Not-Trixie stows her walking stick and looks at the crater with a worried frown. "You know, the last crater we investigated had some pretty nasty stuff inside," she remarks, her glance unconsciously landing on her archer companion. "I could scout out the topside from the air if we'd like, see if we can find a way in."
Not-Trixie would have cast overland flight at the start of the day, but she'll hold off on her other buffs until she feels like we're closer to danger.

Looking around the ruins from above, Trixie can see there is little to explore. The one notable feature is a set of intact stairs descending into the earth, mostly shielded from the damage by its underground nature. The walls and door that once encloses it are now just rubble.

While walking forward, Selter changes into a roughly humanoid form made up of earth and rocks. Then he sinks down into the soil at his feet.
Medium earth elemental. Will move along beside and underneath the stairs. Trying to find any pressure plates or secret openings. About every 20' or so, will stick my head into the passage from a random point on the wall and look to see what is visible inside the passage.

The steps into this cellar are smeared with the offal of some wild animal and the stench at the bottom is eye-watering. Some kind of beast now lives here and the rancid, half-eaten carcasses of deer, boar, and even some humanoid-looking remains lie scattered about in disarray. Two stout pillars hold up the brick ceiling and the masonry of the walls, though cracked and worn, appears to be stable.

"Smell? Hmm..." Not-Trixie flips through her spellbook for a few seconds before snapping it shut again. "I don't see a way to avoid that unfortunately. I do have some magics that could bypass it, but I'd rather save them in case someone's life is on the line again." Slowly she begins to float down towards the hole. "Selter, did you check the ceiling?" she asks over her shoulder.
Now she'll cast darkvision and see invisibility, extending both with her rod to 180 minute durations, and then mage armor from her wand for an hour.

"Shouldn't be too much on an issue." Harbinger will say regarding the scent. I will have cast Freedom of movement, Heightened Awareness, See Invisibility, and Perceive Clues.

Then he melts back into the earth to look further.
Earthglide over the chamber and stick a head down through the ceiling to look around. Have darkvision as an elemental.

So now it’s regular initiative, correct?
Not-Trixie tries to hide her startled jump as Selter’s head pops out of the ceiling. ”But... what about the thing hiding in the wall?” she whispers back frantically. She grabs her licorice root from her pouch again, breaking off a small piece and using it like a pen to draw arcane sigils in the air.
Casting haste - I’m uncertain if Selter is a valid target currently, but if so she’ll include him. Vendalfek will delay unless otherwise stated.

As Not-Trixie enhances the party's speed, a snarling canine with a goblinoid face crawls down the stairs. Seeing Narayan in front of the door, it pauses, speaking in a gutteral language towards the entrance.
Then it focuses back on the basement as a wave of chilling pressure passes over Narayan, Not-Trixie, and Bo Goh. Will saves please! Spellcraft can identify the effect.
As the first beast finishes its concentration, another crawls over it and down the rest of the stairway, ending up directly in front of Narayan.

As the Harbinger moves in and swings, the creature disappears from sight momentarily, allowing the attack to pass through empty air! All but Vendelfek recognizes greater barghests, fiends from the outer planes rumored to be related to goblins. Their forms resist the damage of non-magical weapons and they enjoy a number of spell-like abilities such as the blink effect that foiled Harbingers attacks. These have clearly fed on numerous victims, allowing them to grow greater in strength and toughness.

Apologies for the delay everyone.
Stepping back quickly, Not-Trixie weighs her options. With two of the barghests next to each other, she decides to save her spells capable of affecting ethereal creatures and instead plunges a hand into her belt pouch. With the pinch of shimmering ground mica, she traces an arcane rune that looks like a rapidly-expanding orb. As she finishes the spell, the sparkles collapse into a single point that rapidly flies through the air towards the large creatures. Then, it explodes in a burst of silver glitter that covers both of them!
5 ft step and cast glitterdust (Will 20 to avoid blindness) on both Blue and Red. Not certain how the spell interacts with blink, but I didn't see anything right away that suggested it wouldn't work.
