"Incoming!" Ghirrak shouts, dashing forward to drive a flying knee into the chest of one of the oncoming undead creatures.
It’s like hitting a block of wood, and it doesn’t even flinch; but you still deal respectable damage to it.

"Godsdamnit," Marius said with feeling, "If we can get the rod, I say we grab it, retreat and seal the door behind us."
Rather than immediately going on the offensive, he took a moment to conjure some mage armour.

Bryson casts the spell Ball Lightning and hurls them at the closest undead.
The sparking balls drift up to the mummy, which makes no attempt to avoid them. With sharp cracks, the balls discharge lighting into it, blowing chunks of it off. It doesn’t even flinch as it just keeps on coming.

Burian casts a protective spell, as he backpedals... his heart thumps hard as the mummies close in around them.
"Marius.. get to the chamber and behind us." casting Mage Armor

(npc) Sunny ran forward and dove into concealment behind a sarcophagus, breaking line of sight and into a position of stealth.

The first mummy swung ponderously at Ghirrak, but with considerable power.
Slam attack vs. Ghirrak: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33 for a possible 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13 damage.

The second mummy simply stumbled forward, brushing aside the balls of Lightning and swung down at Burian.
Slam attack vs. Burian: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20 for a possible 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14 damage.

The third mummy simply double moved up to Marius and loomed over him.

Shaking off the unnatural fear, and seeing Burian and Marius getting almost surrpunded by these new shamblers, Sunny tries to help even the odds. But her trip attack failed.

Forcing himself through the unnatural fear, Bryson moves to a better position and causes the balls of lightning to continue to injure the mummy.
Warier now, the Mummy dodged the first Ball Lightning, but ran into the second, taking more damage.

Pressing through the fear, Ghirrak presses the attack, though his powerful blows barely have any effect on the undead before him. It’s like punching a tree.

Burian whips his silvery locks at the legs of the mummy attacking Marius.. and attempts to upend it.
While the hair did no damage, its surprising move toppled the Mummy to hit the floor prone.

Although not debilitated by fear, Marius was definitely not comfortable having the mummy up in his face and ducked quickly back, punching out with his ring in an effort to knock the mummy back and open up a bit more space between them.
The forcefield ram crashed into the Mummy and slammed it back until it hit the sarcophagus against the wall forty feet behind it. Hard. You can see cracks spalling across the stone wall behind it.

The first mummy swung back ponderously at Ghirrak, but with considerable power.
Slam attack vs. Ghirrak: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26 for a possible 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14 damage.

Marius could definitely see the sense in that. He wasn't likely to come off well going toe to toe with a mummy. On the other hand, would Burian fare better?

"If you can get them to bunch up and create some space, I can fireball them," he suggested as he withdrew back towards the chamber, intent on finding the dratted rod. Having it in hand would at least give them the option of pushing through and retreating. He was also mindful that the three mummies they could see might not be all there were.

The second mummy simply gathered its limbs underneath it and stood up again. Sunny’s AoO just bounced off of it’s rock hard substance.
Sunny does her best to dent the undead. She pretty much just succeeds in bruising her knuckles, however. She managed to dent it with one of her flurry. She frowns at the sturdy undead.
She tries to move, just enough to be able to et something out of her gear without having the critter swing at her in return, but still able to help Burian.

The mummy didn't move away from the balls of electricity, so Bryson leaves them to hurt it.
The first lightning ball hit solidly with a sharp electric flash, leaving some bandages on fire. It looks kinda rough at the moment. It jerked out of the way of the second bolt.
Bryson resists the urge to transform into a bestial shape as he moves over to help Ghirrak. He jumps on top of a sarcophagus to strike at that mummy and focuses his rage into his strike.
His strike leaves a shallow dent in its exterior.

Burian whips his hair about in a panicked flurry...
His AoO missed.
"Marius! Withdraw into the chamber! Get the rod!"
His hair lashed out and left shallow impressions on the undead thing’s bandages. His trip attempt also failed.

Ghirrak's arm comes up to block the powerful blow from the undead with a sound reminiscent of an axe hitting a tree trunk. Silently, he continues to hammer away at the resilient animated corpse.
Only his second strike did any damage, and that was not much.

Marius could definitely see the sense in that. He wasn't likely to come off well going toe to toe with a mummy. On the other hand, would Burian fare better?

Round 6 complete______________________

Burian repositions a couple steps, and gestures with a murmured arcane phrase. In a flash of light, His body becomes pure electricity, and passes through the mummy... returning to his natural form next to Sunny. The mummy staggered for a moment. You can see smoke and hear sizzling as its front and back blacken. It recovered and advanced again.

Bryson cuts at the one he is fighting. He hits again. This mummy is in bad shape as more and more chunks are being taken from it.
His ball lightnings are more successful, as their combined power blow Burians opponent apart.

Once again blocking the incoming blow, Ghirrak continues his unrelenting assault.
And his last blow manages to shatter something important, and his foe collapsed in a dessicated pile of wrappings and dust.

Sunny does her best both to help Burian as well as deal some modicum of damage to their foe.
"Y'know. If'n these buggers would bleed? We could be killin' 'em a whole lot quicker..." Sunny adds to Burian conversationally as they fight.
Yay! I both hit and hurt one of 'em! (^_^)

Marius' response was, perhaps not unreasonably, a terrified yell as he scrabbled to get free.
Marius tried to twist free from the Mummy’s iron grip, but cannot.

The mummy gripping Marius sat up and gripped Marius even tighter.
Maintain Grapple vs Marius’ CMD19: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
It squeezed Marius in its iron grip for : 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17 crush damage.

With his hair raised in tendrils ready to strike, Burian rushes in, and moves for the opposite side of the sarcophagus.

As Burian and Sunny's foe falls/collapses/discombobulates. The tanned Elf sighs and leans against her freind for just a momnet, the events beginning to take their toll on the plucky Elf.

For Burian:
*Whispred* "I rilly dun't like this place."

Perception:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

Though instantly she bounces back and races off to help Marius, picking up anything big, heavy (FOr a STR 10 character) and two handed. The better to beat what ever it is that has her freind in so much distress.

"Drop it! Drop IT! Bad thingy! BAD!"

Note, even a big piece of a fallen foe will do for something to wail on the target with... Jus' sayin'.

Second note: If Sunny uses acrobatics to litterally jump onto the lid of the box... Will that inconvenience the bad guy/thing? Quite happy to use the full force of Sunny on the bady.

You don't see anything large and heavy, other than the very heavy sarcophagus lid.
