Heading south, the western door leads to a hallway that goes back to the red light room.
The eastern side opens into a vast chamber where fifteen transparent pillars fill the center of this 30-foot-high room. A bright light shines down into the center of each chamber. A catwalk 10 feet above the ground circles around the edge of the room without handrail or banister. Stairs lead up to the catwalk by your western door.
Scarred One |
Scarred One looks through the creatures "What is this? Prison cells? Some sick display?"
He looks at the passage around.
Any controls in the room? Is the sidewalk just to glance from above? Or are there other things there? And the dotted lines on the map, do they symbolize something?
Oorgatch |
"Hmm... Could be spare parts for a fleshwarper, or someone is storing creatures to use later for some nefarious reason?"
Pirate GM |
No visible controls although with enough force you could probably break one open. The walkway does just seem for observation purposes.
No meaning to dotted lines.
The creature in the closest "pillar" appears to be a chuul. Various other monsters exist in the other ones, although one appears dead instead of standing unmoving.
Black border, mid column, 4 down.
In the back corner of the room an incorporeal being of fire materializes in the back corner. You can feel a palpable sense of burning hatred coming from the creature as it quickly flies in your direction.

After everyone heals yan searches the room. I shouldn't read a book while I'm on fire, should I? Maybe I can try. We need to save the mayor's daughter, where's that Denizen of Leng?
Any knowledge checks on these pillars, now that we're closer?
Pirate GM |
The creatures inside appear to be in some sort of stasis. Nine contain living creatures, generally aberrations, including a chuul and a drider along with several creatures you suspect are quite powerful.
There's a dead mess in one of them, some sort of strange fleshwarp, likely a Gogiteth. A Slavering nightmare of teeth, eyes, and hairy spiderlike legs, even in death its horrible appearance is seared into your minds.
The NW pillar is seriously blackened, whatever it contained has been incinerated. Further investigation of it leaves a psychic impression of Belcorra trapped a hag in this pillar burning her to death, and binding her spirit as the creature of green flame.
The soot blackened pillar seems to have a few items in it, but it's hard to make out exactly what they are. Breaking any pillar should be relatively easy although freeing any of the monsters might be a bad idea.
