hehe, yeah, I had forgotten that Krysta isn't a humanoid (she's considered a dragon) and enlarge person only works on humanoid type targets (unless it is house ruled otherwise).

No biggie really, until I get a few ore levels I should really not be getting into the thick of things.

I did already apply the Gestalt.

I don't fully understand the wish process or what it costs us or what the potential consequences can be, something like a curse, I think?

I'm happy to do the quest work to gain levels regularly, but not sure how it works if we have to hide from the baddies and not participate. My Floof Eidolon should be safe to engage enemies since she shouldn't be killable, per se.


Both of you should be Gestalt as you are apart of the team.

She is offering to make a wish on your behalf. You probably should return the favor. Talk with Jellena about it.

Well if the enemies are above your level and you don't participate in combat in a productive way then you don't gain XP. Most of the baddies you fight in the forest should have a CR below a treant.

Here's the link Zaidel posted earlier. With the way a dragon's natural attacks stack up, a monk class could absolutely shred, if the GM waives the alignment requirement anyway. Otherwise, something with good class abilities or bonus feats would work well.

@GM, I wanted to ask about where we might stand experience wise right now? We've been through the goblin camp, where I mostly just helped move the goblins out but Krysta really contributed to the fight.

Then Zaidel fought the Forlarren, where I mainly just did my Satire Bardic Performance. We talked to the invisible fey creature and gathered information and now we've done the Treant fight, where Krysta defended and got killed and I cast some spells and hid. The Floof contributed to the fight, or tried, lol! Are we maybe getting close to level 3?

I just never realized we were doing Gestalt Builds in the first place. See if I can get myself updated all the way.

Now I need to figure out what I want to Gestalt with!

*EDIT*

I am kind of leaning towards two options though I am open for suggestions.

1.) Unchained Rogue (would help with skills and shoring up my survivability from AoEs some but I don't have much dex to take full advantage of it).

2.) Ranger (natural attack style or ranged style) would also help shore up reflex saves and provide me some means of buffing my natural attacks.

Rather undecided beyond that though I could make really good use of charisma based abilities so Oracle could be a good choice if I get one that adds char to AC instead of Dex.

Either a rogue or ranger would be a great addition. It looks like this party attracts the those of high charisma! But I'm certain th sublime template helps.

Hmmm, just had another idea. Ninja would be a really interesting combo with the build. It would give me disable device (though no trap sense nor a way to get it that I can find which I find odd) and I would get ki points based off of my Cha for the tricks. It could work well if I can find a way to finagle trap sense too.

Also, had a question. With combat style feats, specifically Dragon Style, one of the requirements is improved unarmed strike. Would you allow my having natural dragon claws preclude the need for Improved Unarmed Strike as a pre-req?

I believe trap sense is a rogue talent you could take as a ninja. I could be wrong.

Yes the requirement is waived as you are a half-dragon.

I had considered kineticist but Occult Classes were not really being allowed based off of the initial recruitment so I stayed away from the idea. If it is allowed it would be a good one though.

I have to admit the ninja idea is kind of funny really, I can just see her telling people, "I'm a ninja." And no one believing her until she does some strange ninja stuff on them.

I had thought of Monk of the Scaled Fist (and had thought about it) but her alignment prevents it.

A ninja is a good choice. You could be a Hidden Leaf Village ninja. They don't look like ninjas either.

Dang, ninja's don't have a way to get trapfinding. There is a trait from one of the APs that gives it though.

If you haven't done so yet, roll for your luck stat. You can also give some examples of your luck in real life to give yourself a boost.

Those with the luck stat, I will be changing the modifier to standard ability scores to boost your luck.

How does luck work in the game?
Luck of 12:
Luck of the Chosen: 1/day you may add your luck modifier to an ability check or skill check.

Luck of 16:
Surge of luck: 1/day you can add 1d4 per luck modifier before finding out the result to a save throw.

Luck of 18:
Combat Luck: 1/day add 1d4 per luck modifier before finding out the result to an attack.

Luck of 22:
No longer 1/day but you take them from the same pool: Times per day = 3+ luck modifier.

Also it modifies what is rolled for you on random loot boxes. So I will need you to remind me of that stat when you post for your daily quest rewards.

Decided to go with Ninja. I will either use a feat next level for extra trait to take Trap Finder or maybe use the Chosen of the Mistress bonuses to do that next level and save a feat (though I have an idea what I would want to use that for instead so we will see). Likely going to pick up Dragon Style as well because it makes me laugh at the idea of a ninja that charges in like that.

Oh...Luck stat...yeah....that's...we don't want examples of my luck for that...I make statistical improbabilities happen in really bad ways....yeah...32 consecutive rolls under an 11 on a d20 sums my luck up really well

Luck is a hard thing to quantify. I tend to do well in games of chance, the more a game relies on hard strategy, the less well I do. (Chess, Risk, Warhammer 40k) Though I'm not bad at puzzle-based stuff.

In life, I have probably had as many as 5 near-death experiences and survived. But it might be considered bad luck to come so close to dying in the first place, lol!

I consider myself lucky and/or blessed to have had a mostly happy home life, both as a kid with my folks and as an adult with my kids. I have always had help when I needed it and been able to offer it when others needed help from me.

I notice lucky coincidences a lot, like the day I went to the shelter to start the process to pick a dog to adopt, I very much wanted a puppy and they just so happened to have rescued a pregnant stray who had just whelped her litter that very morning. I was able to foster the lot and pick my favorite (the Floof!) The rest were adopted when they were old enough and the mother dog became attached to us so we kept her too since she had heart worm disease and the shelter would have her destroyed if she went back. They told us she probably wouldn't last another year. That was six years ago, lol.

Also, Desna has the Luck domain. ^_^

Added luck stat to the sheet and will ooh and ahh appropriately over the new faces tomorrow. I just got back from taking my youngest to a funeral for a friend, a 16 yo young man. Sad day.

No worries, take the time you need.

Krysta could give up fast healing, regeneration, and channel or cast healing of some sort. Being a brawling ninja there isn't anything you can add.

I get new languages for the increased intelligence. What are some good ones for this campaign? I'm guessing the various earth-based or golarion-based languages don't really feature here?

Standard languages work the best. Land based languages like Xian can be taken but likely won't be used.

Language is normally learned through Linguistics and research. I don't think you gain languages from the Int increase.
