Jean calls back down the hall, "There is another snake creature and a whole bunch of spiders back in here."

He then avoids them and heads through the next set of doors.

As he moves in he wrinkles his nose and calls back, "This place stinks!"

He then moves on and sees the glowing helmet. He will cast Detect Magic and try to see what glows.

Nothing comes to Zaidel through the closed door. Even after Jean opens the door and enters the servant's quarters.

Jean:
The item itself is not magical but it has the spell eternal torch upon it.

The snake like critter sits and waits. The spiders begin to walk back into the manor.

Seeing the spiders begin to creep away he takes action. He goes for a grapple after putting his greatsword on his back. Threatening them both. Provoking an AoO as he goes for the grapple.

This child-sized spider’s blue-and-yellow-striped abdomen shimmers as it scuttles along. Each of them bite at Matthew, a drop of thick purple venom drips from its mandibles.

Dream Web (Ex)
A dream spider can spin webs just like a monstrous spider of the same size but its webs carry an iridescent hue, making them easy to notice (Spot DC 15). Any animal, humanoid, giant, or monstrous humanoid that comes in contact with these webs experiences strange hallucinations, taking 1 point of Wisdom damage per round of contact. A DC 11 Fortitude save negates this damage. If the webs of a dream spider are burned, they create a spread of poisonous gas in a 10-foot radius. This gas deals 1d4 points of Wisdom damage to all creatures in the area (not just to those susceptible to contact with webs as listed above). A DC 11 Fortitude save halves this damage. The cloud of colorful vapor remains for only a single round before dissipating harmlessly. The save DC is Constitution-based.

Upstairs you see that another staircase goes up and this room is another servents quarters. There is 2 doors, one that likely will go to a hallway and the other that will likely go to a room.

Round 2 - Grappling spiders

He looks at the girls and simply says, "I got this, watch Zaidel's back. I plan on having it be my friend, though the snake would be easier to tame."

Of which he pins it to the ground.

Round 3

He disengages with the pinned spider draws his sword and goes to hit it with the flat of his blade. I barely miss.

It gets up and scurries 20 feet away.

Round 4

Catching up to the spider I smack it with the flat side of the greatsword knocking it out.
Walking through the webs... not noticing anything in search for more spider's and other critters to smack.

The other spider disengages with Locke and scurries back to its room.

There is several trails of spiders that are coming your way. They are tiny to diminutive in size.

Locke comes back in a few minutes with four spiders knocked out and being dragged behind him. He takes them out and lays them beside the goblins.

Jean heads towards the door that likely leads to a room.


Jean:
You open the door and find an impeccible library. There are ten everburning torches making the room well lit. The shelves are full of books and are organized by author. There are two long comfy couches and two large tables dominate the room. The tables have eight chairs around each of them. The fire place had a low flame on embers and an arm chair in the corner. A massive portrait of a distinguished handsome young man dominates the wall over the fireplace. No creatures seem to be in this room.

The laughter and giggles has continued though sometimes you are not effected by the uneasiness. You hear laughter coming from the otherside of the door to the West.

You hear whimpering coming from the library room. You can't be certain of where it is coming from. Then you see her hiding next to the mantle of the fireplace. A small girl possibly a boy with long brown hair, its night dress is a bit dirty.

Jean walks away from the library closing the door. Then taking the lead he goes up to the other door and opens it.

He can see the little pitiful creatures on either side of the door and a medium sized gnoll with a falchion in hand that looks as mangy as the others.

Zaidel puts his mouth back up to his lips and with the help of ghost sounds, pipes out a classic!
An affected ally receives a +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls.

She walks up the stairs seeing and hearing the beginning sounds of combat she casts, magic missile, at the gnoll in front of Jean. 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5


Jean's right claw hits the dog man, the bloody wound is large but the gnoll doesn't drop until hit hit by the magic missile.

Jon goes for a bull rush, moving out of the door and pushing the small creature back with a leg. He provokes but brings the fight out onto the balcony.

As you call upon your luck ability the uneasiness flees you and you are able to concentrate on defending yourself and attacking.

Mia unleashes a magic missile hitting and hurting the yellow weasel. Jon's work is quickly ruined by the threats around him moving in to attack him and the open spot he had for another ally. The hunched, feral, furry, hyena-headed humanoids stand slightly taller than the average human. They fire their arrows at the large target of Jon but only one of the arrows digs into his flesh.

Jean misses his bite attack but the two claw attacks rend the weasel. Zaidel moves into the opening and takes down a gremlin.

Realizing the commotion that is coming from the 2nd floor and combat obviously happening, he quickly take the stairs. Then seeing Jon in the predicament he moves forward again. Taking two AoO. Then claiming the stance of, "Valiant Keeper’s Stance! Quick Jon run down to the next floor and once healed up come back! These fools won't be able to attack you in this stance. Full retreat I can only stop these near me."

In the thick of it he glares at the gremlins with a growing grin, "I am going to cleave you next!"

Seeing the situation he yells, "Jean get those archers! Protect Jon! Everyone it might be wise to move to Jon and heal him. I will deal with this rabble."

Mia lets off another magic missile at the yellow weasel that is already hurt by her. 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Jon retreats. Before anything else can happen to sway the archers from shooting at another target they aim at Jon cackling as they do it. Egging each other on. The arrows almost get to Jon but a golden shield appears for a split second blocking the arrows. A simple golden coin materializes before Jon's face and then drops to the ground. The gnolls whine at the unfairness of their easy kill. Of course in gnoll, which sounds like laughter and dogs barking. The gremlins attack but the spears don't even hit Matthew or Zaidel.
