Apologies for my extended absence. I took the liberty of resting yesterday after catching up on work. I am slowly returning to the games here now. Thank you for botting, GM.

Seeing the chaos, the goblin musician screams "Chaosh!" And with successful attempt to talk down the pie generator, Griphook once again tries to appease the same.

"You should not waste those piesh, we musht eat them inshtead." he tells the pie generator which always screams sur-pies. But seeing Swayaah being bombarded much, he moves next to her.

Kirana heals Swayaah as Bangy retreats as well. This flight seems to have thwarted one of the spirits, who gleefully turns towards Griphook instead.

But stops mid-throw, apparently awestruck. He lowers his chocolate confection and stares into the tin, rapt. "You can eat pies?" he whispers in a barely audible voice.

Most of the pie-fighting has stopped, but one little bearded man continues giggling obliviously, refilling a pie tin.

Grog hugs his current pie plate to his chest and grins.
"Hey, worked once! Why not again!"
He makes a lunch and grab for the last plate, hugging it and adding it to his current collection if successful!

"You!"Griphook calls the attention of the little bearded man that is refilling a pie tin. "Pleashe shtop doing that, you are jusht washting thoshe piesh. It ish better to eat them together inshtead." he tries to convince the man to eat the pies because he is somewhat hungry now.

He then raises his magical shield just in case his words fail to convince the man.

Griphook's words don't seem to have any effect this time.

Not that they need to, as Grog has now squashed the final pie.

"Aw no fun!" says one of the little fey spirits. But then he grins, and the group of them cheers.

"Well, that was fun for a bit!" one pipes up, "You're the judges, right? What did you think?"

The house spirits seem pleased with the messy, custard-covered outcome of their prank. But their numbers also seem to be dwindling as a few of them start to vanish to elsewhere.
If they want the flighty fey to stick around long enough to answer some questions, the Pathfinders might need to capture their their attention more thoroughly.

Though for her part, Grenda is paying attention. She quietly offers Bangy a large carving knife she was holding. "It's cold iron. I was threatening 'em with it, but they called my bluff. I'm not much for stabbing, I guess."

One person can attempt a Diplomacy check to Make an Impression, though others may Aid. The knife is a cold iron short sword.

"I think I've had enough Peanut Butter for a while..." Swayaah rubs the cream off her face.

"Are these the fairies we saw?" She turns to Griphook. "Hey, lemme clue you in."

Swayaah uses her Clue In ability to help the speaker (Griphook has the highest Diplo and hasn't acted yet) to give a +1 Circumstance Bonus.

Freerat pockets the knife, pupping out of one only to pup back in fully encumbered!

"Yesh indeed, we are the judges. With our exshpertishe, we are here to observe the fun everyone hash here." Griphook goes forward to represent their group. "I believe Grenda here hash no ill intent to kill feysh with that cold-iron shword, but she jusht meansh well, I believe, that you all behave accordingly." he explains on Grenda's behalf. "Well, I think the prank wash fun, but it ish not fun if anybody ish hurt."

"Anyway," he changes the topic, "where did you all come from, by the way? I shupposhe you are not the shtudentsh of thish shchool?" he asks the fey that have stayed.

While these creatures seem to be fey, they're certainly not the same sprites that were seen hovering over the announcement earlier. They don't have wings, for one thing.

"Pranks don't hurt anybody!" shouts one of the house spirits, to a chorus of agreement.

"Hey lady, you're bleeding," another says, "You shouldn't have pie fights while you're bleeding." Again, a general murmur of assent.

They share that they're with the fey caravan. They heard about the prank war from other fey, and are excited to be a part of it.
It takes a bit of doing to convince them that their pies caused any injury, but they finally take notice of the nail-studded pie tins with looks of shock. They seem uncertain how it could have happened, and suggest vaguely that "Mr. Clangyfeets" might have been involved. This is a nickname for another fey creature they've seen whose name they don't know, based on the loud crashing of his heavy iron boots.

The party earns 1 Fey Friendship point. Anyone who wants to can make Fey Lore or Nature checks to see what they know about fey caravans or to see if they can identify what kind of creature Mr. Clangyfeets might be.

Bangy studies the strange creature - has he seen it before in his travels?

"Don't pie fight while bleeding. Got it..." Swayaah feels her fatigue settle in. "Anyone good with medicine? I can ask, uh, Fae here to help, but maybe one of you know how to do it better."

My hireling has a +6 to Medicine checks. Does anyone have a more reliable method to heal HP outside of combat?

"Fey... one of my exes would be all over this. I'm not much of a nature type."

Keen Recollection (Investigator Class): You can recall pertinent facts on topics that aren't your specialty. Your proficiency bonus to untrained skill checks to Recall Knowledge is equal to your level instead of +0.

"...but one of her stories sounds familiar... Mr. Clangyfeets, eh?"

Swayaah will mark Mr. Clangyfeets as one of her leads.

The Alices confer with each other quietly, then the rag doll says, "I can treat your injuries."

Treat Wounds, Expert. Medicine: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28. Swayaah will heal 4d8 ⇒ (3, 3, 2, 3) = 11 HP.

"I also have a couple of Minor and several Lesser healing potions."

"Let me think about what I know..."

Nature is +9

"Clangyfeets sounds nasty.."

"Thanks Alice. Thanks Alice." Swayaah turns to the duo. "Bruises hurt a bit less."

"Clangyfeet? Sounds metallic." Kirana thinks for a moment.

Nature: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

Griphook has Hymn of Healing for Swayaah, and she gains fast healing 4 for 4 rounds max, for a total of 16 HP. He will then refocus.

Griphook purses his lips with his flute and produces soothing music that heals Swayaah.

"Not shure what you are talking about," Griphook admits.

Grog knows that fey caravans are roving troupes of disparate fey from all corners of the First World that migrate around the Material Plane looking for fun and adventure to suit their whims. They are chaotic and often dangerous, as evil fey are just as welcome in the traveling groups as kindly fey.

In addition to that, Swayaah has heard of one type of fey that is known for wearing iron boots. They are likely referring to a redcap.

Nothing happens to interrupt Alice or Griphook's work. The house spirits set about tidying up the kitchen, although there seem to be fewer of them around. The Pathfinders occasionally hear raised voices from down the hall. Not screaming or anything, just people calling out to each other. There may be another student group working on a prank in the library.

"That feels good. Thanks Griphook." Swayaah feels her nose realign.

"Alright... Mr. Clangyfeets is probably a Red Cap. Not good. Let's check out the library. Hopefully we get fewer pies to the face."

After refocusing, Griphook takes his time to help them clean up the mess. He then follows the others, sneaking to their next destination. He wonders why they are trying not to get noticed, but he follows along anyway to not draw attention to himself.

Sorry, should also have said that Swayaah can learn one thing about redcaps for her successful Recall Knowledge check. Any particular question or category of knowledge you'd like?

Scores of books and the smell of paper fills this inviting library, which is furnished with a round table and chairs and a plush carpet. Rolling stools provide a step up for those too short to reach the top shelves.

A student who seems to be called Duaro (who has a rather unusual appearance and may be a nephilim) is directing a crew of students in hanging a shocking number of one-way mirrors and casting light spells around the library to make a cunningly difficult mirror maze.

They take no notice of the sneaking Pathfinder party.
Duaro seems to already have their vision for the maze meticulously planned--but not all of the younger students they're directing have the skills to execute it, and it's clearly too much for them to finish without help.

Mentors skilled in magic or craftsmanship could be a big help.
Everyone can attempt an Arcana, Crafting, or Occultism check if they'd like to assist.

The map slide was getting a little crowded. The images are all still up, but I've moved them to a dedicated slide lower down.

Swayaah has heard of Redcaps, but do they have any weaknesses? Fey tend to have something nonsensical that makes perfect sense to them.

In the maze or mirrors, Swayaah sees herself in Duaro. Just trying to fit in, not sure of their future, not sure who will pick on their mortal side or divine side today.

But for now, Swayaah will stick to something a bit spooky. Tilt the mirrors in just the right way and you can make a creepy distortion of your reflection.

Her first attempt is a little too creepy, even for her tastes. Fae is scared witless by it, so Swayaah tries something a bit more kid friendly.

Swayaah knows that Redcaps get their name from their habit of dipping their hats in blood. Fey in general are often vulnerable to cold iron--which may be why the malicious fey wear their other signature, iron boots. They're also repulsed when presented with holy symbols.

Bangy, Swayaah, and Alice are able to assist Duaro. They faithfully follow the student artists’ plan; who knows? It may come in handy later in the prank war.

Grog is also present.

The school notices immediately when the caravan in full arrives. Nixies zip through classrooms scattering shredded paper, a satyr troop cavorts down the hallways playing raucous music, and a lone faerie dragon chases a cloud of gleefully screaming sprites along the top of the walls outside. The school is completely consumed in fey mayhem.

J appears in the library and motions for the students to come with him. As J leads the nearby students out of the area, he calls out to the Pathfinders to send anyone else they can find to regroup in the lunchroom.

"That's... a lot of fey." Swayaah is a fan of blunt responses. "We need to look for anyone else here. The caravan may get too carried away with a prank..."

She keeps as quiet as she can.

"Wait, where do we go first?"

"What areas we not looked at yet?"

Freerat pops out of the pocket, doing a dance move!

Bangy smashes his head back into his pocket, plugging his ears.

"Let's go stop that raucous music!" he yells, unsure if anyone can hear him...

With the maze easily managed and the arrival of the caravan, it prompts Griphook to join the music of the satyrs with his flute despite the effort of his ysoki ally on yelling to stop the music.

"Welcome, everyone, welcome!" he tells the newcomers whenever he can stop playing his instrument. "Where did you all come from? Do you invitation to join ush here?" he asks them while calling out students to join J into the lunchroom.

Bangy slaps his head!

Satyrs. Always ready to party, in more ways than one...

She lets them lead while she looks for any kids caught up in the music. Their tunes are catchy, and you tend to forget...

Kirana breathes, channels and tries to centre herself and refocus.

"Well met, small green mortal! Yes, we were told of the invitation!"

The Pathfinder team has explored around the building, but only checked about half of the inside. There are two other classrooms, the bathrooms, the laboratory, and the teachers' lounge and office.

They don't make it too far towards any of those places, though, before they come face-to-face with a ghoulish creature.
It's translucent, a grinning ghost with glowing, flickering red eyes. Those burning eyes pierce all who look at them, leaving them transfixed.

Everyone must make a DC 20 Will save. Birds and other avians take a -2 circumstance penalty On a critical success you're immune for 24 hours, on a success you become Frightened 1, on a failure Frightened 2 and fascinated by the ghostly scarecrow, and on a critical failure Frightened 3 and fascinated. Creatures can't reduce their Frightened condition below 1 while within 40 feet.

But... on closer inspection, while it doesn't necessarily help with the magical fear, the Pathfinders recognize the scarecrow they helped construct. It has clearly been... improved... but it still inanimate.

The person carrying it gives a hearty laugh and leans round. He's a small man, with red hair and beard and wearing a green hat. "Gotcha!" he says cheerfully.

"What the heck is this?" Swayaah turns towards the apparition. "Hey, what's your name buddy?" She swallows her fear and notes to Fae to pull out a journal and start writing.

His heart patters, but our ysoki hero's resolve rises just level with the occasion.

"AHHH!" Griphook screams and hides behind the ysoki. His eyes are fixed in looking at the ghostly scarecrow though. "Don't eat me!"

The Alices are Frightened 2 and fascinated by the ghostly scarecrow.

Kirana is unnerved but is determined not to show it. She smiles.

"Glad y'asked, ma'am!" says the leprechaun with a little bow (only a little bow because he's holding the cumbersome scarecrow), "Pappy Draighean at your service. Let me just say, our caravan was so pleased to learn of this event. So kind of Master Dacilane to invite 'neutral parties' to 'get involved,' we say!"
