Sorry for the late signup, hope you don't mind not having to run a pregen :)
I just finished doing Skorp's rebuild to the Enhanced Witchwarper, but his profile page isn't updated yet. I can probably get it done today (I'm on Thailand time for now.)

Finally got around to levelling up and have updated my tagline. Will slot the following boons:
Promotional:
• T-shirt: Once per session, reroll a single d20 and take the higher result, then add +1 for every GM nova.
Personal
• Nufriend Skittermander (C1): Play a skittermander.
Starship
• Skitterfriend (C7): Two different effects: if party numbers fewer than 6, a skittermander temporarily joins the crew during starship combat (see for details of modifiers) or at the start of every combat round the skittermander grants 1 PC a +1 bonus on any one skill check made during the round and, once per adventure, a PC who is being assisted can get dramatic assistance to reroll the skill check but this ends the skittermander’s assistance. (5 checkboxes left)
Ally
• Dream Whispers (C2): Once per adventure, anytime you miss an attack or fail a saving throw, may immediate count your result as being 2 higher. Cannot use if roll was a natural 1.
Faction
• Exo-Guardians Champion: Earns reputation with the Exo-Guardians faction.
Social
• Savior of Vesk-XX (C17): +3 bonus on skill checks when interacting with members of the Veskarium (but if roll a nat 1, auto fail and target’s attitude worsens/they refuse to help). Also represents opposition to the Vault Lord.
Slotless
* Data Scourge Savior: Once per scenario, if you would gain the frightened, panicked, or shaken condition as a result of failing a saving throw, you can reroll that saving throw. You must use the second result.

Sorry. Yesterday got away from me. Should be back in action now.
Officer Swizzers |
No worries!

Oh, yeah. Boon slotting is still a thing in Starfinder :)
Ally Publicist
When slotting this boon, select either Culture, Diplomacy, or Profession. You gain a circumstance bonus to that skill check equal to half your current Acquisitives Reputation Tier (rounding up). If you gain any Infamy while this boon is slotted, you can choose to forgo gaining Reputation at the end of the adventure to avoid gaining any Infamy. If you choose to do this, mark this boon as being permanently expended.
Faction Acquisitives
Promo T-Shirt reroll
Starship Skitterfriend
If the party has fewer than 6 players, you can add a skittermander to the crew. Up to 2 players max may slot this boon. There are 4 different NPCs (the envoy & mechanic are best for starship roles). See the chronicle for skill mods.
Slotless Marked Field Agent
This implant rests underneath the skin of the palm of one hand. The augmentation can be activated or deactivated mentally as a swift action. Activating the implant causes a rendition of the Starfnder Society’s symbol to glow underneath the skin. This augmentation acts as a mark, letting others know you are a member of the Starfnder Society. It also increases the light level within 5 feet by one step while active.
Slotless Starfinder Insignia
Venture-Captain Arvin presented you with a commemorative insignia which appears to be an ordinary medal showing the symbol of the Starfinder Society, this insignia can store as much information as a common tier-1 datapad. Unless told about this secret, a non-Starfinder must succeed at a DC 20 Perception or Sense Motive check to realize it is a storage device.
Slotless Time of Crisis
(Two uses) Cast haste or slow at CL
Slotless Flower of Celebration
1/day, std act, cast dazzling flares DC 15
Slotless Data Scourge Survivor
Once per scenario, if you would gain the frightened, panicked, or shaken condition as a result of failing a saving throw, you can reroll that saving throw. You must use the second result.
Slotless AbadarCorp Endorsement
AbadarCorp owes you a debt, which they fully intend to repay. Whenever this character is affected by a permanent condition that would result in their death or removal from the campaign, check one of the boxes to call on AbadarCorp to pay for the condition’s treatment in full, removing it from your character. Check two boxes to instead request AbadarCorp to instead finance body retrieval and raise dead for your character.

Sorry everyone, yesterday's mess bled into today. I'll be back in action tomorrow.
Officer Swizzers |
I'm going to be away travelling for 72 hours or so. Please bot me as needed. Thanks!
Officer Swizzers |
I'm going to be away until the 27th--please bot me.
Officer Swizzers |
Please bot me for the following week; I hate to disappear during a battle against this sneaky traitor, but I'm off camping until about the 20th. I know my fellow PCs won't let her get away!
Officer Swizzers |
I'm back now--thanks for the botting!

My apologies. My laptop died today. Won't power on. Posting from phone really isn't going to work. Please give me a couple days to see what I can do from the road about this. Please bot me as needed. Sorry.
Officer Swizzers |
Just on the posting issue, I've noticed recently that often after I hit Submit the post doesn't appear, but if I then reload the browser window, the post becomes visible. Not sure if that'll help . . .

Away for 48 hours--please bot as needed.

Thoughts on the team-ups. Mech attacks use BAB and Piloting ranks. Only Deep Blue has any ranks in Piloting and is maxed out at 8 ranks, so he will be the most effective combatant by far. Also some of the skill checks allow adding Insight bonuses, which Deep Blue has plenty of.
The two casters will be the least effective with our lower BAB and no piloting. So one caster to each Mech, and not the two together. Kyra’s +1 Initiative will set the Init for her team, so maybe not her and Deep Blue together so that Deep Blue hopefully doesn’t go last.
It seems to me that unlike starship combat where each crew role is loosely tied to certain classes, this system is much more generic, but principally rewards those with both full BAB and piloting. There’s little to no call for other skills, nor do our ranks, ability mods, or extra bonuses to skills matter.
So maybe Skorp and Deep Blue in one, and Swizzers and Kyra in the other?
Also, Miyu said that a console in a previous room “ might control the bunker’s remote systems.” Is there any way we can make use of that information? Can we ask Miyu to go back there and shut the guardian down or boost our capabilities?
Officer Swizzers |
Away w/out computer—please bot. Thanks!
Game Master S |
Hey everyone, something came up today and I can't get to my system until tomorrow afternoon. Sorry!
Deep Blue With White Highlights |
@Skorpahlich: Statistically, we are only going to get one more round after this, so since we don't have the PP for Hurl, you might as well charge in and swing with the melee weapon.
Deep Blue With White Highlights |
@Kyra: If you took the Aim action, shouldn't you have added +1d4 to the attack roll? I am only nudging, because you have missed by two, so with the +1d4 you have a 75% chance of hitting (since the GM kindly established that its EAC is 26).
Deep Blue With White Highlights |
@Skorpahlich: Or at least, consider it for *next* round, since if we don't kill it then, we probably won't be around any longer (and at that point, taking a full attack from it in melee won't make much of difference - destroyed is still destroyed).
Sorry for the multi-posting; I am just getting a little nervous!
Deep Blue With White Highlights |
My reading was that you couldn't use the same thing twice in one action (so, for example, you could not use Aim twice on the same attack), but you could, in theory, combine multiple different 'PP costs' into one action.
Officer Swizzers |
I'm back--thanks for the botting!
Game Master S |
Sorry, back for now (though I suspect another day this week I'll have to head to work on the family lake house ...where there's no wifi in the winter.)
Deep blue makes many good points. I came to Discussion before Gameplay, so If the Aim bonus isn't added, I'll do it.
Officer Swizzers |
Day Job (Profession: Law Enforcement): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Thanks for running--super fun game!

LINK to chronicles. Not sure why it didn't work, but the box isn't checked. You qualify for the "bringing him to the Starfinder Society to reform his life" box.
I'll leave the thread up for a couple of days. For some reason I didn't get a table of the OutPost special, so I'm likely to find SOMETHING to add to the convention soon!
Officer Swizzers |
Chronicle looks good. Thanks all and GM!

Huzzah! Fair winds and following seas everyone!
