Maslow will suddenly appear small sized and start walking slowly towards the settlement. Well i suppose ill do the job im here for and scout the place. Keep quiet we don't know what happened here or what could still be there.

Maslow will stealth towards the buildings and make his way stealthily to the battlements

Once stealthed up maslow is closer to the village he will take a look at the buildings

As Eustice and Brother move ahead to scout a little they see some tents setup.

Seven canvas pavilion tents were set up here, all of which are large enough to shelter two to three people each. All but two tents have collapsed due to wind, rain, and lack of maintenance. The two that remain standing lean haphazardly and do not appear to have been entered for a long time. Grass has begun to grow around them.

As Brother goes to take a look he sees alot of random equipment, mundane personal items like clothing, pots and pans, waterskins, mementos, some of which is salvageable if time is taken to clean them. Also the tents seem to be salvageable but one of them has a nest of some small animals with feces scattered around, with cleaning you can salvage the tents as well. He does tell you about a shirt that looks to be in surprisingly good condition compared to everything else around it.

"Oh dear. Its seems this area has been abandoned for some time. There's some salvageable equipment here. We shall press on for now and look for survivors. Come Brother, don't be so pessimistic." Eustice calls out to his companions. He has Brother cast Detect Magic.


The shirt is detecting as magic as well as 4 small items in a satchel near the shirt.

Mary Kay moves up the lane toward the opening in the pallisade. Staying back from the wall, she starts scanning to keep her companions in sight.

Brother retrievs the magic items and brings them to Eustice, then the pair move on.

"Hmm some interesting items here... I'll have to examine them more closely once we've searched more thoroughly. Back to work Brother."

Maslow will make his way to A3 and peer into the window stealthily

Brother comes back and hands you a small satchel that has 4 vials of red liquid and a shirt that is in surprisingly good condition compared to other things in the tents.

Maslow will peek through the windows of A3 and see that inside the ground has been dug out to a depth of 3 feet so that the floor is lower than the ground outside. Strings of garlic hang suspended from ceiling crossbeams alongside chunks of salted meat and bone. Debris and refuse is strewn across the floor between stacks of crates, boxes, and barrels against the walls.

As Brother enters in A5.
This L-shaped building is constructed of mud bricks on a wooden frame. The western portion is of the structure is enclosed by four walls. This section has a single open window on the south side, with a canvas curtain hung across the opening. The single entrance is a wooden door, standing slightly ajar, on the southern end of the eastern face of the building. A ten-foot extension connects to the building on the east side. This extension has only a northern wall and is otherwise just a roof sheltering the space below, which is open to the outside. Underneath this cover is a forge with an exhaust flue directly above it, a worktable covered in metal scraps, a small tub of black water, and a partially sheltered anvil.


As Brother phases through the wall of A5 he sees 2 sleeping creatures and 1 creature walking around. You hear a screech as the other 2 wake up.

"Oh bother... Brother seems to have gotten into trouble." Eustice moves towards the building.

Brother waits for the arrival of reinforcements, telling Eustice telepathically the locations of the hostile creatures so that information can be relayed to the rest of the group.

Eustice looks about, a bit perturbed and calls out, "Brother! Brother where are you! Stop fooling around and get out here!" and he concentrates on changing Brother ectoplasmic.

Brother passes through the table and wall would provoke from both , moving into a flanking position on red . He delivers a touch spell to the creature and waits to be ectoplasmic.

Touch of Graclessness:

With a single touch, you reduce a creature to a fumbling clown. The target takes a penalty to its Dexterity equal to 1d6+1 per two caster levels (maximum 1d6+5). This penalty cannot drop the target’s Dexterity score below 1.

In addition, if the subject moves more than half its speed, it falls prone. If the subject flies, its maneuverability is reduced by one step (perfect maneuverability becomes good, good becomes average, and so on).

A successful Fortitude save halves the penalty to Dexterity and negates the possibility of falling prone or the reduction to fly maneuverabilities

A lot of this depends on when/if Blue falls. Both Eustice and Brother go for blue first. If Blue is down they will change their attacks to Green. Brother gets 2 attacks per round, regardless of movement.

Eustice fires off a telekinetic projectile at his target.

Mary Kay and Maslow got some hits on Blue and then Rhysfar was able to get the killing blow. Then Esgidiau moves up to strike at Green, Brother walks up and slams Green while Eustice slings a rock at Green.

Swift to swap back to Eagle focus on Esgidiau.

Rhys whistles softly and makes a circle gesture with his finger.

"Don't eat them until we know if they're poison. Poisonous? Venomous." he says absently to Esgi.

Rhys steps over the body and has a look around the building.

Each of the creatures has a buckler, 3 daggers, and a shortspear. Inside the house among the mess of stuff everywhere you find 3 masterwork machetes, a masterwork chainshirt, and a nice buckler that is made of darken wood and has a new strap affixed to it recently, Mary Kay points out that the buckler is detecting as magic. You are able to salvage 40 metal arrowheads from the debris.

Mary Kay takes a collection of gear to near the center of the compound. Laying the gear in a small circle around her, she begins to chant. Staring at each item for a few moments, her hands twitch as she slowly turns.

Mary Kay is unable to figure out what exactly the shirt is. She is able to find out that the 4 vials are Cure Light Wound Potions and the buckler is a +1 Darkwood Buckler.

Maslow will yawn loudly well that was easy! Hard to believe those little things scared off a whole village. Maybe they just got bored and left. I could understand that.

Rhysfar looks around for tracks and you don't see any recent tracks. Besides some from the creatures you just slain, there are no new tracks in the area.

As you guys approach the building.

This large building is durably built in a log cabin–style construction with a thatched pitched roof and three gables. Its several open windows are uncovered, and the sole entrance on the east side of the building is bereft of a door. A small porch covered by a gable shelters this door, though the porch has not been swept and dirt and dust have started to accumulate, while one end of the gable is starting to sag from neglect.


The interior of this building suggests a modest place of worship—not quite a temple but more than a mere shrine. A table near the center of the west wall appears to serve as an altar, draped in a white but dusty cloth. Behind the table, a large wood carving of a humanoid figure with a stag’s head leans against the wall. Two rows of benches face the altar, although some have been knocked over and two piles of ashes are visible in the aisle between them. Scattered throughout the room are assorted objects related to public worship, such as a chalice and a ceremonial rod. An ornately carved longbow hangs on the wall near the altar, as if on display. Against the north wall is a smaller shrine. Nearby is a wooden statue roughly three feet tall that depicts a male half-human and half-avian creature. One carved wing hangs partially broken from the statue.
