I agree on Linzi taking the scrolls. Jacking up UMD will just make her a better support caster, and most of the scrolls are buffs anyway.

Is Linzi really going to start making enemies of NPC's for no reason?

If it provides awesome roleplaying and posts. I think this is a great way to get an NPC some dimension. Pyros already engaged with Valerie and can take things in any direction he wishes because I posted a thought that Linzi was jealous of Valerie's beauty. I encourage the rest of you to do the same. I think there's so much depth that can be explored about our own characters and the NPC's outside of combat. I'd be thrilled with a whole page of posts about the party night at Oleg's.

Linzi needs to learn more about Ekun, yourself, and Pyros. For example, I referenced Pyros's tattoo's in my last post. WHAT a GREAT OPPORTUNITY for him to exposition what they mean and why the player wanted them in his character description.

I also would encourage the PC's to ask Linzi why she's being harsh on Valerie. I may even admit in character that she's just being jealous and petty. Or I may not.I'm certain it will depend on the questions and environment. Linzi's certainly not perfect. No one is. I always try to lean into character faults.

I’m not sure I can use the Magic Missile wand. I’m a fighter, I just have VMC Magus. Does that allow me to use things on wands like I have the Magus Spell List?

I could take a heavy shield; AldorI Defender retains shield proficiency, and the class features I have that don’t allow use of a shield haven’t really come online yet. It just doesn’t feel very Aldori to be running around with a shield, even if it makes mechanical sense. I agree on splitting up the healing potions, we should all take a few. Faerin, you might take the Mage Armor potions; they’re better than your current armor bonus and will still work in wildshape.

Yeah, that would definitely be useful to use them in Wild shape, and until I get to the point where I can cast Ironwood and wood shape a wooden breastplate it'll be an armor improvement.

I'm all for character interaction, as long as it is;t at the expense of the AP objectives/goals. Causing unnecessary drama seems a little much but to each their own. As long as everybody is having fun.

I get it Pyros, I've had characters with less than Optimal AC because they just didn't feel like the heavy armor type. You go where the character takes you as long as it isn't damaging to the group as a whole.

so despite having some healing supplies, having a cleric is a good idea, especially if we're headed for the Stag Lord, we're walking into what I assume will be a hard fight. Do we want to take Harrim or Tristian?

Also on that note (Valerie) Martial prowess, Octavia (Arcane), Regongar (both).

Anyone have any preferences, both based on survivability and who you might want to interact with?

The point is if we're considering long haul the character's personality should remain consistent. So if someone is jumping in the NPC character's personality doesn't suddenly do a 180 because it's what someone feels like playing for a week or two.

I have obviously rubbed someone the wrong way.
I'm just not having fun with this campaign as my role-paying dynamics are just different. This is a good time to drop Linzi (my character) out and allow you to find another 2-4 players that want to PBP.

Good luck to everyone else on this board. I sincerely feel it's best to withdraw for party chemistry.

Sounds like that may be the best course of action, maybe run with a couple NPC's while we recruit.

She only uses the potions before she wild shapes as the chainshirt won't count then.

The Master Armorer Advanced Armor training is high on my list (though lvl 6 at the earliest) which would allow me to make magic armor.

Octavia has Scribe Scroll, and she's also got ranks in Craft (alchemy). She'll also be able to enchant her shortbow, since it's her bonded object.


When it comes to crafting skills Valerie also has Craft(Weapons). She'll also get full Craft(Armor) progression when she grabs Master Armorer.

How are we to do mundane gear? Can I just pick things like masterwork crafting tools or do we have limited funds?
Can I masterwork the spikes I'm placing on my shield? (I can do that while taking 10 if I have masterwork tools)

If nothing else we can probably special order the masterwork tools from Oleg before we head out, and you'll definitely be able to afford them by the time we're done with the Stag Lord.

I may regret it, but I think I may pick up deft Manuevers with Harrim (instead of combat casting or a +1 AC feat) Since I'll be using a flail fairly often, and 1d10+5 w/out buffs isn't the scariest thing at this point. Though if I have time to buff, that goes to 1d10+10, if I drop three spells. so Disarm/trip might prove usefull.

Don't you need Dex 13 for Deft Maneuvers? With 3/4 BAB you might be better off with Weapon Focus...

OK, so I have contacte everyone and gotten a response. Be sure to get your completed character sheets on your profiles. I have class tonight, so I will begin the expedition to the Stag Lord's fort tomorrow, unless there is anything else (exploration-wise) you wish to do first.
