So, I was originally flying into FL. Y'know, right into hurricane territory. We thought we'd be fine, and all the reports we had seen said it wasn't gonna affect much until Monday, which is after we were gonna fly back... until we got off the plane Friday afternoon. Flights canceled, airport would be closed from Saturday until who knows when, etc. We scramble to go anywhere-but-here, and end up hauling butt across the airport to make a flight to Indianapolis. We make it, it's all good. Have an ok time Friday night and Saturday morning in Indy.. then my hometown makes international news with the mass shooting. Scramble making phone calls making sure everyone, including my 4 year old is ok. Then Sunday flew 'home' to an airport 6 hours away from home. Didn't get home 'til 4AM Monday. It was hecktic.
On the plus side, wife and I got a ton of walking in, had some fun at a really neat arcade-bar, and got to relax (a little). Also, fortunately, everyone in my circle made it through the weekend unscathed.
Edit: Posted under the wrong alias. .-.

Good morning! The gameplay thread is updated. I went ahead and assumed you'd each help the remaining townsfolk out of the chamber, so you all have two actions remaining - including Joran. Rizz, you have all three, as not all the remaining actions were needed to extract the remaining townsfolk (and you had a crazy weekend).
Let me know if I messed up on the damage or misunderstood anyone's plans!

Hello, everyone! I have a quick PBP question. I treated the post-combat interaction as I would’ve in a real life game. I can presume that you will all agree to be the heroes, and this is a chance to say so in character, but is that annoying? Does it slow things up too much? Or is that ok?
I definitely want to give you guys the chance to RP your characters (which you haven’t had a ton of yet), but I also don’t want to drag things out more than is fun.
Any feedback you guys have (on this or anything else so far) is appreciated!

For me it depends on the group. If it's a pure RP moment and most of my players are more about dice rolls, I gloss over it allowing for retconned conversations. If there's some players that are into the RP moments, Definitely give them time to shine. As has already been said, it's definitely a balance.

I should think we could hustle as long as we can, travel normally, then investigate as we get close to the citadel. That way we could try to catch up as quick as possible, but still slow down and make sure we're not just running into more problems.
I also think it'd be good to bring Warbal along to keep camp ready for us. As for shopping, Rizz is all set for now unless she's just totally daft and missing something.

"I can help you Ranzak!" Rizz smiles and pulls out her healer's tools and begins to use some ointment to treat the goblin's burns, taking about ten minutes of time.
[dice=Treat Wounds (Medicine)]1d20+7
[dice=Potential healing]2d8
[dice=Potential crit healing]2d8
Okay, seriously? Is this for real? "Crit healing"? Because that just blows me away. Can we really do healing like that or is that some type of special ability for your class? Because that's just totally cool.

Rizz Boughcrack |

Medicine check to treat wounds, nat 20 to increase the degree of success one step, and bam. Crit healing over the course of 10 minutes lol. I can cite page numbers in the morning if anyone would like

They've basically made it so that, outside of combat, you can heal up with little effort. Magical healing looks like it will be *much* harder to come by, so save it for combat, where someone is nearly dead.
And yes, almost everything has crit success and crit fail on it now (that medical check could have caused more damage for example....) skill checks included. The PFS module I'm running has some really fun stuff playing with that mechanic.
Just wait until you see a cleric spend three actions for a healing burst though.... now that gets fun.
Yes, I'm enjoying watching knights of Everflame and Lost Omen thank you. ;)

It is indeed a thing. So is taking 1d8 damage on a crit failure. 0_0
Are you serious?! Man that is trippin'. This is way crazier than PF1.
@Ranzak: Do we have a cleric in this group? Because now I wanna see what happens. I(E)nquiring minds want to know. :)

Rizz Boughcrack |

We don't have a cleric, but Rizz will gladly oblige to do a 3 action healing burst when called for. ;) I have heal prepared and everything.

Hey guys! Sorry for the delay. I own my own business, which is awesome for flexibility sometimes, and awful others. I’ll try to do a better job of checking in moving forward - I don’t like going days without a post.
I hope you all have a great weekend!
Not a problem. Anything else we can do to help? I'm a big fan of delegating tracking tasks to players, especially on PbP ;)

ICT GM |

Good morning, all!
@Nevynxxx - I'm not even sure what to ask for! I think someone's already tracking XP, but if someone can also track loot, that will be helpful.
I was going to do a Wiki for the campaign (using Obsidian Portal as we discussed), but I'm not sure I'd have time to do a good job keeping it updated and clean, so if someone wanted to do that, I wouldn't be mad about it. :) But that's definitely a luxury - not a necessity.

I'm going to be out of town this weekend and may not be able to post from my phone. Should be good by Monday. Feel free to bot me if needed

I think I'm the only one who actively doesn't want to investigate the holes then?
So the overall plan is, sneak up and look through the holes, and then through the main gate unless there is some reason to change our minds?

Yep. Still here. I gotta say, though, in my experience on these boards, this doesn't look good.
It appears our DM has possibly jumped ship. I say that due to the simple fact it's been over 2 weeks without a word.
Having said that, 2 weeks isn't really that long of a time so you could run with any type of RL reasoning behind it. So as of now, I'll just chalk it up as RL type stuff and see what happens.
Me personally, I'll typically give it a month and if the DM still hasn't spoke up, then that's when I'm far more confident he/she has pretty much vanished.
I won't back out of this game. I like it. This is a good group. ICT's a good GM. I'll just wait and see what happens. And after 3 months rolls by and the game winds up becoming inactive, then it is what it is. It stinks but what are you gonna do, you know? *Shrugs*
Unfortunately it's not the first time and it surely won't be the last. Nature of the beast and all that rot. :)
