I'd like to try and identify the blobs.
"Alright team, we need to go and rescue Bordle, now, it may seem crazy, but we might have to split the party, unless we bring the Director with us."
"The current room is defensible, and we should use that, but thoughts on going and getting Bordle, I don't believe we have much time, and we can retrace our steps towards the room."
Where do I think I see the blobs?
Vecro
|
"We don't know what is the treat, I would suggest us sticking together. We might find a different way of existing this building as we explore."
Responds Vecro to Tiiny idea Even if reasonable I don't like splitting the party, it either means easier wipe, or that someone will be bored like hell sitting in a room without any action.
"Jagrur let your robot lead the way."
Murgatroyd-01
|
“There is nowhere safer than being surrounded by us. Justice is on our side!” Murgatroyd suggests we don’t split the party, since this scenario so far has been a little bit deadly - and fighting two oozes won’t be a walk in the park.
Maybe the director knows what the blobs are - though he seemed to be ignorant of casual security proceedings, these things probably came out of the secret lab
Jagrur Cragsteam
|
While the director gets into the suit of armor (likely going to take a few minutes) Jagrur will move with 'Dross to the entrance that they all came in to see if there is a way out.
Kadef
|
Kadef helps the director into the thin plate.
As a character, Kadef is the kind of guy who'd be perfectly willing to stay in the security office with Ebaki. And since this is a 'haunted house', we're required by ancient custom to split the party. :-)
Murgatroyd-01
|
Murgatroyd keeps watch by the door, waiting for the blobs to show up. He won't leave without rescuing Bordle, or die trying.
| GMParty |
The blobs have not appeared outside the door to the security room yet, and it is hard to pinpoint exactly where they are from the cameras within the dark cubicles.
Tiiny Stiirk
|
Can I turn on the lights? Or can the Director help me?
Murgatroyd-01
|
And can we confirm the pink barrier can't be disabled from our side of it?
Vecro
|
@GM I decided to aggregate the above questions so that you have one list of things to go through:
- Jagrur and his drone went to check the pink barrier to see if the path that we came in can be used as a way out. We are waiting for you to probably tell us that we can't go through.
- Tiiny asks if we can turn on the lights using a computer.
Vecro feels way better holding his pike, with weapons in his hands he can actually contribute to them getting out of here. It is good to feel like he has control over his fate, at least to some degree.
He looks at the dwarven companion looking at the barrier blocking their way. What took him so long, he is looking at it for a couple of minutes.
Vecro scratches on his face and asks
"Jagrur! I asked can you take the barrier down for us to leave? Or are we looking for another route?"
An idle post
Kadef
|
Kadef inspects the newly armored Ebaki. "Director, you look quite secure now. When we move out, try to keep a few feet behind the others. I will stay with you and watch our backs."
| GMParty |
The pink barrier seems completely impassable.
The computer can't be used to do anything other than view the cameras.
Tiiny Stiirk
|
"Ok, how about this for a plan," Tiiny squeaks, so everyone can hear.
"We rescue Bordle and deal with the blobs, then I saw a door into the Smoker when we walked through the beginning, I think we can enter through there. But we will need to double check our environmental protections if Bordle is right about the gas."
Tiiny looks at the Director, "Director, can you tell us how the Smoker works please?"
| GMParty |
| 2 people marked this as a favorite. |
"I don't know exactly, other than it smokes people so they can't escape. Probably a gas of some kind, but environmental protections would be able to get past a gas..."
Jagrur Cragsteam
|
Jagrur walks up to the forcefield and looks it over and comes back to the security area.
"Unless we have enough explosives to blow a hole into the Master of Stars bulkhead...I think we need to find another way out.....and IF we had that much...I would be amazed we would be allowed on station."
"So....what has the cameras shown us....any more of the abadarmors? What about Bordle? I don't want to leave anybody alive in this death trap."
[ooc]Just moving myself and 'Dross back to the main area.
Murgatroyd-01

“Let’s go, then. Bordle awaits for our rescue!” Murgatroyd moves back into the main office, following the same steps everyone used before.

Vecro
|
Vecro moves after Murgatroyd, he notices the technomancer looking lost so he steps back and puts his hand on his shoulder asking
"Are you all right our tiny friend? If you feel overwhelmed it is normal. But we will get through this." Gives a bit of a pep talk.
Vecro looks at the faces of others and nods with a smile.
"Let us move forwards and rescue Bordle. Let us keep close to Murgratroyd if he hasn't charged at something by now. " Says Kasatha stepping out of the room.
I suggest we use Jagrur's pet as our tank here.
Kadef
|
Kadef seals his armor and then double checks that Ebaki has done the same. The kasatha is last in line when the party leaves. In hand he has his baton, pulsecaster, flashlight, and a frag grenade.
Jagrur Cragsteam
|
Sealing his armor, Jagrur comes stomping up towards the front. "Yeah, 'Dross can go out and at least get this creature's attention...be it an abadarmor or something else Murgratroyd, let 'Dross go first, you can charge behind him...."
| GMParty |
Moved everyone up a bit on your line, to the point where you'll see something.
As you carefully make your way out of the security office, weary that there are blobs moving in the darkness, Murgatroyd spots one of the blobs slowly moving through the cubicles to the north. In the split second it takes him to react, a second blob rounds the corner in front of Dross.

Tiiny identifies the blobs as ferrofluid oozes. He knows that they are resistant to electricity and bludgeoning damage. He also knows that fire damage can suppress its other abilities.
The ooze shifts away from Vecro's attack, while Tiiny's missiles thud into the red ooze. Murgatroyd's first handaxe looks as though it will hit the ooze, but veers off course at the last moment. His second handaxe slices off a small piece of the ooze.
