Following the villagers’ directions, you travel the Spirit Road toward the east, taking the same path that the Pathfinder caravan traveled. Along the journey, the road branches off several times, typically only for a short distance before rejoining the main road or reaching a dead end. The seemingly endless rows of conifer trees create a serene yet monotonous backdrop.
The path is choked with snowdrifts, making it too narrow for a wagon to traverse easily. The wagon regularly catches on roots or stalls in the snow. Overall, these impediments slow the wagon to a speed of 10 feet. While weather has obscured the trail, you soon see obvious signs that the Pathfinder caravan ran into similar difficulties, such as an abandoned wheel along the side of the path and damaged branches. Occasional flurries of snow fall from trees above as breezes shake their branches. Two incorporeal spirits approach your wagon at different times during your travels, manifesting as transparent humanoid shapes outlined only by the snow, as if the forest itself were clinging to an invisible person. Each spirit looks at you for a moment, then moves slowly toward you in a nonthreatening fashion, hovering just above the ground.

"This spirit needs a host to interact with the living world. It seems that this one in particular wants to possess one of us to share its experience. Well, these types of spirits typically are not strong enough to exert control over their hosts, but may influence our thinking or behavior by superimposing their consciousness." Veiled Lady shares with the group what she knows about the approaching spirit.
"Maybe they can help us find what we are looking for!"

The spirit bows to Ramona before stepping into her!
You also see flashes of the caravan that you are searching for, under siege by creatures native to the forest, a strange eight-pawed cat creature with glowing blue eyes! In the mix, you also see a humanoid fox making harrying strikes at the caravan! You can make a DC 10 Society check to Recall Knowledge on the fox humanoid and a DC 21 Nature or Arcana check for the cat creatures, if you’d like. The memory continues and you see the fox person take advantage of a distraction and snatch a bundle from the caravan, clanging with valuables and what looks like an emerald green scarf that glimmers with a light as if the sunlight were glittering off of it!

A scarf? Why to steal a scarf? Because of the snow?
The alchemist is wondering aloud.
Aeshuura

You do recall Venture Captain Li mention something about delivering an artifact, could it be this scarf?
Horul

The player knows. I only play the character who can't imagine a scarf as a relic. He thought about an amulet a vase or something like that.
Krinolyn ”Veiled Lady” Styncorn
|
"Yes, we must find where the caravan is now." Veiled Lady chimes into the conversation after the leshy kineticist asks about the caravan. She thinks the theft is not the priority for now, maybe after they find the caravan.
Horul
|
Well, in this case, let's continue. We have to catch the caravan now.

You continue on, trying to use Ramona's borrowed memories to find the spot when a second spirit similar to the first approaches... Treat the second the same, or move on in haste?

Nope. The only issue is: Adding a weapon siphon to a weapon throws off its balance, causing the multiple attack penalty with the weapon to be one greater than usual (usually –6 on a second attack and –11 on a third; or –5 and –10 with an agile weapon).
