.....
1. True, that would be odd. For simplicity's sake, PrC will not be used. Considered that some PrC are Golarion tied, it would be odd to exclude some and include others. That also means that no NPCs will be PrC to bite the PCs with unique class abilities.
...
Just a reminder that Prestige Classes (PrC) are a no go, if you have plans on using a PrC.

I've had a character concept that I've wanted to try out for sometime: A young man whose aspirations are to be the premier dungeon designer, so he adventures to learn more about traps, dungeon architecture, and monster husbandry.
I keep assuming he will end up being some kind of Rogue or Bard to fit this concept. I'll run some designs and see where I come out.

When seen she isnt hard ro miss. She has Red Eyes [think albino], Pronounced Canines, and strange ears.
I figured Id give her Black Hair or Brown Hair. She also dresses nice when out and about. Though often with a nose in a book. She does love to read.
Like Courtier Dresses.

Oh good gravy,
I just realised could make Grumbaki's Tiefling Vigilante an OP power house, if they are the stalker type, and take the feat "fiend sight" twice......
They could Hidden Strike on every attack with little effort needed to hide cause they are in the middle of a darkness spell......
Would indeed be really good! I’d miss the full BaB though…

Ah, I was not sure which one you picked.
I currently plan on going full Bard, since we can not take any Prestige Classes.
So I'm working on looking for synergies between classes as I build backstory.
I was thinking Vigilante for a moment, but remembered it's flaws and BBEG methods they could use to break the dual-identity, the needed isolation of the identities, along with some other conditions needed make sure the BBEG can't break it.
And I'm quite sure this adventure won't meet the needed conditions to keep the dual-identity feature secure from some methods.

Aletha is my wip submission, I am debating on using the part Succubus template as its certainly a new thing.
She will starts as a swashbuckler, there are a lot of ways for her to go from that, Oracle, Urban Bloodrager, Fractured Mind Spiritualist/Exciter mix, Skald, Bard.
Yeah, I would of used a template myself, but templates are denied .....
Though reflavouring a tiefling variant as a Succubus version is fine, so I'm doing just that....

Lariel was born from an elven mother and half-orc father who lived near Yonford. Being a woodworker, his father taught Lariel everything about living from the land. But the half-elf boy was not keen on the simple life of his parents. Instead, he frequented Yonford often and befriended some local gnomes. One in particular, a sorcerer named Jubibee made sure to show Lariel everything about having fun. They played pranks and went out drinking a few times.
One day, Lariel brought his friend to his parents' house to introduce his friend. The already aged half-orc thought this was not adequate company for his son, and said that he was not to return to Yonford. Angry, Lariel left the house and strutted towards the woods nearby. Both his father and Jubibee begged for him to return, as a dangerous owlbear named Furus was known to have nested there. As he didn't listen, both half-orc and gnomes went quickly towards him. Lariel will never forget that day, as the owlbear did indeed attack and it was too strong for the three to handle. Before dying, Lariel's father saw how heroic Jubibee was, but couldn't say anything with his last breath.
Lariel never forgave himself, and set out to learn how to defend himself. He is still too shameful to look his mother Carla in the eyes. He knows there is still much to learn, and the best way to do it is to join the Yonford Guild, and make a decent living. He hopes to, someday avenge his father and friend.

Daughter of Raol d'Orgremont from his first wife Luciana d'Armignac. Collette was thoer only child together as Luciana came down with a strange ailment that took her post pregnancy body. Shortly after Raol married Hildegard Nitzsch of Gervaix daughter of Hienrich Nitzsch a similar business man from Grevaix.
Collettes father Raol is a well known business man in Arquette, who used his fathers stipend to build a unique empire. Unlike his Politician Wizard od a Brother Hubert, Raol built a High End Brothel called the Deep Sheets. This brought in coins like no other. From thier Collettes father created a Theatre for various acts both simple to complex . He also created a Dancehall for the many academics and students to come and unwind with food, drinks, live music and dancing. Lastly the Provocateur owns a profitably publishing house infamously known for simple romance and erotica some with erotic art. All of which makes him a decent horde to live off of in Arquette.
Collette was well to do, and though her Step mother was a business marriage, one would assume she had a pretty carefree life. Unfortunately she was struck with a mysterious malady.
This illness caused her to be mostly bed written. At 3 she had an Elven tutor,Ylthserin an ancient elf retired professor who taught her basic math, writing, reading, and language. As this was happening her father flush with coin began to seek methods to cure his beloved daughter.
It took 3 years for him to find Ena the Shaman of the Bat Spirit. Ena outside Yonford told Raol to bring Collette to the shrine, but you must give up somethinf precious to save something precious for it to work. Raol filles with love and despiration offered his beloved his and Luciana's matching rings he wore on a necklace. A personal symbol of his love. Chiro accepted and Raol complied.
Collette at seven years old was trekked down to Yonford and went through a ritual with Ena in the sacred shrine. When she came out she was healthy. Gracious for the miracle performed Raol began that day making annual donations and trips to the shrine aswell as workers to improve the shrine.
Collette though spent most of her post healthy time enjoying playing in the house reading, writing and oddly enough laughing. Her father built a place in the house to house small fruit bats and a shrine to Chiro. Collette spent long hours in there playing with the bats and talking to Chiro.
Also during this time Collette began to have her festures change. First and most striking was her red eyes. These didn't effect her vision negatively, but she did fain temporary moments of being able to see in absolute darkness. Then came the pronounced canine teeth both upper and lower. The last was her ears, they became larger and tapered looking almost bestial. During this time she would get ostracised by everyone but her father and her tutor.
Even though her father didn't ostracized her, Raol didnt see the physical deformaties, instead saw only his daughter and his dead wife. Ylthserin however did not shy away from the fact that she looked differently, but treated her the same. This made Collette appreciate the old elf even more.
Around age 12 things began to change. Collette would begin to shift with her moods. Hands, feet or face would alter with claws or fangs. Strangely these where Batlike. As this became a more frequent occurance Raol and Collette made a trek to the Shrine to ask Ena.
Ena told them that she had a spark of Chiro inside her. To combat this choas the young Collette must study under her to control the beast with in. Through it she would grow in not only self but in Chiros guidance. Raol reluctantly let her stay, and Ylthserin arranged his grandson in Yonfort ,Xylandril continue her studies.
For the next eight years she trained under Ena mastering the Bat within. Under Xylansril she learned to be a scribe ans earned some coin foe hwe impressive skills. All the while she would write letters ro her father, ans submit wonderdul stories to her fathers publisher about the Champion of Chiro rhe Golsen Bat.
At 20 Collette was ready. She left Ena and the Shrine. She visited Arquette and after her father dotted on her. Collette was gifred with some start up capitol. Ecstatic she told her father she was joining rhe wardens. Raol was not happy at first, but realizing it would be the best for her the overprotective father wishes her well. With that the budding warden, author and champion of Chiro began her journey as Collette The Golden Bat!

I added an overview of possible build paths, and can actually go a variety of ways depending on party needs. She is always a reasonable frontliner and great face.
And can basically also be a really good at fighting, a good lore monkey 6th caster, a healer 9 caster or and average lore monkey 6th caster that fight pretty well but not really good.
All of these builds will be able to contribute from level 1 (swashbuckler simply is fairly strong).
Background wise she is an occassional bouncer with aspirations of becoming a proper singer/orator/dancer/scriptwriter, and she may kind of have "Golarion" in her head and tries to write it as a phantasy setting, only to get constantly laughed at on account of the unrealistic politics, nonsensical economics and badly thought out strategies.

Are Fetchlings allowed? They are a type of Planetouched, but also weren’t specifically allowed in the OP. Might play a Fetchling if possible. Otherwise I’m thinking a Sylph unMonk, probably.
The races presented available at the start are the ones the setting is going with. So sorry, but no fetchlings.

One of the builds would be unavailable in this setting, as the spiritualist is an occult class.

Does Collette do anything with her father's businesses like know much about them or talk about them? I see she publishes with them, is it under her name? I think my character would be a bookworm given under the water it is quite hard to have them, and since she came to train she sneaks to read every chance she can

I get why spiritualists are frequently banned (the class is very wonky, often poorly understood, and offers an ethereal scout at very low level, and then the psychic spell list has spells which should not exist like mind block), but there are plenty of other option, falcata swash into oracle would still work great and fill similar roles.
I could pick possessed as a curse for basically the similar flavor in terms of the gm having a plot dump device :).

Throw in the possessed hand feat tree! Rather than having a ghost following you around, you can have a ghost in your hand (which becomes a detachable scout). Similar flavor :)

She works as a scribe, bit has had tales of the Golden Bat get printed. She otherwise worked in Yonford as a scribe.

Blue Lucien |

Ok, here's the stats for Ouachitonian's submission. Lucien is about the most rogue-like Monk you'll ever see, though he can't disarm magical traps, so not quite as good as a real Rogue unless I take a dip some time. I'm still working out the background since I don't know the setting. The closest I can find for what I have in mind of his religion is the Azlanti deity Amaznen, who died when the Starstone fell. The important thing is that he's a deity of knowledge, but one who believes that some things should be kept secret (the Reaper of Reputation aspect of Norgorber might be a better choice, but his other aspects don't really work). I see Lucien as being part of an underground cult that knows things. They aren't the illuminati, because they aren't controlling things. But they're sort of one part spy ring, one part library. If you need information, they probably have it, and if they don't they can get it. For a fee. He's not a cleric, but a dedicated layman. He might spend part of his day working in the stacks, and part of his night tracking the movements of a businessman whose spouse thinks his late night meetings aren't actually business. Or rifling through a nobleman's private files for evidence of a plot that could destabilize the realm. Knowledge is power. Knowledge is the most valuable coin of all. Sure, he also knows how to use his fists, he excelled at the organization's unarmed combat training, but hopefully it won't come to that. I'm thinking the group would be based out of Arquette, and is sort of the underground arm (or possibly a semi-heretical splinter sect) of a respected religion that's popular with scholars, researchers, librarians, etc, puts high value on learning and protecting existing knowledge, that sort of thing. The main-line orthodox priests just don't necessarily believe in stealing documents, spying on people, selling secrets to those willing to pay, etc.

Vasaam Cathan |

@Lucien. How about Magdh? Her domains include Knowledge. And if you take the Fey Obedience feat, and perform the very simple obedience, you get +4 to Int skills, plus the boons if you reach high enough level.

The setting's been updated as questions were asked. I've got a few suggestions, that could get such a character into a respectable organization. Fixers have an important and honest way of making a living.
1.a) In the pantheon earlier posted (search bar might have that post as the only resut), the alternate version of Nethys, god of magic scholars and knowledge, is one of several gods here. A splinter sect in his pursuit of knowledge would make an interesting shady group.
1.b) With suggested they are in Arquette, and your PC being a citizen of Yonford, i'd imagine something must have happened for them to move and turn to the fulltime profession of fixer. Falling out, a job awry that saw innocents killed, mass arrest and escaping as the sole member, a job they absolutely wouldn't do out of principles, crossing the wrong people.
The philosophy of pursuit of knowledge and their skills, used for the benefit of the city instead of for shady goals.
The three main illegal groups active in Yonford have been mentioned, as well.

Here is the underbelly, Blue Lucien
.....
The smugglers, led by a man called Tyler Donough, (a 1/2 orc with only faint orcish features (pass for human)), miraculously manage to ferry a small boat every week between Yonford and Rustwall. Think of strong Rustwall liquor ("Gutburn Brandy"), particular brands of wine, special spices used for local specialties (such as special bakery buns, or dishes at a restaurant). Special fabric excellent for expensive clothes.
What is not available in Yonford, is lucrative for Donough and his associates. They stay no more than two days in Rustwall at a time. A risky enterprise, but profitable. If someone wants something particular quicker than travel to and back from another city, they take requests with an added commission %. Donough is all about profit and opportunity, but he's no cutthroat.
There isn't a thieves guild by its definition, but aside from street thieves, a small number have banded to try and steal from Donough once in a while, and sell the goods themselves. 'If someone can't prevent it from being stolen, it's fair game'. Said by Thea Thornton, their 1/2 elf leader.
She's got less reservations about doing whatever needs doing to get the job done, short of killing. The nastiest of the underbelly, lies with a small group calling themselves "The craftsmen". Highly elusive and secretive, they orchestrate and fabricate situations to blackmail, extort, and destroy, whoever they like. They shy near no methods in their designs. Nobody knows their identities. One time, a council member's good reputation got wrecked, simply for speaking out against them. Off the record, rumor has it a reward is held for those bringing in, or leading to capture of, their members.
Though, I'm also running a character working in said underbelly, the Tiefling Bard (Brazen Deceiver) Nausicaa, though most just call her Leona.

"By horse or coach, it's 3 days from Yonford to either of the other two. Arquette directly to Gervaix would take about 5 days."
and Movement Rules
The rules for movement on horseback indicates 28 miles per day. Wagon indicates 16 miles per day. This gives an approximate distance between Yonford and the other two cities of 48-84 miles, and 80-140 miles between Arquette and Gervaix.

I'm talking coast to coast (N-S), and coast to coast(E-W).
Like is it the size of PEI, or Australia (I believe most live on the southern and or eastern coasts for Australia).
as the distance of travel is not a likely to be a straight, line, heck it could be curving with the coast of the island, or all the major cities are on one side of the Island, kinda like Australia.
