Reach of Corruption Map

"The crater's not hard to find, and there is an easier path down into it on the southwest side. I lost one of my scouts finding that path, but now that you're here, I can hope that his sacrifice will light the way for others. I'm afraid we did got get far into the dungeon's below; we were attacked by shapeless monstrosities and several constructs almost as soon as we got to the bottom.

"We must return to our lands to tell Mahja what we know, but we would be happy to guide you and your Society to the crater. First though, I would ask that you help to clear a path for us to retreat. There are still many horrors that lurk here."

Technically this would take one more success, but if Zadeh's getting aid, you all can't fail this :-)

Rebuff as needed, another three minutes will have passed, sitting at 15 since portal. Next encounter coming up in ~an hour.
Tally, I'm going to roll for the heroic aid tonight, defaulting to your characters providing regular aid if I don't hear otherwise.

"Before you leave, is there anything you can tell us about these creatures? These constructs, what were they made from? How big were they? What color were the shapeless monstrosities? Did they have a particular smell? Did you notice anything when you fought them?"

Without a threat imminent, Arillia allows her Shield spell to lapse. She will plan to renew it before we press forward more. I assume that hour is spent on the clearing the path project?

"We can get you to safety. Where do you want to go?"

Also: Arillia is miserable at killing golems. Hopefully not too many of those.

The map remains the same, but is representative of a larger area.
Sorry Arilla - I meant ~ an hour real time!
I'll assume you re-shielded since you are in fact pressing on, sing out if I got that wrong.

From far off you hear the minute, telltale sounds of lurking danger, your keen eyes spying more creatures of this grim jungle.

Peaking out from the foliage you see a pair of filthy skeletons with ligaments of stringy black fungus connecting their bones, forming thorny growths in numerous places across their frame.

Behind them lurks a lumbering humanoid creature, made up of tumorous, misshapen vines laden with dark red fruit, its face marked only by a pair of glowing, crimson eyes before it disappears behind the charred, mold-infected trunk of a massive, ancient tree.

Fungus Skeletons (Bonethorns):
A bonethorn has a rudimentary intellect, but spends most of its time seeking new hosts. When flesh isn’t available, the fungus goes dormant and can remain so for hundreds of years. While dormant, the bonethorn is inanimate. As soon as the fungus senses life, it reanimates the skeleton—an action easily confused for a corpse rising from the dead. This can fool clerics into trying to turn the creatures, which absorb the positive energy to their benefit. They have normal plant immunites, but also power up from any positive energy. They can be most easily damaged by bludgeoning weapons, and infest those they strike in melee with a fungal disease that carves through their victim's body, possibly creating new bonethorns.

They are not particularly intelligent, and do not have a strong will, but they naturally sense the lifeforce of living beings.

Lumbering Tumor Vines (Kudimmu):
Only Agata has even heard of the Kudimmu, a twisted weed that corrupts the ground of vanquished cities and exacts a terrible price upon invaders. It is bound to an area of natural vegetation, and while within its field, its wounds will heal, it can tunnel through the earth, sense the vibrations of creatures around it, and even teleport to any place within its domain.

It has normal plant immunities, is resistant to spells, and is also immune to death effects, energy drain, and negative energy. Its amorphous body is also resistant to cold, fire, and weapons except for those that are enchanted and slashing.

Getting a moment to post but having trouble sorting out exactly what's going on. Our foes are Yellow and Blue circles (medium) and Red circle (large), with Red presumably the big bad? And the four huge figures are allies, correct?

Agata's fly speed is 40'. If that's sufficient for her to get within 60' of a foe (it doesn't look like it is, but maybe Blue?), she'll fly to that spot and hit the foe with the Retribution hex (DC 29 Will negates). Otherwise, she'll double move to fly over the wall, trying to keep the earth elementals between her and the foes. Sweet Mawd will accompany her.

Will post again when I can but as mentioned before, it's very unpredictable when I'll have opportunities. Please continue to bot me as needed. Thanks.

Fighting on despite the shocking surprise she unleashes a storm of her own, but the bonethorn is easily lost amidst the unnatural vegetation, and it escapes with a mere scalding.

The Kudimmu lashes out at Marcus with one of its tentacles before suddenly reappearing behind him! It rains down blow after blow, but the unbreakable ifrit is able to make the most of his environment and turn aside the monster's crushing strikes. It teleports once more to just outside of his whip's reach, plucking one of the misshapen red fruits from its branches. With a ferocious lob, the bloodfruit smashes into Marcus, showering him and Zadeh with negative energy, and then the Kudimmu disappears once more, only visible to the earthen senses of Zadeh's elementals where it lurks.
