Daphne the Beekeeper |
I'm sorry to say it, but I'm going to have to bow out of this game due to time constraints. I appreciated getting the chance to play, and it's been a pleasure roleplaying with all of you! I'm just a lot busier now, and time constraints don't allow me to keep up with things the way I'd like.
For ways to write Daphne out, retconning so that Daphne stayed at the island with the king might work. So might her going to help negotiate with potential allies/enemies, splitting off from the main group to do so. She could also be killed off, potentially, if it suits the narrative.
I apologize for the suddenness, and I truly hope you'll be able to find a replacement or press on another player short. Best of luck to everyone!
Kyronai |
Yeah, I can tell it's been a struggle lately. Best of luck, Daphne!
For what it's worth, DM, this has been one of the most fun PbPs I've played in. Don't feel bad on my account; this was a great ride.
If for some reason you want to continue the story or start over or anything similar, please keep me in mind!
DM Amazing Red |
I am glad you had fun. I just really wanted to finish this. After how this all turned out I will not try to do this again. I don't think I'm cut out to be a DM, which is fine.
I guess I'll just tell you the endgame for this then. The whole point of the story is that the whole system doesn't work. Over time more gods were gonna die either through the Promeatheans or by the party until almost all of them were gone. The final fight was gonna be against the titans.
The party was going to be the new Pantheon and then you all get to decide how things are run.
Kyronai |
That sounds awesome, but it also sounds ambitious for a PbP. Unless we were nearing that endgame pretty soon, I guess.
For the record, Kyronai was verbally on board with the Olympians, but he also recognized that things were problematic and likely to start shifting over to the point where he didn't get enough out of the association to be worth the cost of various deities and demigods trying to kill him. :) He definitely understood where the Promethians were coming from, but he would never be bloodthirsty enough to join them.
He also harbored a soft spot in his heart for Circes, and would have petitioned for her freedom if the opportunity ever arose.
I have to wonder if Varocles ever could have got to the point that he could feel that he should replace the gods.
Anyway, I want to reiterate that I had fun! I thought you were a great DM, so please don't think that's not an option for you.
Good luck in the future! If you could set this campaign to Inactive, I'd appreciate it.
