Just to clarify for everyone, all of the streams in the above schedule will be available to watch free of charge/ticket on our Twitch channel at twitch.tv/officialpaizo!

The streams will later be uploaded to our YouTube channel for those who are unable to make the live event, as well! (I don't have an exact ETA on when they'll be uploaded, but they will be Soon™ after PaizoCon)

For those that hate the manual math labor of time zone conversions, our PaizoCon Discord (also free and requires no ticket!) handily has a section for the PaizoCon Online Panels, which includes a channel for each online event wherein the pinned post should display the time it will be available in your time zone (or, more specifically, whatever time zone your device is in).

I absolutely want discussions to continue in the subscription/announcement threads, the only thing we didn't want was order issues posted on the forums! I promise everyone in CS is just as charming and friendly via email as they are on the forums. :P

FWIW, literally, the only tangible change that was made is that we're not addressing customer account/order problems on the forums anymore. The main reason for that, as both Tonya and Logan stated, is because such a vast majority BOTH posted on the forums and emailed us.

The other is the aforementioned privacy concerns. There's always been a number of posts on the forums that had to be addressed via email anyway because it involved personal information.

The subscription threads will continue to be maintained in the Announcements forum, as well as any other customer-service related messaging, as we've done in the past.

The ticketing system we're using is proper ticketing system from our end (they're not just going to an email inbox that we have to sift through) and a submission system from the customer's end is something that can, potentially, be implemented in the future.

THAT SAID, nothing I've said above addresses most of Yoshua's concerns, so please don't think I'm being dismissive of them! They're just out of my scope and ability to do/say anything about. :)

Hopefully that explains things a bit? This was a change that was requested by the CS team in order to streamline our workload, not to suppress discussions, but I understand why that would be the first thought.

Working on getting the auth started right now!

As a note, no luck getting more products in, so the only releases for December are Lost Omens: City of Absalom and Lost Omens: Monsters of Myth. APs, maps, and accessories are still stuck in a cargo container, unfortunately!

As of right now, we'll be moving the rest of the products over to January. Apologies for the inconvenience! We're just as frustrated by this as anyone else!

Hey everyone! Update regarding subscriptions for this month (we'll also get an email together to send out to everyone ASAP, since not everyone reads these threads)! Unfortunately, we have some products still stuck in ports (likely due to a combination of continuing shipping issues, holidays, and COVID), so we're going to be pushing the release date out by a week, and, subsequently, the order generation and fulfillment dates.

Apologies for the delay! We were hoping we'd get the rest of our products this week, but since that doesn't look to be the case, moving it out looks to be the best option.

New dates are currently as follows:

•Authorization (Order Spawning) Date: Friday, December 3rd
•Begin Shipping Estimate: Monday, December 6th
•End Shipping Estimate: Friday, December 17th
•Street Date for Paizo Products: Wednesday, December 22nd

Dates are still a little tentative and might change by a day or two, depending on business needs, but if you have any questions, please let me know!

Honestly, I'm of the opinion that this is a bad faith argument. However, in an effort to prevent further questions of this type, here you go.

People are NOT opinions. I struggle to understand what possible, hypothetical post someone might make about our trans community members that would erroneously get someone suspended (suspended, not banned, you still have your account, purchases, heck, you can even continue to read the forums).

I'm willing to guess that some people may be concerned that we're going to start suspending folks for actual opinions, like if magic or martial classes are best. Don't worry, we're not although sometimes..., but you will get suspended for speaking ill of someone on the basis of, hang on, let me check our community guidelines:

"Posts that contain content that endorses hatred or violence on the basis of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, race, religion, sexuality, or for any other reason are not welcome on paizo.com."

We're very specifically calling out transphobia because it's been a recurring issue and also isn't specifically mentioned in the above. I promise, unless you go out of your way to be transphobic in your posts, you're fine. Enjoy the products, enjoy the games. But our trans community members are as valid as ANYONE else and we're not going to subject them to hate.

As for the posts about trans people and religion, it's less about religion and more about how people use religion. There's an important distinction.

Suspension means that you can no longer post on the forums, but you still have your account, purchases, etc. A ban removes access to everything and you're no longer able to log into your Paizo account.

As Tonya mentioned in a previous post, we DO have other things in the works for the forums, and we've been reading your threads on what you want to see in moderation/community/etc.

We have a lot of people helping us keep an eye on this particular thread in order to keep it a safe and transparent place, but as a caveat: We're going to mess up, we're going to miss things. I don't want our current, "email us if something is terrible" policy to be permanent (we recognize it's unfair to expose you all to it), but in the meantime, THANK YOU.

Posts removed for baiting and transphobia. There is absolutely NOTHING "philosophical" about another human being's existence. Leaving the initial post and my response (and keftiu's and thejeff's as well) so that if anyone else has the same question, they have an answer.

There is no debate to be had about it. Zero tolerance means exactly that, and, yes, that includes bad faith arguments.

For everyone else, Fergurg has been indefinitely suspended from posting. keftiu & thejeff, I removed your responses with the quotes from their now-removed posts, but thank you! <3

Removed a snarky post about pricing. Critiques of both Paizo and potential price changes is absolutely fine, but the post was off-topic and didn't contribute to the subscription thread. So, the biggest problem with this is we absolutely do not have the staff to enforce it. The best option, frankly, is to shoot us an email with all this information (community@paizo.com is probably best), so that it can be passed along to the people who can actually make concrete changes that would allow better moderation.

Please give all your love and support to Heather and Logan; they've done a lot more than I have in regard to forum moderation (it's not my area of expertise, to say the least, and I didn't want to make things worse) and pushing for ways to better the community within our limited (although not as limited as we thought) capacity.

Okay, hopefully final update on dates!

There's a very quick turnaround from order generation to shipping due to Thanksgiving (US), but we'll be sending out an email ASAP to those of you subscribed to the above subscription lines. Please ensure that your default address and payment options are correct before order generation, if possible!

Obviously, we'll do our best to ensure that things are fixed before shipping, but checking the above will cut down on potential problems.

We are doing our best to moderate the forums properly, but we ask for your patience as we are short-staffed. We will continue to try to get these moderated in a timely manner, but things will get missed, or errantly removed, and someone is going to get angry about it, so apologies in advance.

FWIW, we're working on updating our guidelines, amongst other things, but it takes time. And time is rare commodity when you're constantly on fire.

But hey, I'll clear your flags and let you discuss so long as you are 1) respectful of other members of the community; 2) do not start, or engage in, a back and forth bickering (particularly of something that has been discussed at length in other threads); 3) keep it on topic, which in this case, is discussing the UPW. You can always start a new thread for a different topic.
