Pathfinder Second Edition Bestiary Humble Bundle

Thursday, May 20, 2021

Today, we’re launching the Pathfinder Second Edition Bestiary Humble Bundle to support Stop AAPI Hate. The bundle’s tiers include PDFs of the Pathfinder Core Rulebook, Bestiary, Lost Omens World Guide, Lost Omens: Gods & Magic, Gamemastery Guide, all six volumes of the Extinction Curse Adventure Path and, at the highest tier, a physical copy of the Pathfinder Bestiary!

Humble RPG Book Bundle for Pathfinder Second Edition featuring Lost Omens Gods and Magic, the Lost Omens World Guide, Pathfinder Extinction Curse Legacy of the Lost God, and Pathfinder Tales

The $5 tier includes PDFs of the Pathfinder Core Rulebook, three pieces of Pathfinder Tales short fiction, and the first two volumes of the Pathfinder Extinction Curse Adventure Path. For $10, Tier 2 includes the Bestiary and Lost Omens World Guide, four more Pathfinder Tales, the next two volumes of the Pathfinder Extinction Curse Adventure Path, and more. Add the Gamemastery Guide, Lost Omens: Gods & Magic, four more Pathfinder Tales, the final two volumes of the Pathfinder Extinction Curse Adventure Path, and more for a mere $25 in Tier 3.

Finally, Humble Bundle is offering a physical reward tier for a print copy of the Pathfinder Bestiary shipped right to your door! Fulfillment is handled by Paizo, and you’re responsible for shipping fees. We anticipate that domestic shipping will run in the $7–$18* range and that international shipping will be in the $35–$55* range.

Humble Bundles are by far our best values because they are for the best causes. Purchasers can decide how much of their donation goes to each participant in the bundle by scrolling down to the bottom of the Humble Bundle page and clicking the “Choose where your money goes” header to set the sliders to their desired percentages.

Thank you for supporting Paizo and Stop AAPI Hate.

Question on the physical Bestiary: once we redeem the code, Paizo will just automatically generate an order once they start processing fulfillment on that, correct?

Very interesting. It would be MORE interesting if Paizo offered, to those of us who already own some of those PDFs, to replace already purchased titles by equivalent products. That way, I'm pretty sure more people would contribute...

Just a thought.

That would be much more technically challenging and/or place more workload on the CS team if it were only capable of being worked manually. Increased purchases is not the only consideration.

What a great deal!

That would *vastly* complicate the process. As it is, if even some of the bundle is a savings for you, then why worry that much if it's a better deal for someone else or not? Of the stuff that isn't adventures/mats/fictions that I don't have is the GM Screen - but $25 to get the entirety of the Extinction Curse path in PDF is more than worth it for me. If other people get more value from it cause it includes rulebooks or LO books they don't have then hey, more power to them.

Hey all! Since we get quite a few questions about the Humble Bundle process, I've made a FAQ thread in the customer service forums here that addresses questions we've been asked fairly often.

Another great humble bundle! Thanks Paizo!

BTW when you go to purchase this bundle, you can click "choose where your money goes" and allot the funds according to your preference. By default it looks like 40% is going to Humble Bundle and 5% is going to charity.

Feels pretty bad having paid $80 for extinction curse PDFs during the PDF sale only to see them here for $25 along with a ton of other books.

But at least you got to enjoy them that much sooner!

I'd agree if the sale wasn't like 2-3 weeks ago and I didn't already own the books and just wanted an easier time getting it into Foundry down the road.

I guess we both made poor investments with our limited knowledge. I picked up the rest of EC at full price after canceling my subs.

Hrm, that's the first Humble Bundle where I hesitate. We got most of the "core books" last bundle already. I am no fan of Extinction Curse. Tales and PFS are of little interest for me. So the most valuable content is actually... the maps? I would have preferred Bestiary 2 and maybe one of these fancy new one-shot adventures.

Well, the cause is worth some support, so I guess I will go for 20+ €.

Can I choose Bestiary 2 or 3 for the physical book since I already have the first Bestiary?

I doubt it, but you could gift it to a friend if you want to get them into GMing.

For some reason I never bought Gods & Magic (probably just forgot!), and that alone costs $25 as a PDF, so paying $25 for the bundle got me that book and a whole lot of maps, novels, and other materials. A great deal even if I already had many of the items in the bundle.

Sorry, no.

Can I choose not to receive the Bestiary for the highest package, then? My issue is that I use a freight forwarder who will charge me per package by weight. I don't mind donating to a worthy cause but I don't want to pay for something I already have -- unless I can just ask Paizo to give the book to someone else instead...

Not sure how the physical rewards are handled, but the three digital reward tier came as a seperate redemption codes. I assume the physical copy of the Bestiary is another seperate redemption code you could just pass along.

Cool. ok.

Any chance the physical copy is version 1.1?

Picked up the PDFs but wasn't needing another print Bestiary. Good deal for all the other stuff, though.

We have not printed a version that includes errata yet so no.

I've kept track of the Paizo Humble Bundles over the years and contributed to almost every one. I think this one has a good assortment of 2nd Edition material at good value for a good cause.

A few days ago, Humble Bundle's web page changed the way that it displays the bundle. The pictures of the books and maps seem to be larger without having to click on them to enlarge them. That is a plus. However, the information that they are displaying is much less transparent. Their new ‘Bundle Filter’ mechanism (buttons) is less helpful and informative if you are trying to compare the bundles. No longer is there a prominent title above each donation level stating "For $5 you get .... ", then farther down the page "For $15 ...." etc. Now you are shown everything and have to click on a filter button to see which items are included at each level. The filter buttons show the number of items in the bundle but don’t show the cost until you select them. You don’t see any of the lower donation levels unless you use the filter to show fewer items. Worse still, when you click on the [25 Item Bundle] filter for example, every item's individual description that is available in the 25-item bundle will show "Pay at least $15", even the items that are available at the $5 bundle level will show $15. They are not informing you that you can get a particular item at a lower level. Humble Bundle has also removed the total amount raised from the bundle campaign. They are only displaying how much has been raised for the charity.

On a positive note, one thing that hasn’t changed is that you can still adjust your donation portions as you choose. Want to give a little more to Paizo for great products. No problem. More to the charity, in this case Stop AAPI Hate, easily done!

Overall, it appears the Humble Bundle website is less transparent and more difficult to compare bundles. For Paizo’s part, they are providing great products for a fantastic deal.

Just My Thoughts

I've missed it :( just started PFS2e aaah.

Make another one please :D this seems like an awesome bundle.

Paizo's books are so cool too, so well written and illustrated.

Not to mention that the rules are close to perfection, the right evolution from the 3.5 system (and PF1e) which weren't very balanced.

Thanks Paizo for creating the best d20 system to date ! With a rich world, rich classes and a superb community.
