I have multiple character options that I can bring to this game - I'll choose when we get closer to the start date depending on the party composition and what is needed.
Lunar Oracle 9 (does double duty as an Inspire Bard and also has a melee tiger)
Cavalier/paladin 11 (flying mount is a griffon) - very fun but can be difficult to play in tight quarters - will defer to the GM if they think it's better not to bring for this scenario.
Sorcerer 9
Wizard 10
Warpriest 10
Monk 7

It is a bit early but hi everyone. :)
@Abraham - Pick who you like of course but having characters that can fight and cast is a plus. Personally I am a big fan of a +1 (or sidekick) as a good way of high jacking the action economy. :)

My master knows what he is talking about. He makes me do all the work around here. :)

We're now one week away from the start of Gameday. Please add your token, perception and initiative to the slides. You may begin introducing yourselves in the gameplay threads, but nothing from the scenario can be posted until we officially start.

I'm at an in-person convention (Dragoncon) all weekend so I won't have a chance to fill in the slides etc. until Monday.
It looks like we are going high tier. Do we have a sense of any party roles that we are missing?
For melee I can offer my level 10 warpriest or my level 11 paladin cavalier.
For arcane casting I have a level 9 sorcerer or a level 10 wizard.
My level 9 oracle offers divine casting, bardic inspiration, and a melee tiger.
If no one has a preference or if there's no obvious need, I think I'll go with the warpriest just because I haven't played him in a long time and for pbp he's relatively straightforward to manage.

Got my warpriest leveled up and should be ready to go.
Xilt Sphinx

He seems like a fine choice to me. :)

Generally Intimidating is a lot quicker and more direct than negotiating for a better price for a bribe. :)
cmlobue
Yes, but the DC will be higher, because the Caravan boon is more about advertising the caravan than logistics of how to get where you're going.

Sounds like there are 4 options at this stage,
1. Talk to and observe the engineers with a successful Diplomacy check,
2. Observe the flow of traffic and goods with a successful Appraise or Profession (merchant) check
3. Plot out other exits and entrances into the Big Ticker with a successful Knowledge (dungeoneering or geography) check
4. Examine the elevator structures with a successful Craft (carpentry) or Knowledge (engineering) check.
I am not sure if there is anyone that can do the second one so I can go with it (I can also use it for the day job check)
Someone else can talk to the engineers while those with the required knowledge skills deal with those areas.

My character can do the Appraise check but if you want to use your Diplomacy instead go ahead. :)
My character will do 3 and 4 as well if no one else can. I will start off with 3 as it is an easy check for Xilt.
Ideally we will want to spread out the checks assuming some level of competency with the skills provided. :)

My apologies for the posting delay, everyone. Real life got the better of me recently but I'm caught up now and should be back on a normal posting schedule.

Please accept my apologies too. The last couple of weeks have been very difficult. I can barely keep up with the pace and number of games that I can easily cope with in normal quieter times. I will try to get involved in the gameplay normally from tomorrow.

You can communicate magically at any time or place when you have the means. If you are setting up a dead drop, that would need to be outside the city.

Sorry for the posting delay everyone. Was traveling the past several days - thought I would have time for gaming but turned out I didn't. Catching up now.

Gameday officially ends in one week. I don't think we will be finished by then, but I will continue the game until it is over. However, I do need to report something, so I will be submitting with full rewards by the 20th and having TPTB adjust after we see the actual result if necessary.
I also need Xilt to complete the >sign-in sheet<.
You may also each roll an unmodified d20 to see if you win a boon. 1 or 20 gets you one.
Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 3

Boon roll. 1 or 20 for the win!: 1d20 ⇒ 3
@cmlobue - Sign in sheet has been updated. :)

So sorry everyone - I've fallen behind on my games before but never this badly. It's been a perfect storm of real world stuff but still. My sincere apologies. Catching up now.

Once you get into multiple d6s, your weapon damage stays as d6s. Two size increases is four steps on the chart, which is 6d6.

Thanks, that's very helpful!

^Yes this table has been around for a long time. I should have pointed you that way as well but I have been too busy with the holidays to give it any thought. Good job cmlobue. :)
cmlobue
Now would probably be a good time to make sure your information is correct on the >sign-in sheet< and roll your day job if you want it on your chronicle and haven't yet.
Xilt Sphinx

Xilt will just take 10 (28 total) on his Craft-Alchemy for 50 gold. :)

Sign in sheet looks good for me, thx!
cmlobue
Chronicles are >here<. Please check that there are no problems. I will leave the game up a few more days for any final questions or roleplay.
Thank you for playing!

Thank you for running this cmlobue! Now to level Lorian to a 5th level Battle Herald and give him his last rank in Diplomacy (a 41 is time to stop).

Thanks for running, GM! Chronicle looks good. Look forward to seeing y'all in other games.

(GM here) It's never time to stop raising Diplomacy! Sadly, my vigilante would need to multiclass levels 9-11 to get Battle Herald. Has Lorian done 8-04?

He has. Lorian started out as play-test Vigilante but I did not like the change to the Zealot and decided to make him a Diplomancer. The jump to 10 ranks in Diplomacy gains another 7 points from the various feats.

Thanks for running cmlobue!
I really like the graphic of the clockwork dog. It is a shame there is no boon to pick one up as a pet. ;)
