Atlan gets a hit on Red and finishes it off. After searching the area you are not able to find any sign of the fisherman Soran or his boat. You are convinced however that there is no more Chupacabra in the area.
As you return back to Talmandor’s Bounty and talking with the guards about what you found they inform you that Ramona Avandth is wanting to talk to you all in the government house.
As you enter the building you see Ramona there, Thank you all for coming, a satchel containing the ship's manifest and resupply schedule was stolen from this building the previous night along with a leather purse containing 50gp.
She lets out a small sigh, I believe it was Medrinnah Harleau who might have perpetrated the theft and she is the teenage daughter of colonial soldier Sighra Harleau. I don't want to make this into a big deal as long as the property is retrieved. I think that having legal proceedings could put undue strain on the family and the colony as a whole. Would you be able to find Medrinnah at the tailor's shop she is apprenticing and talk to her about the missing items and gold?
Slide 1 updated with the picture of Ramona and Medrinnah.

Evan “Fang” Grissom |

Fang cocks an eyebrow at the mention of having a casual chat with the apparent thief.
"Hmm."

Rhysfar Llannelan |

"Ah, just a kid messing around. Getting caught and called out on it will probably be more than enough to ensure she doesn't do anything like that again," Rhys says, with the confidence of a person who never broke the rules as a kid, and who has only a vague understanding of the appeal of mischief.

Eustice Befufftlefumpter |

"Hmm... sudden changes in behavior that cause strife amongst the small population. This could be the work of 'you-know-who".

Mary Kay Ponzi |

Atlan, I thought you might like taking on an apprentice. The skills are useful, she just needs a better sense of picking targets. The community is not the first choice. Mary Kay lets a small grin form at that.
Sudden changes in behavior of young teen-aged girls. It might be bodily changes, if she is not prepared for them. Not sure if Sighra is dad or mom. Single dad might be unprepared for this.

Evan “Fang” Grissom |

"If it's all the same to yous, I'll jus watch. Sounds like the kid needs a spankin, not a zappin."

Eustice Befufftlefumpter |

"I would relish the opportunity to question this young lady. First I will need to retrieve one of my journals." Eustice will retrieve and review the notes he's made of the individuals named as being involved.

Rhysfar Llannelan |

Timing is rough due to the short duration, but Rhys will cast guidance on Eustice just prior to entering the shop, although it may where off before he gets a chance to use it.

GM Bozzinator |

I would say that you will be able to cast guidance and let it last until he uses it.
Eustice grabs his journal and you all head towards the tailors shop. The tailors shop is a small shop that currently has no customers inside. There are some shelves with various small items for sale and you see someone in the back that matches the description of girl that Ramona gave you.

Rhysfar Llannelan |

Rhys sends some gold off to the Locathah village for a scroll of restoration (Relevant rolls in the discussion thread.

Rhysfar Llannelan |

Rhys stays outside, sauntering around the building to see if there's a back exit. Esgi follows at his heels. If so, he leans against the wall and waits, in case the girl decides to do a runner.

Evan “Fang” Grissom |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Fang also waits outside, ending up watching a line of ants as the carry bits of leaves to their nest.
Gotta be hard to be that small. Everyone looking down on you and steppin all over ya. Heck, some folks even eat these things. Bleh. Gross. I like my meat to be... you know, meaty. Not crunchy. Well, maybe some bone is alright. But that warm feeling of the meat on your tongue, and then the blood from a fresh kill as it coats your tongue. Yeah, you ain't gonna get that from no bugs.

Eustice Befufftlefumpter |

"Yes, indeed. But I would like to do so in the presence of your guardian. Where might they be located?"
Do we have any idea where we might locate an adult responsible for her?

Eustice Befufftlefumpter |

"I wish your father to be present out of respect for your father. Can one of you find him while the rest of us get a little more comfortable please?"

Eustice Befufftlefumpter |

Assuming we can fast forward a bit to after that happens.
" I'm afraid we may be the bearers of bad news sir. An important satchel containing the ship's manifest and resupply schedule was stolen and reliable sources place your daughter here as a likely suspect. We don't wish to involve official legal proceedings, and really only care to have the missing property returned. May we have your leave to question her, and if necessary search her belongings, for the missing items?"

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Eustice Befufftlefumpter |

"These items, which you removed from the proper place and discarded so rashly, are still missing. As much as you want to duck the responsibility of their disappearance, the fact remains you left them unattended where you discarded them and if not for your actions, they would not me missing. You are responsible for them. Its best to reflect on the time in question and share whatever details, however unimportant you may think, that you may have left out up until now."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11

Eustice Befufftlefumpter |

"So you don't recall what time of day it was? What day it was? Whether or not anyone else was around? You saw nothing else at all? No other details that may prove useful to us, and yourself included? Your recounting of events has proven to be very sparse of details. 'I took the 50gp and dropped the bag.' isn't very helpful. And if you aren't helpful, what reason do I have to be helpful towards you?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

GM Bozzinator |

I was in the morning and I didn't see anyone around, that's the reason I did it at that time. I grabbed the purse and papers and went to leave. As I left I didn't need the papers so I dropped them right outside the door. Honest that is all I know. I would be willing to help look for the papers but honest I just dropped them by the door and didn't look back.

Evan “Fang” Grissom |

Eventually growing bored with the ants, Fang turns his attention to a nearby tree. Spotting a couple apples on the higher branches. He points and flicks a small bolt of electricity towards the branch, but the hard wood absorbs the shock with only the slightest mark left behind.
"Hm."
Holding out his hands, he tries again, putting a bit more power behind it, but the limb barely moves at the crackling blast hits it.
"Play nice now. Gimme those apples"
Focusing on his blast, he puts even more power into the next shot. The branch shakes a bit, but the apples hold on tightly and refuse to fall.
Glaring at the tree with clear anger.
"FINE!"
Fang draws in power, leeching strength from the air itself and overcharging his blast, the noise nearly deafening. He holds onto the bolt for several seconds until it seems ready to burst in his hands before firing the beam at the tree. The crack of thunder rings out as the blast hits the branch and practically vaporizes it and the succulent apples.
The adaro continues to glare at the offending tree.
Well... crap. I was gonna give those to miss Mary.
sorry... just keeping myself occupied :P

Darius Coldwall |

well let's check the surrounding homes and see if someone picked it up
Atlan will then go door to door investigating polietly

Eustice Befufftlefumpter |

"I don't like to leave a task unfinished but I have to agree. With no further leads we should return with what we were able to recover. Come along young lady. You owe someone an apology."

GM Bozzinator |

You guys head out towards the coordinates that was left for you at the last location.
An impact crater more than a hundred feet across punches into the mountainside, shrouded in dense vegetation and surrounded by toppled stone blocks, crumbling pillars, and shattered statues obscured by the island’s lush flora. Small streams flow down from the mountainside into the yawning crater that descends into the earth.

Mary Kay Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Atlan Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Rhysfar Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
As you all approach the crater, Fang, Atlan, Mary and Rhysfar spot moving humanoid silhouettes cast against the ruins.

Mary Kay Ponzi |

Mary Kay glances toward the sky to see if those flying creatures are leaving shadows on the wall.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20 surprised she made the initial check
Moving closer, I wonder if these are a more advanced version of what we saw under the waterfall?

Rhysfar Llannelan |

How far away are these humanoids, about?
Rhys taps Atlan on the shoulder. Casting shared training to grant Atlan the Outflank feat.
Whenever you and an ally who also has this feat are flanking the same creature, your flanking bonus on attack rolls increases to +4. In addition, whenever you score a critical hit against the flanked creature, it provokes an attack of opportunity from your ally.
