Burian and Sunny probably had their bird handled between them. With that in mind, Marius directed his thundercloud to go and harry Bryson's bird. With a bit of luck that would free the druid up to cause trouble elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Marius himself was free of hostiles. Perhaps somewhat against his better judgement, he began circling around the front of the big lizard, intent on doing something about the remaining birds.

Sunny tumbles closer,
And under Burian's hair as the large bird tries to peck at her freind.
Q: Grappled means 'Flat footed', right?)
A: Nope, Grappled condition just means -4 to AC and can’t move from hex.
"We is gon'a be havin' chick-ann tonight!" Sunny exclaims as she tries to thump away at the feathered menace. It's feathered bulk resisting her enthusiastic efforts.
Despite her flurry of blows, Sunny missed all her attacks on the Terror Bird.
Blocking all of the terror bird's attacks, Ghirrak continues to hammer away at the vicious bird, seeking to take it down.
Ghirrak’s flurry of blows has better luck this time, landing two hard blows on the Axebeak.

Bryson tries to maintain his composure as he directs both balls of lightning to the dinosaur next to him. He then casts Call Lightning to strike at the dinosaur attacking Ghirrak.
"Get off him!"
Both ball lightning continue to damage the helpless Terror bird next to him, while his Call Lightning flashed and thundered as it landed a direct hit on Ghirrak’s opponent. It’s not looking healthy at all.
Burian and Sunny probably had their bird handled between them. With that in mind, Marius directed his thundercloud to go and harry Bryson's bird.
The Thundercloud lit Terror Bird 4 up with another lightning flash, hurting it even more.
Meanwhile, Marius himself was free of hostiles. Perhaps somewhat against his better judgement, he began circling around the front of the big lizard, intent on doing something about the remaining birds.
Burian squeezes the terror bird in his grasp, releases, then whips again.
Even gripped in theTerror Bird’s jaws, Burian’s creepy hair acted like a living thing; first crushing like a constrictor snake, then whipping out like a whip. The Terror bird shuddered, then let Burian go as it collapsed dead.
Terror bird’s one and two gave a warbling shriek of triumph as the young Diplodocus collapsed with an earthshaking crash, blood fountaining high into the air.

Sunny is confused and troubled. The giant lizard has keeled over. most of the big chickens are rady to be plucked.
But now, with the fates of the battle changing, there are still two chickens threatenin Ghirrak while Mr Bryson has scampered over to the big lizard leaving one big chicken all alone.

The fall of the diplodocus nearly takes Bryson over the edge. Instead of raging, he rushes over to it and casts Cure Light Wounds.
But it is far too late for the young diplodocus, especially with two terror birds still tearing away joyously at its internal organs.
Bryson’s lighting balls further damage terror bird 5.
Burian dashes over to the sickened terror bird, and spears it with a hardened lock of hair.
Terror bird 5 drops dead as the lock of hair shoot straight through it’s chest cavity.
Leaving the thundercloud in place, Marius continued circling around and hurled a blast of telekinetic force at the closer of the two birds.
With maximum effort, Marius’s ram shot completely missed Terror Bird 2; far across the clearing, everyone sees a treetrunk explode into splinters.

Bryson’s cut is too shallow to penetrate its hide; but the terror bird is affected by Bryson’s misasma, and becomes sick and nauseous.

Between Ghirrak and Burian, the fight is brutal but eventually Ghirrak stands triumphant over the corpse of the Terror Bird 1.
With Marius' thundercloud and Bryson's miasma, Terror Bird 2 is unable to withstand Bryson's ferocious attack. It breaks and runs away bleating in terror.
Bryson is allowed an AoO if desired.
To resist pursuing, Bryson must make a Will save.

Now that the area around you all seems to have been pacified, the rest of the castaways emerge from the tree line. They blink at the harsh sunlight, and the presence of the enormous creatures moving about the central lake not that far away.
Professor Forol knelt at the corpse of the diplodocus and wept.

Ghirrak Ironfist |

"It looks like the attack was too much for the dinosaur." Ghirrak says solemnly. "Start harvesting meat from the birds"

'Sunny' |

Sunny does her best to console Professor Forol.

Well... kind of. It can't be too hard ta' pluck tha' darn things, rilly...

DM-Camris |

While the rest of the castaways pluck and dismember the fallen axebeaks for food, Sunny leads the effort to build a fire to cook the meat.
While Professor Forol wept for a while at the missed opportunity, he is soon distracted by the grasses and flowers in the clearing. Accompanied by an energetic Tavey Nask, he began to categorize the plants and large flying insects that attended the flowers there.

DM-Camris |

It hits you that two of them are diving down on Professor Forol and Tavey!
Looks to you like the range is 300ft right now. The pteranodons will make the stoop attack in another round. Bryson and Ghirrak have an extra surprise round to act immediately.

Bryson Deepwinter |

So we've had time for some healing? Bryson has one Cure Moderate Wounds and three Cure Light Wounds spells.
Bryson has a 60' fly speed. Can he fly up and intercept the pteranodons? If he can, Bryson will Charge one and try to Grab them.

Marius Hawk |

Marius had found he wasn't able to contribute terribly well to the day to day business of travel and survival. Fighting off attackers was one thing, but finding a path through the wilderness, helping keep the group fed and dealing with the jungle's plethora of mundane hazards was simply beyond him.
As such, he was keeping watch for any hostile wildlife which might be attracted to the rather large dead animal.

DM-Camris |

The first Pteranodon squawked in terror/rage as Bryson plowed into it from below to place it into a grapple/bite plus Misasma.
It tries to shake free from Bryson as it tries to climb out of the plummeting dive due to the extra weight.
CMB vs Bryson CMD 24: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23

Sorry Mr Bryson. :(

DM-Camris |

After the damage in the fall, The pinned Pteranodon can be killed in one round of damage as you wish.
Taking prime cuts of meat, the party moves around the outside of the great clearing before making a camp to cook their bounty away from the swarm of scavengers inevitably attracted by the large dinosaur.

DM-Camris |

Making camp under the eaves of the jungle, you are unmolested due to a vigorous watch.
The next couple of days are hard work hacking your way through jungle undergrowth, brambles with inch long thorns, quicksand pools, thin streams that drain the daily jungle rainstorms, swarms of regular insects, and giant sized versions of same.

DM-Camris |

Towards the end of the fourth day of travel, the jungle begins to thin. Eventually, it opens up to reveal an area littered with ancient stone ruins.
Up high, you can glimpse mountains directly to the south; not particularly tall, but Urol points out that their best chance to find a pass lies in that direction.

DM-Camris |

These ruins are infested with spiders you see when you poke about in them, although those of the monstrous variety seem to avoid you and skitter off into dark holes when you draw near.
Spider webs caress the ruins, hanging between old walls and carpeting the floor.

Bryson Deepwinter |

At first, Bryson hopes to rest in the ruins for a day or two. He's at home in this jungle, but they had not stopped since the shipwreck and just spent a week blazing a trail. Then he took note of the spiderwebs Perception +21 and realized this was not a place for them to stop.
Bryson points out the throne of bones and web to Ghirrak. "We ought to keep moving."
