NPC Grey

Grey tumbled in to attack the Minotaur closest to him, evading the AoO, but missing the strike.

BURIAN

Burian makes with his wand and heals the party of the HP damage taken so far.

(npc) MARIUS HAWK

Marius Hawk frowned in thought.
"Wait, I've heard of this. Hang on." He said. Pulling out his work book, he spent several minutes leafing through and reading several chapters. Then he moved out to the edges of the area, waiving a prism about and casting Detect Magic.

Coming back he nodded.
"It is as I thought. We are certainly in a spatial geometry trap. But the demons also need a way to get in and out, so there is a seam that we can exploit to escape. Well, just a handful of us. But we ourselves can go rescue the missing and beat the demons. They will have a lair somewhere close by, outside the trapped area." He said, snapping his notebook closed and stowing it.

He took you to an area between some twisted tropical treetrunks and had you stand in a line and in contact with each other.
"Alright, when I cast this spell, I want you to focus your will and think of going anywhere but THIS direction." He said, motioning dramatically towards a large stump.
"If everyone is ready; focus! Focus hard!" He said and spoke a command word.

Seeing you look at him, Grey looked down at the rope in his hands and threw it down like it was a live snake.
"What? No. No!
"It wasn't like that! Lady Nurah..."
He stuttered as he turned around expecting her to be there.
There was no one there.

"Boxes empty mistress!" Snivelled Snig as Sunny dragged him across the deck to help Shaedeen. "They all went with sailor man!"

"Wha?" Asked the sailor blearily, looking back at Thurden.
"Oh, right. Well, like I said, I were here in the hold; watchin' over these beasties." He said, patting the cage next to him.
"Makin' sure they don't get out an' start eating the nails in the hull strakes again. Bad for all around ye see.
"Anyway, I woke up cause the First Mate, he came out a' the forward cargo with a bunch o' others folk."
He said, gesturing at the forward hatch. "Thought they was a work party I did. But..." He trailed off.
He shook his head.
"Thinkin' back, there was somethin' lubberish about them, if ye knows what I mean."

Sailor

"Oh thank Besmara that's over!" The sailor gasped, leaning back against a stack of cargo.

"And what do you mean,'What am I doing down here?', this is my station! What are YOU doing down here?" He said aggressively.

The sailor yiped as he fell off the cage with surprise, losing the cigarillo in the process.
"Gah! What's the idea, scarin' a body like that!" He said, clutching his chest. "Almost gave me a heart attack ye did!"

"What, that? That was down in the cellar. Supplies, wot?" Ventured Hamster, cringing back with Rock from Jet's fury.

Arthas wrote:
”Sir Arles, I am guessing a greater demon or other being of considerable power is holding those Schir demons back otherwise they would be on us. Have your troops detected any traps or hazards ahead of us? Have you heard word of what lurks behind the gloom over the Cemetary?”

Sir Arles nodded slowly as he drew slowly on a pipe.

"Aye. The defensive works, pointed stakes, cobblestone barricades and trenches make the mounted charges we've been having success with impossible. Haven't seen any obvious magic though, so that's promising.
"As for what's under the gloom, I've no idea. You should ask the scouts or Company C. They're way closer."

"Sir! There's no ship! Nothing!" The Crows Nest called out.

And he was right. Despite the darkness of night, the sky was filled with a brilliant display of stars, nebulae and the bright band of the milky way. There was no sign of any ship anywhere nearer than the horizon.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Tavey Nask, the cabin boy, trails around energetically behind Sunny, helping however he can. He helps discover the weapon potential of giant sea urchin quills in particular.

AVNER MERAVACHI

"Friends and boon companions! With the unfortunate death of our dear Captain and his partners, it is only my duty as a Nobleman that I assume command over this expedition..." You hear, somewhere in the middle distance.

As the flood of water from the disintegrating Sargasso chamber rapidly fills the Maw, Bryson catches sight of Marius flying up just ahead of the water. He automatically screamed with bloodlust and leapt for his new target…

Sailors rushed up to help the big man, who turns out to be the First Mate.

Zakgrob wrote:
"RACIST!! ME PAYING CUSTOMER!!" He growled angrily and held up the two tickets in his hand.

The sailors looked at Zakgrob, then at the First Mate.

"Uh, you sure that's a goblin Mister Mallick? They ain't much fer talkin'." Asked one sailor.

"Yeah! Maybe he's one of them Gnomes what got a skin condition." Argued another sailor.

"But he's got Elf ears..." Argued another.

"Nah, can't be an Elf, way too short." Differed one.

"Short. Could be a Dwarf maybe." Said another doubtfully.

"Yeah, maybe a really scrawny Dwarf. With a condition." Nodded another.

"That's a Gnome you swab! Obviously!" Asserted another, bopping the other one over the head with his cap.

"An' he does got a ticket..." Observed another.
