Liz, at the Paizo booth at Gen Con, I commended you and your team for doing a great job on these boards. You have all done a great job of keeping the peace and trying to foster a more collaborative and collegial gaming community.
Personally, I am sorry to see you go. I wish you the very best in all of your pursuits.

Good luck Liz! I haven't met you anywhere, but I have seen how wonderful you are on the forums. I specifically remember this as an example of how helpful you are.
Much love Liz, you will be missed, hopefully we will see you around as Lilith sometimes.

What will happen to dmtools chat??
Strange Aeons is going on now, so just saying Cthulhu would work. :D

So proud of the mark you've made on Paizo and the fan community. You have been the guiding light for Wayfinder, and, let's be honest here, PaizoCon would not have been a "thing" without your help. You have been, and always will be, my Co-Dictator. Truth be told, you are the better half of that dictatorship....;-)
I look forward to seeing all the cool stuff you do in the future. (which may soon include an art assignment for a certain fanzine)

Roads go ever ever on,
Over rock and under tree,
By caves where never sun has shone,
By streams that never find the sea;
Over snow by winter sown,
And through the merry flowers of June,
Over grass and over stone,
And under mountains in the moon.
Roads go ever ever on,
Under cloud and under star.
Yet feet that wandering have gone
Turn at last to home afar.
Eyes that fire and sword have seen,
And horror in the halls of stone
Look at last on meadows green,
And trees and hills they long have known.
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way,
Where many paths and errands meet.
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with weary feet,
Until it joins some larger way,
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.
The Road goes ever on and on
Out from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone.
Let others follow, if they can!
Let them a journey new begin.
But I at last with weary feet
Will turn towards the lighted inn,
My evening-rest and sleep to meet.
Still 'round the corner there may wait
A new road or secret gate;
And though I oft have passed them by,
A day will come at last when I
Shall take the hidden paths that run
West of the Moon, East of the Sun.
-J.R.R. Tolkien
Peace be the journey.

Liz,
I can't thank you enough for all you the support you have given me as I learned to navigate the industry as a 3pp publisher, stumbled through my first PaizoCon, and even got to play at your table during the Mythic Adventures preview game you ran for us. I can't thank you enough for making me, my husband and our friends feel party of this community.
Thank you for being damned awesome and I wish you good fortune, though I doubt you will need it.

We became friends quite soon after my arrival to these boards back in... was it 2004 or so? And then we were Werecabbages cowriters and I'd talk to you almost every day. And then you got this job at Paizo and worked so hard I barely knew you outside of quick meetings at Gen Con...
So if I'm doing my math right, although leaving Paizo means big changes are coming for you, one of those changes may unfortunately mean you'll see a whole lot more me. I'm so sorry. It likely can't be helped.
I dearly hope to work alongside you again, should our paths lead there. Speaking of which, I understand you're available for freelance art, cartography and layout? Writing too?
And can you do a consult on any Pathfinder Compatibility License-related queries?
And what do I have to do to get some of your incredible homemade cookies? It's been years. You can't just let us mortals sample the Sug'ry Discuses of the Archmagi (now with more retributive strike flavor!) and then cut them off. It's cruel.

All of these things, yes. ^_^

Noooo!
Liz, you had a huge part in making Paizo feel like a home for me, sometimes more of a home than my real home. I also can't thank you enough for Wayfinder; seeing some of my creations in your (and Tim's) effort of love has done wonders for my ephemeral self-confidence. I can only hope you find a new place who appreciates you at least as much as Paizo and all of us do. I wish you the very very best... you certainly deserve it.
Edit: I blame Cosmo for all these invisible onions that some gninja snuck in here.

I told myself years ago that if I were ever to leave Paizo, it would be to work for myself—and I hope I'm as good a boss to me as Cosmo, Jeff Alvarez, and Robot Chris have been. :D

Liz got me my first steady art gig in the industry, something that I'm still doing 5 years later. That paper minis work helped open the door for many other projects. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have as fun and challenging a job as I do as a freelancer.
Thank you Liz, for giving me a chance to do what I love and for making these forums a great place to be.

That's scary... I take hope in believing that it is unlikely they have the mythic tiers in gninja that you do.

This is...hard. When I first came to these boards, I lurked out of shyness and lack of self-confidence. I lurked here for 3 years before I began participating. This place has always made me feel welcome and part of a family. Liz Courts' posts were one of chief things that helped make me feel as if my sense of humour and participation would be welcomed here.
I consider the Paizo boards and many of the people who post here my friends. Part of the mark you left here is that you have helped an old introvert begin to open up more and get involved. Thank you so much for all you have done!
...and once more for the road:
Liz Rocks!

Wow.
Liz I am so incredibly sorry to see you go, but I am ecstatic to see whatever it is you do next! You've been one of the main reasons the Paizo community has been as awesome as it is, and I want to express my extreme gratitude to you for all you've done and been to this website and community.
Thank you.
I know that I would not be who I am here if it were not for you being who you've been here. I cannot thank you enough for the positive weight and impact you've had on this community.
Peace and joy to you.
And, though I've already said it, once again: thank you.
