As Maslow chuckles and gives him the ole 1-2 punch the creature falls, releasing it's grip.

As you guys gather yourselves, you do not detect any magic in the area but you do know that with some work these overgrown vegetable patches could still be useable like the other ones you found.


You guys head over to a location that you saw previously to the north.

North of the colony, but well within sight, is a small field. Inundating the meadow is a series of large holes dug in at an angle. Piles of dirt surround each hole. A large copse of trees grows due east of this location.

There are two dozen or more holes in this area. When looking over the area you find fragments of leathery eggshells in a few of the holes, sized for a Small creature and one hole that contains a human skeleton bereft of clothing or equipment.

Fang holds out his hand and the typical electric ball appears in it, then he seems to concentrate on it for a moment, and the sparks tighten and form a more cohesive orb than normal. Planting his feet, he pulls his arm back and then thrusts it forward towards the monster, launching the orb over the distance. The effort seems to move Fang forward slightly too.

Mary Kay quickly rushes to Maslow and pulls out her divine symbol. With a quick incantation of "ROI", his wounds slowly start to close.

"That is it for today. We are now at the mercy of time and rest to see to our wounds. There are a few berries left from before."


As Maslow recovers from the fight everyone starts to look around and you detect a ping of magic. Upon further looking into it you end up finding a ring that is undamaged by the acid and it is magical.
