btw, if you haven't already, please complete the rpg chronicles signup sheet for the characters you will apply this chronicle to. For the Beginner Box, the character receiving the chronicle has to be lvl 1.

You can use one reaction per turn. But he did an either-or (AoO if someone triggers it or Shield Block if I get hit).

Please verify your chronicles are correct as we are near the end. Isolde and Kyra, if you'd like your downtime to be part of your chronicle, please go ahead and roll them.

The optional encounter is basically a "for fun and bragging rights" and won't affect the outcome of your characters (i.e. I can release chronicles even while we play it)

Downtime is usually Lore or Crafting or Performance, unless you have a feat that allows you to use medicine.

This is the character I am assigning the chronicle.

Probably a PFS rule. I looked up earning income downtime in Nethys and it said you could use medicine.

Change that to a +3 and Kyra will use lore.

Let me double check that -- I've always been told you needed a feat to use medicine...

Nope. The beginner box basically leads into the Adventure "Troubles in Otari", which is not really a Beginner Box adventure. The lvl 3 is pretty much the limitation of the Beginner Box -- anything past that will need the full ruleset.

But if we are levelling up to level 2, and this is the final encounter, when would we get an opportunity to use the level 3 bump?

Well, the hope was for the GM to continue using the Beginner Box rules to create their own adventures and all. I updated the loot file. You can head back up to town and buy additional supplies if you wish. Also yes, prior to the optional encounter, I'm going to assume you're all rested and at full hp.

Kyra will replace one of her scrolls with the loot, but that is about it.

Ezren will buy a scroll of flaming sphere for 4 gp.

Isolde, would you want the +1 short sword I've been using? That is a weapon on your list. I plan on using this magical longsword.
