Mal, double checking new max hp...I probably made a mistake somewhere. I had you at 27 for some reason:
8 (max rogue level 1) + 4 (con) + 6 (1st sorc) + 3 (2nd sorc, rolled 2 but take half) + 6 (3rd sorc)
Also your Eyes of the Dark power (darkness and seeing through the darkness etc) is available immediately as well.

Hey guys! I'm on a weird schedule until about May 12th. There will be days (today) when I can be very active on the PbP, but there will be days when I won't be able to post here. Intelligence (Sleight of Hand) is the optional rule for knots from Xanathar's. I tend to go with printed rules unless there isn't one. :)
The rules are purposely open-ended concerning mundane tasks like tying knots, but sometimes knowing how well a knot was fashioned is important in a dramatic scene when someone is trying to untie a knot or slip out of one. Here’s an optional rule for determining the effectiveness of a knot.
The creature who ties the knot makes an Intelligence (Sleight of Hand) check when doing so. The total of the check becomes the DC for an attempt to untie the knot with an Intelligence (Sleight of Hand) check or to slip out of it with a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check.
This rule intentionally links Sleight of Hand with Intelligence, rather than Dexterity. This is an example of how to apply the rule in the “Variant: Skills with Different Abilities” section in chapter 7 of the Player’s Handbook.
Completely understandable. I never saw that one. I could see also allowing someone with the Sailor background either advantage or able use their proficiency modifier.

Yes, PMed. We were discussing shield proficiency and possibly changing his character so he might be hesitant to take part in battle until that is resolved. Will move things on in a few hours though.
Okay... What if the shield grants him proficiency? Though, even if he did have proficiency, he would still need to spend an Action to don the shield. (As a fighter-player, I am all-too familiar with this rule...)
Works for me, as long as other PCs don't cry foul for the free prof.
It could only be for the shield... The shield wants to be used, and as such, assists the PC...
It makes sense to me, and we all seem like the kind of players that are okay with it. At least, I am, I don't want to put words in the others' mouths. ^_^

I don't know. I just see the scene of the two Spartans in 300 fighting side-by-side, switching off opponents, each taking advantage of the distraction.
Maybe we could get a 1d6 weapon damage bonus like Sneak Attack but only when fighting alongside one of our own teammates that we train with? This could be something when we get tier 2? Maybe at tier 3 it increases to a d8?
