I count you as 20' away Marcus, and you used all 30' of your move to get there. Do you have a reach extender I'm unaware of? Feel free to tweak as makes sense, or explain what I missed. The Purrodaemon's alive in any case.

It is a little unclear how big the Purrodaemon is, it seems to be straddling between large and huge. If its huge it looks like it is in whip reach. if its large I dont think it is. Marcus, I dont think you are getting sneak either as Arilia took back the greater invis. I also strongly suspect it can see invisibile things being a high end demon.

![]() |

GM, I may have miscounted. I thought I had him at 15 ft, max whip reach. Zadeh, unless I missed something I don't think he's acted so he should be flat footed from the start of combat. I can adjust things if I'm wrong.

I believe we've all been hasted, so he should have had ample movement to reach it

With no apparent enemies about, Arillia flew into the chamber to engage the remaining demon. I'm in a bad place to move my mini. If someone could adjust her position two squares south of Geatan, that would be great. Three squares if needed to dispense with cover.

I’m going to fly over to the Purrodaemon and try to climb on it, using the weapons that are stuck in its body as easy handholds.
Tally takes flight and weaves through the weapons on the creature’s body as she climbs on it. She begins talking, mainly to herself, to keep her mind off of what she heard.
“Geeze. We got dinosaurs, rock monsters, cats, and who knows what else. On the plus side he’s is the best conjurer I’ve ever seen, but on the other hand his house must be an absolute zoo.”

The Purrodaemon bows under the weight of Arillia and Agata's afflictions, lashing out spitefully as Tally draws near, but the haft of its halberd gets tangled in the armory that it's already impaled by!
Rather than ascribe that misfortune to simple poor luck, the Purrodaemon springs into action, snarling a pulse of fear at its assailants before diving into the chasm of bones with Tally trailing behind it, unable to make that escape as cleanly as it otherwise might due to the dreadful spells plaguing it!
Once safely out of line of sight of the watchful archer, it gathers its power and attempts an escape which will be much more difficult to follow... We'll see how the AoOs go before resolving this effect.
Marcus, Tally, and two of the tigers have to take a will save (emotion, fear, mind-affecting) or be panicked. They will be shaken even on a successful save.

Hm...ran into two problems with the idea. Marcus isn't close enough to Arillia to get him and Geatan. Given that, she'll just take Geatan with her to a nice firing location on another platform.

Weird. I always thought that those were balconies overlooking the area on that map. But they're walls here anyway! So, if that's true then I'm best teleporting both people, which means either he or Geatan won't get a full attack. I think the caster gets to determine where people end up, so I'll be forward and move them, hoping that's alright with everyone.
First one to reply gets to take the full attack or pass it to their buddy.

The same maps can often be used for many purposes. In this particular layout of encounters, having there not be walls would have immediately led to a dogpile of all the encounters at once, so...

I'm a little confused about what I'm seeing on the map. There's a white token to the southeast of Agata's position - is that where the sound has come from? Also, does Agata have any reason to think that her hexes wouldn't work on the golem (since they don't have SR checks)?

Arillia, did you already move us? If so Marcus would still get a full attack. Whips can attack at 15 feet.

Agata will fly forward to just within 30' and then Agata will use the Misfortune hex on the Gold Golem. DC 29 Will negates. 3 rounds duration. Regardless of whether or not it succeeds, she will then cast Quickened Disable Construct and have Sweet Mawd attempt to deliver the (touch) spell, using Acrobatics to attempt to avoid any AoO that may be forthcoming
Sweet Mawd Acrobatics to avoid AoO: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (9) + 25 = 34
Sweet Mawd touch attack to deliver spell: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 18 Bah. Holding the charge.
Disable Construct DC 24 Will negates (and the golem should get a +4 on its save)
She will move forward and use the Fortune hex (with Split Hex) on both Tally and Sweet Mawd. Then she will cast Quickened Disable Construct and have Sweet Mawd attempt to deliver the spell, using Acrobatics to avoid any AoO that may be forthcoming.
Use Fortune to roll twice and take the better result:
Sweet Mawd Acrobatics to avoid AoO: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (12) + 25 = 37
Sweet Mawd Acrobatics to avoid AoO: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (20) + 25 = 45
Sweet Mawd touch attack to deliver spell: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (19) + 17 = 36
Disable Construct DC 24 Will negates (and the golem should get a +4 on its save)

With a spike in his flesh and a crack of his whip Marcus assaults the guardian.

The reason only one of you could get a full attack had to do with conditions before the move. She had to be able to touch both of you bit the two characters were too far away from each other for that. So the assumption is that you moved to Arillia before the teleport.
Under current conditions, it means Marcus used a move action before the teleport.

The Mostly White Token off to the southeast is actually Zadeh the Invisible (though Agata's probably unaware of his location). The token marking where sounds happened is all white with a red border.
Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Will: 1d20 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 7 + 4 = 281d20 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 4 = 19
Marcus's Sneak Attack: 7d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 6, 4, 1, 2, 4) = 19
The pulse of Sweet Mawd's magic stalls the golem in its tracks, Gaetan's adamantine arrows tear gaping wounds along its frame, and Marcus is able to deliver the finishing blow, melting it to worthless slag!
The moment of triumph is somewhat shortlived though as aside from the gases bubbling up around Tally and Sweet Mawd, a quick series of chants sound from inside the laboratory, and a separate cloud of thick soupy vapors springs up around Arillia, Gaétan, and Marcus!
Wall of force, wall of force, cloudkill, blink, Ready

Poison Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (2) + 22 = 24 - at this level, I'm going to assume that's bad...
"If you can help, I won't say no," Arillia a says through the middle of a coughing fit as she is caught up in the miasma.
She hurries along with the others.

Zadeh flies up and around, into the chamber looking for the spellcaster.
Double move. Zadeh has see invisible up, does he spot anything?
