She’s wearing a duster--with fringe on the sleeves, o’course--and there’s a silver star pinned to her chest—which, upon closer inspection, appears to be a stylized wayfinder. She’s also sporting the biggest belt buckle you ever did see (in fact, it’s big enough it looks like it might even protect her if someone tried pokin’ ‘er in the belly). Wild West version of a haramaki
And last, but certainly not least, she’s sporting a shiny pistol on her hip.
Calamity is a blaster witch
CG Samsaran Spellslinger Wizard 1/Invoker Witch 5.
She does have flight Hex (in case you want to pay attention to ceiling heights, etc, when prepping.)
She also has Slumber hex, but tends to use mostly if nonlethal methods are preferred--or if things are going south and the party needs savin'.
Her current spell specialization is Burning Arc (switching that to Lightning Bolt next level). I'll be working on her profile...

"Edit" your profile, and use the RACE and CLASSES/LEVELS fields near the top. That'll put stuff into header.

By my reckoning, that's level
8+7+8+6+6=35
APL=35/5=7
With season 4, 5 players, that's high tier with 4-player adjustment.
Calamity is fine with playing up, but making certain folks are aware of it (especially our other level 6)

With your permission I will change my character selection, I will use my paladin 8 because a master is asking for a frontliner of lvl 6 in order to continue with his game.
Was that necessary? I will play frontliner.

GM Z..D.. |

Once everyone is settled with your choices, please head over to gameplay and dot in.
Also, as time allows, go through the appropriate link and fill out the information in slide one and place yourself in the marching order.

Hey Malark:
I think you misunderstood garmon. His point was that his level 6 was needed in another game, so he's going with level 8 for this game. Which class wasn't really the issue. Either way he was going with melee type (actually, with paladin, he may not be a frontliner--could be healer focus. But his level 6 was hellknight/samurai, so mosdef dmg dealer.)

Oh, I am sorry garmon!
Thank you Calamity Jayn!

Hey Everyone,I have some unfortunate news. I regret to inform you all that we will have to postpone Gameday VIII by 2 weeks.
This would place our new dates for Gameday at: 09 Sept 2019 - 17 Nov 2019
WHAT IS GOING ON? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?
As most of you are aware, the majority of the GM’s have not received their scenario support for the Convention to include a good portion of the Specials. With Tonya occupied by other duties this weekend, we realized as a team that we are very unlikely to see the remainder of scenario support drop by Monday the 26th. Multiple avenues were discussed and what seems to be the best solution is to push Gameday back by two weeks. This will allow enough time for the GM’s to receive their scenarios and prep them.
BUT WHAT IF WE ALREADY HAVE OUR SCENARIOS, CAN WE START THEM?
Please hold off until the new start date to be able to eligible for your boon rewards. I understand this is a large inconvenience, we are doing everything we can to make this work. Part of that is to have everyone one the same start / end times rather than scattered.
We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause, but we want all our GMs to have a chance to shine.
HOW DO I NOTIFY MY PLAYERS?
Go ahead and post the news to your tables. Feel free to copy this email if you wish. We will be posting notices in all the PBP lodges as well as the Gameday VIII Announcement page.
I know this is not what we hoped to do, and I’m sorry. Thank you for understanding that we’re scrambling to fix this.
If you have any other questions please don’t be afraid to ask.
-Tyranius

Does this work?
Also, I believe by that point I'll have the last xp, and be level 7

GM Z..D.. |

Here is the recommended, not mandatory, way to set up you character profile.

GM Z..D.. |

T-8 Days to start. Please make sure everything is up to date in the presentation. Follow the link in my header to get there.

GM Z..D.. |

Garmon, you palidin is showing as level 5 not 8. Which may change the subtier. Want to make sure this is correct before moving into an encounter.

![]() |

I gained 1 xp to level up to 7 during the 2 week break, so I'm level 7 now

GM Z..D.. |

ok. 7+5+7+6+7+8=40 / 6= 6 2/3. Which goes to 7.
Which makes up play high with four lever adjustment.

My apologies, but I have a family wedding this weekend, and I'll be driving for 12+ hours on Thursday and Sunday. Obviously, it'll be difficult to post every day, so please do bot me as necessary.

I'm not sure how mechanically the carrying someone while flying out of a pit works. I was thinking it would work like a grapple, except the grappled person (me) would accept being grappled no check? So like an action to hang on to them? Do I need to wait another turn to get out of the pit by drinking a Potion this round, then grappling next round?I assume the first is correct

My only reasoning to this is, it states the arrow counts as magic to bypass DR. The arrow it self is not magical. The arrow will do the extra damage though
I understand, GM, and respect your decision. But this got me thinking...other than overcoming DR, what else is a magic weapon good for?

It increases the HP and I believe the hardness of weapons. Which for is helpful when facing a sundering specialist.
I sympathize with you on this one. My arcane archer has faced the same hardships. Which is why I memorized blanches and always have clustered shots on him.
When it was clarified by Tonya or Linda, can not remember which, a while back. A lot of archer builds were heartbroken. Thankfully they allowed a rebuild for us.

![]() |

Yeah, I’ve got ghost salt for one of my other archer types but Daedin was short of cash at the time and the balm was a cheaper alternative, or so I thought...I had forgot I even had it till this encounter...
I also found out with my highest level archer dude several months back that they errata’ed magical bows not transferring cold iron, silver, and adamantine to regular arrows at +3 and +4. It makes no sense to me that magic and alignment are transferred to the arrow for DR purposes but not cold iron/silver/adamantine. While I can see the reasoning for the balm, I still can’t see the reasoning for that errata...

GM Z..D.. |

Will be working on chronicle sheets. I will get them out as soon as I can.

This was a fun one! Not overly complicated, but an interesting story. Zeeva makes for a fun NPC. And the green text was cool.
Thanks, ZD!

Thanks to both the GM and my fellow pathfinders. Had fun.
If it's not too late, re-roll that dayjob with 2 GM stars:
Craft Alchemy: 1d20 + 22 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 22 + 2 = 25
Not that it matters. Same cruddy result.
Thanks again,
Calamity

GM Z..D.. |

Still need Korandil's/garmon's character number to report.

GM Z..D.. |

It appears that I forgot the one of the most important things about conventions/gamedays, boons.
I will need everyone to roll a d20. On a 20, please roll a d3 to see which boon you got.
If you get a boon, also provide me with your email address. You may PM them to me for privacy reasons.
Boon?: 1d20 ⇒ 9

GM Z..D.. |

Giving the others a few more days to roll for boons before I submit the report.
