Yasmeena begins talking, slowly refining her description of the orb as she goes, coached by some strange bardic magic. "The queen of elemental fire, Ymeri, goddess and elemental lord, she has filled this glass sphere with her breath, and the heat has imbued it with the divine warmth of pure flame. Lo, how Javhul was scorned by his elemental queen, and how he lusted after her. Yet perhaps this artifact has lain here unspoiled since before his desperate quest?"
Love it! Bards nailing a tantalizing story, as they should. :)
As for Jhavhul, though, gosh, what a dork. Aith’s got a sentimental streak miles long and wide, and she’s a crazy wizard, but I think even she would find that a bit much. Keeping an unrequited crush’s breath in a bottle? Just plain weird. Or maybe that’s just me, since I can’t help but think that a lunatic like Aith might imagine something like that one bit in that Dr. Who episode that had the Doctor frantically improvising for a last-minute party gift.

I'm afraid that this week is going to be hellishly busy for me, so I'll probably not be able to post again before Friday. :(

Yasmeena |

Hey Aith, if invisibility sphere and dimension door both cost you a mythic point, might be better to stick with the one we know works? :)

Aithaloessa Cyana |

Oh, dimension door is in the spellbook, and something we like to keep ready. Just trying to conserve our higher-level spell slots in case things get messy. And being tickled by the idea of what it might look like to try to be sneaky while flying. :)
Hopefully I can catch a break for a bit after a brutal week IRL, capped off by getting my seasonal booster shots, which made the last couple of days especially fun. Things are looking up a bit now, at least!

Yasmeena |

Whatever holidays you celebrate, I hope they are happy ones! And especially thanks for running this game, Foxy Quickpaw!

Yasmeena |

Here's what I have on the list, with the sell price noted. I assume we'd try to sell the consumables too? It's not a bad idea if we do, since I doubt we're ever going to use them. Also, we might want to keep a few of these things for us to equip or upgrade.

Then there's a bunch of stuff that we have equipped:
ring of minor fire resistance (Haleen)
cloak of resistance +2 (Yasmeena)
carpet of flying (5x10) (Neelah)
+2 mithral shirt (Haleen)
Zin’Kali, +1 genie-bane rapier (Haleen)
gloves of Dexterity +2 (Yasmeena)
ring of protection +2 (Haleen)
belt of incredible dexterity +2 (Haleen)

Bylo Afir |

Bylo doesn't have a ring of protection. Maybe upgrade Haleen to the +3 and Bylo could have her +2?
No issue with the "equipped" stuff staying with the people that have it.

Yasmeena |

By the way, the grand total for everything is 204,112.7 gp. How should we divide it?
I think it would be smart to make sure everyone has all the standard items of at least +2, maybe with some of them upgraded to +4 for the main characters? Not sure how much that would cost yet.

Bylo Afir |

.... Bylo wasn't here for all of it. But if possible he would like 32K to upgrade his weapon. ??

Hello, everyone. I doubt you’ll see this, since I seem to have been a large part of killing this game dead, but after a skin-crawling, brain-spider-y few months of ruinous mental health issues that took over most everything that wasn’t real-life related, I thought I should at least scrape together some iota of decency and offer my abject apologies for just vanishing off the face of the earth without warning.
I’m so very sorry that I let things get out of hand like this, and I have no good excuse for it. I think you’re probably well rid of me, all things considered, and I regret that I let things drag along like they did before simply disappearing.
While I had the capacity to participate, it was a delight to share a game with you all, but life apparently imitates art all too well, and this crazy character was driven by an unhinged player as well for whom edging into higher-level play was too much, for the foreseeable. Again, I’m so very, very sorry that I treated you so shabbily, and I only wish you joy of wherever your paths take you next, without the burden of someone as fragile and flaky as me.

Foxy Quickpaw |

Hello Aith.
No hard feelings here. Sometimes life is mean and there is no energy left for what was formely fun. People who manage to play constantly for years are scarce and it is normal for players to drop out. And sometimes you don't want to be honest to yourself and think, I'll get back to it until two month passed and it feels awkward to show up again. Been there, done that. So thanks for coming back to tell.
If you get back to a place where playing would be fun again, let me know. I've always have one game or another running that is short on players.

Bylo Afir |

Is this game on pause, or done? I enjoyed it but would understand/accept either answer.

Yasmeena |

Well, I had been waiting for something definite from Aithaloessa and Foxy. I’m still here, but I think it would be difficult to keep going with only two players.

Foxy Quickpaw |

I forgot how few players we actually were. Aithaloessa was carrying most of the game with her colorful posts. With that gone it won't work without a replacement.
But as the game lay dormant for 10 weeks with no one asking about it I guess trying to fill the party for the last book of the AP hasn't the best chances reviving this properly.

Sadly I agree. It would be hard to be a cohesive party with new players....
