FYI, I'm away again this weekend--role-playing a search & rescuer through eight scenarios--but when I return covered in fake blood, I'll be ready to roll some (virtual) dice!

Hello everyone, folks!
It's been a long time, guys, more than two months. I apologize for such a disappearance. I've always said that this can't happen to me. And every time I've said "never" in my life, life itself "taps me on the nose" and shows me that "never say never».
Some optional details for those who are interested:
Roughly speaking, there were two emotionally difficult moments in my life that happened at the same time. One is breaking off the engagement and canceling the wedding (on my initiative). The other is the sale of my parents' house, the place where I grew up. The place where I remember my parents alive and young, and whose walls still bore the marks of my childhood vandalism. The second was a long and difficult process. Take the parent library to the warehouse, sort out the mother's things and give something to charity, then find a buyer and prepare a bunch of all sorts of documents, and so on and so on… Well, the first one added fuel to the fire, and so I emotionally burned out and shut down for a couple of months, and I had to put a lot of important areas in my life on pause. Including the PbP. I just didn't have the strength to do anything else, the internal processes consumed all the energy. However, meditation and psychotherapy work wonders, and now I'm back in the ranks.
So. If my slot is not occupied yet, I would discuss with you the possibility of my return. There is a serious nuance here. I can play with you for two weeks, and then I'm going away for a month on a retreat, yoga and meditation, and I'll be there completely without communication. After that, I would join the game again (I think I've already left like this a couple of times during this campaign, it just used to be for 2 weeks). And here, of course, the question is whether you need a player who first disappeared for 2.5 months, then appeared for two weeks and disappeared again for a month. The answer "no" would be pretty fair. But if the answer is "yes", then I'm ready to come back. I love this story and I would be sorry not to know how it ends (no matter how many years it takes). I plan to stay in just two campaigns for now, including this one, which I've been playing for several years, and finish all the other PbP games until I'm sure that everything in my life has improved enough to withstand the previous PbP load.
@Tulgram: Great to have you back! Yes, you're more than welcome to rejoin. I've put you into Gameplay. Long story short: the group has ascended to the top of the Spire and are battling it out, with the psychic resonator in the center of the room, a salamander and fire giant in the way, and a dragon flying around outside battling anassanois Protector chariots. If you have questions on anything to get caught up, we'll happily help. Sorry the past couple of months have been so hard for you, and I'm glad you made it through. (and no worries about going away on your monthly retreat--we'll just assume that curse Tulgram is suffering from has nasty side-effects)
@Everyone: It was great fun, and the team certainly learned a lot. We didn't win (it was a rescue competition), but on the plus side, we didn't *really* accidentally kill anyone role-playing an accident victim either :)

Act?:1d100 ⇒ 62
No one noticed how Tulgram, who seemed to have gone to guard the escape route, came back. He could talk about a lot that happened from below. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion bright as magnesium... C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate... But now his comrades are very busy, and not only at the molecular level, but also on a more explicit level.
It's not that Tulgram didn't particularly like giants. This is the problem of the light dwarves, damn them, our guys mostly had complaints about drow and troglodytes. But... When you can hurt a big guy, why not?
Capture Pole:1d20 + 16 ⇒ (15) + 16 = 312d8 + 18 ⇒ (2, 8) + 18 = 28(piercing vs KAC) -2 AC obviously for the rest of his life..
It's not pleasant to be cursed, but it's better than dying like that, isn't it, boy? Tulgram thought about this as he delivered a painful blow to the giant's kneecap and sprayed a poisonous chemical there, causing the big man to grimace in pain, receiving more blows from the biohacker's allies.
Once upon a time, a knee injury put an end to Tulgram's wrestling career, and a giant knee injury will lead to truly gigantic consequences in his life.
UPD Wrong thread, but I hope we can use it. I'm sorry, I read 203 posts with a crispy baguette, parmesan cheese and a couple of glasses of surprisingly soft riesling and it dulled my attentiveness.

"There's no such thing as former slavers, only current ones, and dead ones." might be a line she spouts if she gets the chance. The concept is fine to bring up, just I'm playing someone very viscerally opposed to it. Not even on moral grounds even, just because it's pure unfettered law.
Man getting into the weird mindset she must have aside from linguistic obsession has been a blast lmao.

I'm back, I'll read 66 new messages for me within a day, and I'll be ready to return to the game as soon as it's convenient for the GM (no rush with this, we can wait for the logical moment).
I have 12 MK1s, but Tulgram was the only one with anything bigger. Ones we picked up I think. Those giant healing potions cost too much. If you see anything on the loot sheet, it's yours, but I haven't searched it recently.
Xylian's crit (after additions and deductions) ends up inflicting 76 damage on the dragon. The dragon fails the save (nat 1!) and is staggered for 1 round.
Awww yissssssssss! We might make it boys and girls! So the dargon has taken... 112 damage? Has Amhesha used Miracle Worker yet?
Anyways, we need to get our sniper a laser pointer.

Yeah, anything to improve accuracy on the higher KAC targets is going to help. That's a damn 17 she missed on. 1/4th chance of even hitting the bugger every time.
Hey folks, if you haven't seen it, please check out the latest post in the Paizo Blog. In effect, the forums will be unavailable for a few days starting 3 November, and you'll need to "Forgot My Password" to get back in.
@Amhesha & Xylian: I *think* your posts are meant as internal character thoughts, but if you do want to take action, it is your turn and you can attack. I'll wait another 24 hours to clarify (and see if Tulgram and Theodore want to do anything) before continuing us.
Okay, that's a wrap for Chapter Five! You can do any epilogue-style role-playing you want. (Chapter Six starts off with you still on Kahlannal, so don't "go" anywhere :). I'll post XP for those last few fights soon. If you would like a Starfinder Society Chronicle, please let me know here.
The timing works out well, since I'm going to be away for a big chunk of November anyway. For those who want to continue the ride and see this through to the end (I hope it's everyone!), we'll get started with Chapter Six ('Assault on the Crucible') in early December.

I'm in business.
PS Actually, I thought that I participated in the finale of this book as if the Bestow Curse was not casted on Tulgram, but on me personally, hah. I hope that when we remove the curse from him, it will also be removed from me.
* For better or worse, it turns out I won't be away for most of November. Still, we'll wait the usual couple of weeks between chapters, and aim to start Chapter 6 near the end of the month.
*@Xylian & Theodore: Happy to continue into Chapter 6 with the others?
* Folks can sell loot (for the usual 10% return) and make purchases (Kahlannal has a maximum item level of 14).
* @Tulgram & Theodore: I imagine you want to get your curses removed! Starfinder makes this surprisingly hard compared to Pathfinder. Options include break enchantment, wish, miracle, or remove affliction. The cheapest possibility is remove affliction: it costs 1,000 credits and would result in a 1d20+7 roll vs a DC of 25 (so, not very good odds!). A break enchantment is a lot more expensive: 9,000 credits, but the odds are much better: a 1d20+13 roll vs a DC of 21.
* If anyone wants an SFS Chronicle, let me know in the next 24 hours, because I need to do the reporting, etc.
Although this technically happens at the beginning of Chapter Six, it makes sense for us to deal with it now as we're between chapters:
"the anassanois offer the PCs resources and technical assistance to resupply and upgrade their gear to the equivalent of 100,000 credits (with an item level of 13)"
So in addition to upgrading your ship to Tier 11, you can figure out in this thread what you want to jointly spend the credits on, or how to divvy it up for individual purchases, etc.
I'm hard at work prepping Chapter Six and I'm targeting the first week of December as a start time if that works for folks.
