One-who-waits is quite large, weighing 4 bulk.

Meleeka's journal describes her discovery of the scrolls in the Monastery of Unblinking Flame's archives that described the ancient forbidden martial arts techniques of her ancestors. When she took the scrolls to her master, she was commanded to destroy them and forbidden from using the techniques they described during the Challenge of Sky and Heaven. She instead burned forgeries of the documents and kept the originals for herself. She refrained from using the techniques in the competition, but was easily eliminated. She stole the relics and statue and fled her to teach her students.

The scrolls are sufficient for you to learn the Rain of Embers style, which will be reflected on your chronicle sheet, and available to all of your characters.

It's first to 3 at each task. I can parse what's already been rolled, and ask for more, if needed. For future rolls in this, go ahead and do 3 of the same roll at a time. I'll parse it and apply any modifiers, then post a status.

I'm new to PbD too, but the answers seem to be: provide a link to your character sheet either from the Paizo site or somewhere else to the GM.

Join the server that your game is on and your GM will @ you to the table, so you know where to go. Most of them also have links on the sign-up sheet that you can check for.

PF2 has breathed new life into my store. I’m regularly scheduling 2 tables each of 2 scenarios a month with mostly players I’d never seen before (also 1 who had stopped gaming for over a year). I’m currently trying to figure out how to offer more content (either a Plaguestone run or a quest/repeatable as a 3rd week) without completely shutting out a very diminished 1E player base.

Related, starting this month with 1–09: Star-Crossed Voyages, you'll begin to see reminders throughout each scenario of points where we expect the GMs to have awarded a Hero Point; we do expect the party to have 1 Hero Point apiece by the time the mission briefing ends and they've slotted their boons, and to collectively receive about 1 Hero Point per hour of gameplay as outlined on page 507 of the CRB.

I noticed this in a quick glance through of the scenario, and it's definitely appreciated. I haven't given out any extra Hero Points in my 8 run games so far, though they haven't been needed. A big part of this is the difficulty in figuring out who should get them for what and keeping track of when. Having scenario reminders/suggestions makes it a lot easier.
