In reading the description of this adventure, I may decide to opt for my mechanic rather than my Mystic. I'll see what our final lineup is. I am happy to play the mystic if our skills are covered.

Sorry Brookwillow but I think you'll have to play your Mechanic if the party accept my application.

Character Name: Ménélas

Day Job Roll: Profession Comedian: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

I am leaning toward keeping Brookwillow in as well. He doesn't have a lot of engineering or computer skill, but he has high perception, handy spells, and high mysticism (which you never know if we'll need).
He's also 2nd level, so he can tank a little. Not much, but a little. . . .

![]() |

It does look like we don't have any ranks in Medicine among all six characters, though...

Farol |

:D Yeah, but at least Mystic brings some healing to the party. I think we can live without Medicine (pun intended :D).
But that is my personal opinion if you believe otherwise speak up.
With regards to 2nd lvl and tanking. I think most of us are lvl 2. Only two PC's with lvl 1 are: a soldier and an envoy. So we should not require Mystic to tank ;)

![]() |

We have a Mechandross to tank...though honestly....even combat drones are weaker than PC's in tanking (low AC, low HP, but they at least get DR 1/-). Worst case we use it as a 'tank' and Jagrur sighs and picks up the pieces and makes a new one after the scenario ;-)

![]() |

:D Yeah, but at least Mystic brings some healing to the party. I think we can live without Medicine (pun intended :D).
Medicine is worthless for healing at these low levels - I'm thinking about skill checks.

I don't have that many scenarios under my belt, but I have yet to see one that wasn't plowed through when you have at least two decent damage dealers - I think we have 3 in this group, so combat probably won't be a concern.
Skills though, we might be a little light.

![]() |

Brookwillow is somewhat primitive. His solution to medicinal needs is magic. As he is getting more experienced with his Starfinder Society roles, I may "educate" him and give him a rank or two.
Usually there is an envoy or operative that has a little medicine. Oh well. We'll make due.

I'm ok with this. I just thought it would be good to have two characters with computer/engineering skills.
And hopefully you didn't count me as a fighter. I won't make a lot of damage. But usually pretty ones. I'm an artist after all :)

![]() |

I was just checking, a shield solarian with small arms and an armor solarian with an advanced melee weapon - this is quite the unique bunch.

I like the flow of my armor ;)
With regard to skills, I never tested it the hard way, but usually, scenarios allow for alternative ways of handling problems.
I played around 12 scenarios in SFS and two situations where I encountered Medical rolls you could solve the problem with Athletics check (higher DC).
With regards to Computers/Engineering we have Jagrur, if he fails on certain rolls. We will explore the alternative options ;), you know the good old ways of getting information: intimidation and diplomacy ;) We just need to make sure that we keep someone alive to be able to do that.
I think it can be a fun team to play with.

I'm sorry but I've to withdraw from this game. I prefer to do it now to let someone else to jump in.
Have a nice game.

Hey guys, it is still ok to jump in?
I need to build my Technomancer, but he/she/they will be a level 1, that ok?
We have 5, so it's fine with me.

Nice!

Ooh, didn’t realize it was a kiirinta technomancer. I was thinking about making one of them, but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

![]() |

Yeah I went through my race boons like, right, I need a new character, what races have I got lying around.
Oh Kiirinta...and +Dex/Int, well this fits a Technomancer just right
And then I'm watching all the Marvel movies while having to be at home (after work) and thought Roboticist, Tony Stark, so it became Tiiny Stiirk as the Kiirinta love the "ii" in names!

![]() |

Just a heads up...I have played this (and actually in the process of prepping it for a roll 20 game) before. I am actually going to be using a Glutton for Punishment GM boon box for the replay.
So players, don't assume that Jagrur will be the first to come up with a plan, or even the 2nd...sorry, I don't want to spoil the fun for the rest.

Sometimes I play a mission where my PC seems to be designed for. This is not one of those games. No Sleight of Hands, no called fusion no compartment :(
Vecro nods to the information shared telepathically about the sensors. When asked to give up his weapons he unwillingly does so.
Yeah. It happens sometimes. SOmetimes you totally mismatch the adventure.

Give it time - I barely have any skills as well. And we can grab new weapons from the corpses of our foes.

With the skills my solarian will stay that way ;) It is not better with levels :D And yeah I expect that we will have a possibility to get some weapons.
But I was deciding between two PC's for this mission and my other PC not only has sleight of hands but also even without it he could bring all his weapons inside. And again I don't think it would give us any huge benefits, but I would feel better :D if you know what I mean

Ah yes, thanks for all the boon posting. I meant to mention that, but the daily Roll20 games I've gotten involved in to keep my local region going have left me with a fuller plate than I thought I'd have now.
@Murgatroyd-01 - They are not relevant at this time.
@Vecro - A solarian is never considered unarmed. This is true, but also a slight in joke to Androids & Aliens, which is a good, though often rules/tactics infuriating, podcast of a Dead Suns playthrough.

A solarian is never considered disarmed, unless said solarian is armor type solarian (all the other 3 have 'weapons'....sigh) :-(

:D so true, Either way, I think it is only fair. We all have to get our weapons. Otherwise, as a manager of such building, I would not allow Solarians in ;)

![]() |

As a armor storm soldier, I'm never unarmed, unless I'm unarmored. The axes and grenades are just for emergencies...
