I'm pretty sure a telepath can pick up your thoughts if you are responding to them.

At least as so far as communication is concerned. I think it's like tossing someone a string with 2 cans at the ends of it and shouting into one end of it and then moving the can back to your own ear so you can hear the response before yanking away the string again so you can toss it to the next person. Starting the telepathic communication with a telepath gets a bit iffy, all I could find in the rules is;

Mentally communicate with any creatures within the listed range with which you share a language.
It is possible to address multiple creatures at once telepathically, although maintaining a telepathic conversation with more than one creature at a time is just as difficult as speaking and listening to multiple people simultaneously.

So the rules don't explicitly say you can, but also not that you can't.

And I think that a conversation at the very least implies a back and forth otherwise it be called a monologue in someone elses head or something ;)

I would think that telepathy with an android would probably just result in a fax machine noise anyway, or 1's and 0's. It was a good opportunity to sass the baddie at least. Thanks for the clarification. I played one other scenario with a telepath and basically never responded to that character, which now seems rude in hindsight.

In regards to the scenario not specifically saying anything about infamy, is that left to GM discretion, or is it more rigid with SFS play? I had thought a little about trying to GM a bit and was just curious.

The other group caught this, doubting the light conditions and I missed it.

I missed this part, so it is actually bright light.

The ceiling of this cavern raises up 30 feet, and several glowing crystals nestled along the cavern ceiling provide ample illumination for the entire area. Column-like walls of stone break up the area, as do small pools of water that the quorlus have dug for what little sustenance they require.

Many GMs won't tell you there is no infamy, cause they don't want it to affect your decision. But I know this is a group that would still say no and not yes even with zero consequences, which is the case here.

it matters not to me which ship we take, but Saryn is best as a gunner +6, he can also pilot, but isn't very good +8 and has intimidate +8 if we just need a captain.

So far I've found that the bigger fire power of the Drake is a great help.

Savoy is build for the captains chair but could help out as a science officer (+8), a bad engineer(+5) or a bad secondary gunner (+3) ..or a real bad pilot (1 rank for a +5) if we have a big gap somewhere.

I'm in agreement with Savoy for the Drake.
Varag is best at Science Officer (+11) or Engineer (+10). Bluff and Diplomacy are +9. Mysticism is +6 if I do Magic Officer.

Computers+8, Engineering+7, Gunnery +5, I'd be happy with engineering or gunnery, sounds like Savoy is our best bet at Captain, and Varag is our best bet at Science so far.

We have lots of big guns but we need to fill them. In fact if we somehow end up with someone in our front arc Savoy will most likely leave the captains chair and sit behind one of the left over guns to take a shot as well.

My suggestion

Pilot: Sev
Varag: start as Science officer to scan then if we take (shield) damage switch to engineering
Savoy: Captain - at the start, then hopefully if we line up a shot with all 4 guns back-up gunner
Saryn - Turret gunner big gun
Oda - Chief mate / other turret gun
Kat5e - start as science officer to scan then Engineering - if we line up a shot with another arc - back-up gunner

You can have multiple science officers and engineers as far as i know so hopefully we'll have scanned the enemy in the first round and we'll know if there's anything we need to watch out for or has a weakness to exploit after that we can do the new minor scan action if needed and after that we can hopefully shoot at stuff for 5 rounds with full guns/missiles before we run out of missiles and need to be more conservative

Game reported, just don't die, or I'll have to make a change marking you as dead. Quick question. I gave DMs credit to a low tier character when this is high tier. Do I take the low tier rewards, or do I wait he becomes level 3 and apply the rewards?

You apply the chronicle to the current tier of your character.

So if you apply to a low tier character you get the low tier rewards.
The only time you can wait with applying credit is when you don't have a character in the tier of the scenario and then it kicks in when your character reaches the min. lvl of the scenario.
