The Story of Sendoski and Naught or How I Became a Witch:
Growing up, people always told me I was different. That I was cursed. Called me a son of a hag. Called me a changeling on account of my eyes; got a good one that’s blue, and a bad one that’s violet. Not bad like I can’t see out of it, but bad ‘cause it puts people off, makes it hard for them to look me in the eyes.
But I don’t feel different. If I’m a changeling, I haven’t heard the call. No hag has ever come to find me. No coven has come knocking on my door. And that’s a good thing, I’m sure.
I grew up in a big family. All of us orphans. Our Pa worked at the lumber mill, and our Ma made the best rhubarb pie I ever tasted. I never felt cursed, unless that curse was boredom, or the small town blues, in which case I felt it a lot. I was always a dreamer. Spent my time down at the Gauntlight ruins, or reading about the Roseguard. Those were some heroes. It’s a little embarrassing now, but I used wonder, what if I’m really the son of Otari Ilvashti, the founder of this here town, or even Zarmavdian the mighty wizard? And not some son of a hag abandoned to the wilds.
I was down there the other night, poking around the ruins. I don’t know why, but that’s my favorite time to go exploring, under the light of the moon. That’s when I feel the most free. And I saw this cat down there, a white one, watching me. There’s stray cats all over this town, who can keep track of them, but I swear I saw that one again, hanging around the bushes near my place. And would you believe, he has a violet eye, just like mine! If I see that cat a third time, I’m going to have to do something about it.

Ruin Delver:

You’ve looked through some of the smaller ruins in the Otari hinterlands but have never quite built up the courage to check out the creepy lighthouse called Gauntlight. You’ve heard that these ruins are pretty well picked over, and mostly collapsed, but you always planned to some day explore them and perhaps find some bauble left behind from the centuries-old battle where the Roseguard slew an evil sorcerer. You know that the crumbled stone of old ruins has a tendency to shift, so you’d better step lightly if you get the chance to explore Gauntlight.
Choose two ability boosts. One must be to Dexterity or Intelligence, and one is a free ability boost.
You’re trained in Acrobatics and the Roseguard Lore skill. You gain the Cat Fall skill feat.
