Mama Mambo
Hey y'all. Just wanted to drop this in real quick, I'm not going to be able to post over this weekend.
Reknar
DM Meleager, there are a few pics I am unable to access:
- The red headed woman with a tricorne hat;
- The young lad who scurries to Mama Mambo;
- The barefoot woman as rigger;
Love the pic for the halfling! Brings back memories of BG - is that Montaron? :)
DM Meleager
Dang! Do all scurvy pirates look that good?!
Forget about the blond woman :D
You can you your roll to influence her... but it's pretty clear she's on Scourge's side. Each successful roll will get said character closer to helpful. But if you fail, you can drive someone a step closer to hostile. Characters range from Helpful (Sandara only for now) to Hostile (Scourge's goons).
@Djir I'll be right with you with that map.
DM Meleager
Should Chisomo have a Swab task? Or does she have another even-more-supervised deal
Sorry for not clarifying it. Chisomo's doing task one. It's generally the hardest and Scourge is being a dirtbag for breaking her nose. You're on your own today so you won't be able to influence anyone either. But there are some perks if you can find them.
Reknar
Ouch that sucks - did you have a lot of addons on the browser? Usually those should be easy to recover. Configuring them again may be harder though...
Chisomo
I'll make it prettier later (maybe change it to slides?), but for now, I threw together a quick character bible

Well done, that'll be really helpful. I have edited that Rosie Cusswell is the halfing who wants her violin back from Grok, and also is friendly to Djir...
Also, the sheet lists that Cut-Throat Grok has our gear; I think we got that back through the offices of Sandara, in this post
DM Meleager
Okay, for those wanting to do entertainment things, remember that these are usually played for money. Given you don't have much to offer yet, these games are out of your reach unless you ask someone who's Helpful to play along with you or you can get creative in getting someone to play with you. But don't you worry, there will be chances to get some gp in the future.
Mama Mambo You only have one night action unless you want to do the influence check at the dead of night and take the Fort Save.
Arkhan and Chisomo You'll need to choose which person you'll want to influence for that check. You can do these checks to all the swabs and riggers as well as Kroop and Grok at night. The officers are generally off limits to talk to. Sandara is already helpful so there's no need to influence her. Given your current roll, I can chalk it up that you talked to Rosie or Samms so that you won't bring anyone else down a level. There is another way to mitigate this. You can have other PCs perform Aid Another in their Influence checks to add a +2 bonus to your check if you make a DC 10. Helpful NPCs can give you a +2 in their check as well.
Chisomo
Makes sense - Could that roll be used to ask Sandara for that favor? Getting a rundown from an already friendly face seems very useful.
Oh, and I forgot to flag it, but Chisomo's not doing a late night activity so she can rest up
@Djir, my impression was that we only got back the actual backpacks themselves (and the singled out pieces of gear), but happy to be wrong.

Did Rosie answer any of my questions?

Did Rosie answer any of my questions?
That's been fixed.
Mama Mambo please tell me who you're trying to influence. I will say that you're likely to get most people in your good graces.
Mama Mambo
Lol, the entertainment was a vehicle for the influence. I guess I assumed that since there was no money was on the table it would just be an influence action rather than an entertainment and an influence action.
In any case the influence target was Grok since I mentioned her in the post. It doesn't matter to me who, at the moment, so if there is someone else that I should be trying for please let me know. Perhaps my fellow players can make a suggestion. I don't have time right at the moment to go through the NPC list Chisomo made.

Getting a 'something went wrong message: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'id')' on the map link
I think that means you need to be logged in on the site. I made a login though, and it sill won't load, "Something went wrong... 500 fetch failed".
Mama Mambo
Can we use Google slides please? No login needed for players.

I like that map tool.
Google slides always has the danger to move the background and is fiddly.
This is easy peasy and also free.
DM Meleager
Until that is resolved, let's see if this will work.
Here is also the link for the invite for the other site if you want to try that instead.

That's an easy fix that more games need to use. Slide->Edit theme->choose a layout to modify->make all adjustments that will be fixed->x out->slide menu->apply layout->make adjustments that are supposed to be editable
posted from my DM login so you can view the link for the game I run as an example

Yeah well could work too, actually not bad.
Now the other thing works fine though.
Only can't paint the cone i want to make, gonna include the first 3 in the first line from the bottom and the one in front of the stairs.

OK, having gotten a log-in on the tableplop site, and follow DM Meleager's link to join his (PatricktheKid's) campaign, I can now see the map on tableplop...
Another advantage of google slides is that everyone can draw on the map; which makes players laying down their spell effects easier...
I have sent DM Meleager a request to let me into the google slides doc.

It's not over yet and i think the rest also wants to do some stuff.
Djir seems to have some fun intentions and there's at least one left for Chisomo to rough up^^
They could also be tied up quickly or something.
Reknar
@Chisomo That's right. You only got your backpacks as well as those two specific items. You can get the rest of the stuff back in a number of ways over the course of your stay here. And Sandara's already helpful, so you'd have to be especially cruel to get into her bad graces.
So we got empty backpacks for now, is that it? :)

You get your own lockers on the ship, but at least you'll get to carry whatever you can get with you with no trouble now.

Wasn't there an excel sheet with people to influence? Can't find it again, but not sure it was there either.
Completely lost track somehow^^

Here is the spreadsheet of the characters. I haven't revealed the characters' current level at the beginning, but you can at least guess who's the hostile ones. No one else is worse that Unfriendly.
