Yan, gets another day of progress on repairing the Thursty Alpaca (16/30 days, no check needed) while the rest of the party watches over Dorianna in her sleep.

She gives off a strong psychic aura as she reads, and the party is able to make some sense, or at least confirm earlier bits.

  • There is a strong link between Dorianna’s mind and the Dimension of Dreams. A denizen of Leng has strengthened this conduit; unless that creature is destroyed, Dorianna will eventually be drawn wholly into that dimension and lost to this world.
  • You get a vision of the Denizen's lair: a stone chamber with a very old map of the Inner Sea region painted on it across from a map consisting of several tattered pieces of paper that, together, constitute a detailed map of Otari. Based on the stonework you would guess somewhere in the Abomination Vaults, but it is not a room you have encountered.
  • The denizen’s name is Ysondkhelir and you can see him in your mind's eye.

    Yan tries to direct his own dreams but seemingly has no luck.

    It's the next day. Both Wrin and dream analysis happen at night, so it'll take another day, I'd let Yan work on the tavern during the day and visit Wrin for the hour or so needed for her ritual but timing with people wanting to do that and look over Dorianna is problematic.

    Ysondkhelir is a Denizen of Leng. While the name Ysondkhelir is meaningless to you, there is some familiarity with the plane of Leng. It is connected to the dreamlands. It is a roiling inhospitable airless realm hedged in by two titanic mountain ranges that run from the Dreaming Mountains to the Cold Waste.

    Any creature from there is likely immune to both fire and cold as well environmental toxins and the like.

    Also you're pretty sure you shouldn't accept their rubies as gifts or payments.

    It's easy enough to make your way through the tunnels and back down. Unsure about your welcomeness in the tavern and the changes due to the slaying of the Fleshwarper it's probably best to leave those alone for now.

    Heading down, you find an eerie silence awaits you. Your other senses are assaulted however. The stench of brimstone, eye burning smoke and the lingering taste of ash all make this level immediately unpleasant.

    The long hallway you find yourself in stretches north to south.

    The north and east walls each have a door with small, sliding windows. A raised portcullis at the northeastern end here has metal points crusted with dried blood.

    As you step off of the stairs into the corridor a pair of Nhimbaloth's Eyes of Death light up, appearing as skulls coated in orange and purple flames. Will-o'-Wisps

    Oorgatch prepares himself while Sendoski draws a scroll and makes for a pair of sparkly wisps, that happen to be surrounding him!

    The Orange wisp, now partially visible makes faces at Sendoski.

    Sendoski finds the portcullis already raised although a bit of red light spills out under the door. Something magical and bright red is clearly past the double doors.

    No traps here. Scarred One opens the sliding window in the north door and finds an empty cell. The door is not locked and opening and further search reveals nothing more than a fusty and cobweb covered forgotten cell.

    Oorgatch opening the eastern door window finds a filthy cell, with an unconscious tiefling woman slumped upside down with her feet manacled to the wall. The manacles appear carefully polished in contrast to the rest of the filth covered room.

    The door has a poor lock that Oorgatch thinks shouldn't be much of a problem to open.

    The manacles are just latched, and not locked, you suspect in her upside down state she just couldn't reach them.

    With that medicine check you can provide the life saving care necessary. She's in extremely bad shape.

    She sips the water but eyes you suspiciously. "It's been months, or years." she whispers meekly between sips of water after she regains consciousness. "I didn't think I'd ever be rescued..."

    Despite your ministrations she seems unfriendly. Making a good impression might help though.

    The ancient one looks at Yan in glasses, and wonders since when he was carrying those. I honestly missed the glasses part, I checked the thread and first mention was around a year ago! Wow
