Griphook Ragnok |
Griphook takes the opportunity while the Lurker is grabbed, to send another prop from the stage, this time an old pillow.
Telekinetic Projectile, CA: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 10 + 1 = 30 vs Yellow Lurker
Spell Damage, CA: 2d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (3, 1) + 4 + 1 = 9 bludgeoning damage
He keeps raising his magic shield.

The "pillow" hits quite hard, and takes some of the fight out of it.
That may actually have been a sandbag.

Yeah, 5' is an unrealistic expectation on my part. :) I'm jaded, played soccer in a local rec league for about 24 years, got stuck in goal a lot and could get some air vertically but i'm not a shorter Goblin with a paunch.... although mine has grown some since I stopped playing for some reason! :)
Grog walks up around the fey being.
"You mean person. Go away!"
And tries to thwap it twice.

The lurker manages to twist away from the second swing... but only after the first drew a line across it. It squeals and writhes.
20 hits while Off-Guard.
Uh-oh. While I am hoping to wrap this battle up, I wasn't just throwing it, either. It landed for a reason, but it might not matter now...
Kirana's turn.

GM Super Zero |
Kirana blasts water at the fairy, trying to anticipate how it'll dodge.
It avoids these blasts by not moving at all. Unpredictable!
It laughs mockingly at her, then giggles in Grog's face as it tries to work a spell. The goblin twists its arm and the magical energy fizzles. It looks crestfallen.

Either Swayaah's crit or one of Grog's hit takes care of it.
As the last of the evil fey falls, a stampede of house spirits takes the stage. Most of them get to work cleaning up the mess and repairing the curtain, though a few start giving an acceptance speech.
Pappy also bounds up onto the stage. "Well, a few things there weren't quite to plan, but all the wee 'uns are safe and nobody important got seriously hurt. All's well that ends well, I say. I think playing together like this was an excellent experience for all of our peoples."
You all have one last chance to influence Pappy by making a Diplomacy check to Make an Impression. You do take a -1 circumstance penalty to this check for having a Pappy's Ire point.
Swayaah Maeleranti |
"Hey Pappy. Sorry about the mess here. But Mr. Clangyfeets wanted to leave a bad impression of the First World."

You can, but now you don't need it.
I guess that's an okay use of a Hero Point. Success earns another two Fey Friendship points, for a total of four.
"Ah yes, seems he did. Numblekin, I believe was his name. Our caravan isn't quite like your Society--we travel together, but we don't have a particular goal or mission. Some of them look to me as a leader, but I'm not really a boss per se."
He's delighted by Alice's gestures of friendship. "A lass of few words, 'ey? Well, that just gives me more time to talk! Oh, Master Dacilane! If you intend to make this an annual event, I think our company would be more than happy to join in every year."
J is a little apprehensive. "I may need to create some more formalized, er, guidelines."
"Of course sir, of course!" Pappy wanders away from the Pathfinders. "Let's talk about it and start planning now." He whirls on some sprites who were starting to slink away. "Hey now! Don't let it be said that we don't uphold our end of deals. Participants are 'responsible for cleaning up tomorrow morning.' We agreed to that by entering the contest. Let's get it done now, so there won't be anything to do in the morning. Make that school shine!"
A few groans of protest are quickly replaced by whoops and cheers. It seems the students and fey have rather quickly turned the cleaning into another contest, and within moments they are all sprinting back towards the academy...
Swayaah Maeleranti |
"Huh. A cleaning... contest? Usually it turns into grunt work for those in my old school." She sighs. "I like this way more."
"Did we do that right, Professor? It was... fun to judge this contest."
Grogggg |
"Huh, Grog never see that before. Of course growing up Grog one of few Goblins willing to do any cleaning... At least all bad fea gone. Who up for a tavern visit?"
Swayaah Maeleranti |
"Oh yeah, I'll drink ya under the table, Grog." Swayaah grins. "Don't worry, Fae's really good at leading drunk people to a bed safely." The albino nephilim offers a weak smile.
Griphook Ragnok |
Griphook, relieved that the 'war' is over, serenades the cleaners with his flute, filling the air with a melody of joy and relief. The music hopefully will lighten their spirits, and bring a sense of peace and hope as they go about the task.
