As with the well, you find another loose stone that hides a small cubbyhole. It is apparent that this would have been extremely hard to spot while the shrine was maintained, but the weathering and decay have made the hidden space more obvious. Inside you find more notes in the same handwriting as before.

After you find and read the notes, Another ghostly figure appears. Pyros immediately recognizes her as the nymph that appeared to him in what he thought was a dream his first night at Oleg's, right before the mysterious fog appeared.

"I have been waiting for you. The flowers, the birds, the wind all told me you would come. Oh my poor flowers, they will perish soon in this fog..."

Totally Out off game, but I LOVE the fact that Gygax included a rule where all PC's have a bar of soap on their person. Like soap is a free and unencumbered slot. I don't know the full folklore behind it, but I always smile at the quirkiness of it.
As an homage to Gygax/or original D & D, I try to include one bar of soap reference in any of my games. Just once, and then I put the old joke back in the toolbag.

Encountered him in the wild. Party took down the wolves hunting him, then I rolled nat 20 on handle animal. After a whole level of having him travel with us I took Boon companion when I leveled to get a druid level companion instead of Ranger normal.

GM ruled he was young so slightly downgraded stats. Next level (7) he goes up to full Megaloceros stats. I also trained him so I ride him, and next level I'll take mounted archery.

@Faerin: Are you going for the prestige class? If yes, then I'd go with the second feat. Otherwise, maybe some metamagic feat? Let me know what roles you want to fill and if you want help (my apologies in case you don't).

@GM: Are we using the elephant in the room rules? I was under the impression we were, but I can disable it from my sheet if not. It doesn't make much difference in my particular build to be honest.

@All: I'm building Shayn towards the "Winter Witch" prestige class. There are still some levels to go before she can go in it, but that's kind of the ultimate goal (which is obvious I assume!). Regardless, I'll try to get her to get more evocation on her list, but the first levels are a little strange. At the end of the day I want her to be able to blast, but she will always have crowd control/debuffing in her core (being a witch) and as a switch role when needed. If you guys feel there's another niche I could help with, please let me know and I'll check on how to adapt the build, or maybe rethink her spell list. Cheers!

@Ekun, Power Attack isn't a feat anymore, it is a regular combat ability now.

Reading through the Prestige class, it kind of feels very thematically fitting to taking on the High Priest role making the Kingdom religion the Green Faith.

The lack of any real mechanical effect for the Archdruid and Grand Druid levels bugs me a bit though but at that point it's practically moot since I wouldn't be able to take the Prestige class until level 6, we'll be high enough that it doesn't really matter

Okay, so going with Green Faith Acolyte. Are we likely to have a decent bit of down-time at any point. Still considering retraining Herbalist feature to Plant Domain.

I initially took Herbalist because with this setting I wasn't sure how likely we were to have access to healing, potions, stuff like that at low level. Hasn't been too bad so far, and I think Plant domain might be more useful in the longrun, especially with Green Faith boosts.

You have 3 months to get the Stag Lord. After that, you will begin kingdom management and you will have lots of periods of downtime then.

You're pretty much 100% melee so you needs the AC boost. Besides I already have one, and the other casters in the group have more AC sell options than you do

Yeah, it came in-game as a bonus for pre-orders only.

This belt grants its wearer a +2 enhancement bonus to Constitution and a +2 resistance bonus on saving throws against disease, fatigue and exhaustion. (Melee character can definitely use the extra hp)

Fortunate Charm - Once per day, this good luck charm allows the wearer to reroll a single skill check or concentration check after the success or failure of the original roll is known.

Charm of Fate - The first time each day that the wearer fails a saving throw, the charm of fate causes the wearer to instead successfully save if the roll was missed by 5 or less. If the saving throw was missed by 6 or more, the charm’s daily use is expended to no effect.

I assume we're selling the +1 Estoc? If so once potion distribution is done, we'll split gold and we're good.

Ekun, could you use the Estoc? I think you need the EWP to use it one-handed, but you should be able to two-hand it just fine.

Happy Thanksgiving all!
For this year, I am THANKFUL for a year that brought my characters:
Brother Butterfly is thankful-- for a lot of sex along the Encartan Sea.
Atium is thankful -- for a team of friends. Once a displaced loner, now within a family of five.
Zane is thankful -- for actually becoming as great and famous as he always imagined he was; and then dying in a glorious fireball.
Lord Bronin Dohari is thankful -- for a Feathermage and two other forcefully spirited females that have shown him that women *might* be just as capable as men in this world.
Linzi is thankful -- that she's just about pegged down all her companions with a nickname she likes. She's still desperately searching for a tame name, but that will come in time.

and the player (me)-- is thankful to all these players and the GM's that make these stories and developments in my character(s) possible. It's not lost on me that not one of the things I'm thankful for are written into an adventure, or a magic item, but borne out of skillful PC and GM interactions.
