@GM Meleager
Ok, we haven't seen Pai Song since Tuesday (and there has been no activity on Hyato Ken's main account or other aliases), I think it's time for a bot if you please.
Reknar
@Reknar only if you don't mind Mambo blessing you and any targets of your affection.
I am a bit concerned about what blessings may be forthcoming from the Mother of Monsters :D

Welp, so much for that business opportunity...
Ah well, now how do we cheat to help Chisomo? Reknar, I'm sure you can inspire some courage. I don't think I can tie the big man's shoelaces together, especially as I don't think he wearing shoes...
Djir Bentwhisker
Alright, who's going to be Owlbear's challenger here Cnut or Chisomo...
I'd suggest letting Chisomo take it. Cnut, I don't think they'll let you fight in armor if Owlbear isn't, and that puts you at a AC disadvantage (relative to Chisomo). Also, you're fatigued for the next hour after the rum, which reduces your AC, To-Hit and Damage. Finally, if you use claws and teeth to fight, you're doing real damage, not non-lethal, and that might be looked upon poorly ...

What makes you say that? The first part anyways. You could do that, but you would have to be a pretty high Sleight of Hand check to succeed since you'd be in a crowd.
I'll let Chisomo respond before we set up the fight.
And you have nothing to be ashamed about @Cnut. I've handled worse puns from family.
Reknar
Reknar, I'm sure you can inspire some courage.
Of course! Though I have a feeling neither Chisomo nor Cnut will need it ;)

....
The business opportunity was being the Book... Which fitted would have fitted 2 ends, making money and making friends (by providing a service to assorted pirates). I don't want to step on Conchobar's toes by horning in on his racket, especially because he's likely better at it than I am, being a professional gambler...
WRT to tieing shoelaces together, it's pretty impractical; even if I managed the likely ungodly high skill checks (stealth (to be near him without being spotted), sleight of hand (shoelace tying)), he's pretty likely to notice before he gets in the ring, and then will untie them...

Is anyone else having issues posting in Gameplay? I am unable to post in this game only…
It happened to me last Sunday, I ended up posting a perception check in discussion. It went away later that day...
Reknar
Finally managed to post on Gameplay. But needed to add some text, it did not accept only the dice roll for some reason...
Reknar
@DM Meleager: So, regarding my Inspire Courage being detected. I am obviously perfectly ok with it (and I will post accordingly), but was curious about the mechanics behind it. If I understand correctly there is no exact rule for it, and I am actually using my Perform (Oratory) for it. Is a Perception enough to understand I am using a Supernatural Ability?
I ask simply because I have seen magic being used several times in plain sight during the game, and that never (or almost never, I think) ellicited any reaction :/
Also, you asked for a Sleight of Hand or Stealth, but there is really nothing to hide - no material or somatic components, and the verbal is only due to the Performance being Oratory.
Full disclosure, I did think you were asking me to roll Stealth because of the bump against Sandara, and that is why I didn’t ask about it before :D
DM Meleager
I should have stated it earlier, but Plugg didn't want any magic tricks involved during the fight or anything that may give them an advantage. Trying to do something like in a crowded environment would require a DC 20 Stealth or Sleight of Hand check to succeed. The other instances (done by Djir and Mama Mambo) were at less crowded and required lower DCs. That and those two have obscene Stealth checks that allow them to take 10 and succeed automatically.
Anyways, all I could see that the decision is under DM discretion. Luckily it doesn't seem like Chisomo really needs the inspiration to kick ass atm, so we can leave it at that for the time being.
True for the last part and I can say that no one noticed that.

Thanks for letting us do stealthy magic, that's one of the gripes I have with RAW pathfinder.

Hey all I'm going to withdraw from this game. I'm just losing interest in PbP and Pathfinder.
Have fun y'all I have a lot of confidence that Meleager will bring you one helluva game

Hello there friends, apparently I got abducted as well?
Just sorting out some last minute adjustment equipment wise!
Mechanical TLDR:
--Oracle of battle, some healing, some self buffing, some control
--Very high charisma, with an extra +2 to bluff and intimidate
--Lawfull or good people dont like me. Must be the Succubus tatoos, haters! (Abyssal Oracle curse)
--Actually have heavy armor and martial weapon proficiency, lets see when we actually get proper weapons :).
--I can into enlarge person (bonus mystery spell), I think there are 3 ish people who would probably enjoy that myself included? Just mind the increased weight on a ship.
--I roll twice on init, taking the better result
--Can into swimspeed 10 once per day.
Personality:
--Manipulative charismatic b+#*@. The most friendly Shelynite you will ever find yesyes
--Dont worry, I dont steal from party members or do PvP stuff, the GM specifically requested CE so here we go.
Lucille de Avrois
Design specification from the GM where:
--CE
--Good face
--Replaces a cleric
Oh, I am totally not plotting to steal your auspicious tatoo!
Lucille de Avrois
Also, welcome to the wondefull world of female Russian sabaton covers, I for one hope to be entertaining in this aspect.
Reknar
Welcome aboard Lucille!
--Good face
DM Meleager continues not trusting my face skills... If I reach level 2, I shall prove him wrong! :P
Lucille de Avrois
I can assist you musically btw, perform sing 8! background skills actually allow for characters to have skill with no mechanical benefit!
Reknar
Hmmmmm your singing and my oratory - well, that should make for an elevated evening! Depending on the amount of rum involved of course :D
Lucille de Avrois
How Lucille sings:
In Abyssal=Russian, the bunch of commercials are totally in character for her too
Welcome to the wonderful world of female russian sabaton covers
Reknar
I know. Just hoping for a freak tidal wave, rock formation, or a kraken.
A kraken would definitely be nice! :D

Thinking about spell choices:
Currently have: Cure light, Divine Favor, murderous command. Will pick up enlarge person as a bonus spell. Cnut probably will love being extra anti smol, Chisomo may as well.
Ramblins on level 1:
--Burning Disarm. Its not that much damage, but disarming someone can be useful. The secondary use is to blow up gunpowder supplies. Should be occassionally useful in ship to ship combat, although the range is so short I probably need reach metamagic. Very characterful spell for a totally not Shamira worshiperr.
--Face of the devourer is not really on the list, while mechanically useful, Cnut has a bite attack anyway, monks have hard times getting use of them, and making allies uglier does not suit her flavor.
--Obsucring mist
Dont think AoE is large enough o actually hide a ship, I also get fog cloud at level 4
--Shadow trap: Actually characterful, reasonable save or suck that can take a melee foe out of a fight. Will negates, and murderous command is also will negates.
--Barbed chains: Would be reflavored into something more appropriate for her. The question I would have is if improved trip/greater trip would work on that. (RAW probably not, because its the chains making the trip attacks, RAI, someone who is good at tripping can probably employ such chains better then someone who is not) If yes, I would definitly go for it.
--Shield of faith. It exist, it is kind of boring, it is also good.
Arkhan Silvinesti
Arlhan can spontaneously cast his Domain spells. He has Weather Domain, so all Fog spells eventually.
I actually like your current list.
Lucille de Avrois
Revising background:
Proposal:
She was a crewman on the "Icebrytar" "Icebreaker", a Kellid Pirate vesell run by Sigurdr "Snake in the eye" Skuggason. Who is, to his own crew, a lot nicer then his nickname would suggest.
The Icebreaker is notorious for its booze consumption, its fondness of boarding and ramming tactics and for having an incredibly bad opinion of the demon lord Koschtschie, to the point where worshipping a Demon Lord Koschtschie is at war with is actually a + on your hiring cv. Overall, it is a Chaotic Neutral vesell.
Her tasks would have been healing, mending, playing good cop at interrogations or surrender negotiations as well as occassional fighting.
This could maybe tie in with Cnuts background?
She herself is from Galt, but she can drink with a Kellid.
Cnut Bjornsson
Revising background:
This could maybe tie in with Cnuts background?
Sure, why not? Cnut's been all over, changed ships a few times. No reason he couldn't have served on the Icebrytar a few years back. Now we can cheerfully make cryptic and never-explained references together!
Lucille de Avrois
Ideas: Sigurdr "Snake in the Eye" Skuggason
Steelblood-Bloodrager (Abyssal), originally a refugee from Sarkoris, Sigurdr got shanghaied, eventually mutinied and thus joinked his own pirate vesell.
He is noted for giving no expletives about drowning, running around in his trademark full plate while on a ship, and moving quicker in it then many men move naked.
He is actually called "Snake in the eye" to to an incident involving using a Boa as a thrown implement against a beholder.
Highly charismatic, he actually doesnt lead by simple fear, to his own, he is genuinely fun and can inspire massive amounts of loyalty.
In Battle, he leads from the front, heaving around with a massive rune encrusted Greataxe. He has a firearm mounted on his left shoulder that is operated by his pet Monkey Mr. Squiggles.
He occasssionally jokes about staying a pirate because his Alu-Demon daughter's education in Alyushinyrra is expensive, and he would rather not fail his alimony payments.
"The mistress" aka "the consort" aka "Totally not a Succubus!" aka "I dont think she is a Succubus, she is probably a Lilitu!" aka "I am pretty sure she is just a half fiend!" aka "help help I am on fire, falling from a great height and also getting electricuted for running my mouth about her".
Sorceror, evocation specialist, thiefling or worse, can sprout wings, fly, and bestow gifts. So attractive she makes Lucille look drab. Lucille btw. is in the "Pretty sure she is a half fiend" camp, in part because the mistress is too reasonable and sane for a full blown demon.

Questions:
1: Can purify food and drink be used to turn saltwater into drinkable water? I would say yes. Salt is basically just a mineral.
2: Together with her create water, Lucille would create 8 Gallon of sweetwater per day, or 36 litres, meaning about 1,5 litres per crewmember? That is a sizeable increase of daily sweetwater rations and should work well to reduce fatigue/exhaustion DCs by a bit.
