Then he casts a Read aura and advances with the others.
Luke_Parry |
@Nefreet: Feel free to read the spoilers; you just can't act on the information therein, since you don't understand Iruxi. I just don't want you, the players, to miss out on story (although to be fair, there are literally *pages* covering what happens if you refuse to have Lumki accompany you [almost all of it making the scenario more difficult!], and in that case, you wouldn't get the back story, either...).
Moving into E2:
This room is covered in a thick layer of dust, with the vague outlines of large pillows and other furnishings seemingly the only remains that the years have left to indicate what this room might once have been.
Lumki looks sad, and wistful, as she regards the emptiness of the room.
Nothing else of interest in this room.

E1:
This sprawling, oddly configured collection of rooms has barely visible, dust-filled metal grooves carved into the floor in concentric rings and criss-crossing lines.
Mara and Thorax spot a quartet of four small, winged humanoids, apparently made out of metal, using dirty strips of cloth, liberally oiled-up from flasks that they are carrying, clean the metal grooves.
However, Bair, unfortunately, draws their attention!
Shrieking, they smash their oil flasks upon the ground, covering the floor with a thin layer of oil...
Slick Floors: Each time a PC Strides across the floors in this room, they must succeed at a DC 15 Acrobatics check at the start of the movement or take a –10-foot circumstance penalty to their Speed for the rest of the round.
Also, for reference: The ceiling everywhere in this building is vaulted, and 40' up.

Moving into E3:
This expansive chamber, though ancient and crumbling, was obviously once a beautiful sight. The high stone walls are carved with ornate designs depicting Iruxi gazing up at the night sky, and the decayed ceilings show the remains of what were once detailed depictions of the night sky.
A large platform situated in the north-central area of the hall once held a massive copper telescope aloft on a ridged base that allowed for various adjustments, but now the telescope lies in ruins, much of it apparently scavenged over the years. A platform with a rotating base sits near the opening in the wall that the telescope would have protruded through, it’s mechanisms long fused into a mass of rust. A soaring sheet of green-tinged bronze covers the majestic entryway on the eastern wall.
Each step into the observatory elicits crackling and groaning sounds from the floors and walls. The building seems solid enough, for the moment, but a jarring impact or damage to the ceiling’s supports might be all the impetus required to bring the building crashing down...
Situated atop the the north-central pyramid is a black, humanoid-shaped (and sized!) statue of a winged creature, made from matte-black metal, that almost seems to have been oiled.
As you step into the room, you immediately begin to feel strong waves of magnetism - swords and daggers stick in sheathes or pop out slightly as though an unseen hand was attempting to draw them, and armor with metallic components rattles and jumps, inducing a sense of vertigo and imbalance in the wearer.
No actual penalties, at this stage.
What would you like to do?
Dran'Thor |

Then he strokes his beard wondering if and most of all how he could repair the construction to avoid it to crumble definitely.

"Fighting a battle here seems rather risky, but I also doubt we'd be able to convince Paravaax to leave. I suppose we could also try intentionally collapsing the building on the gargoyle and then fleeing, though destroying a site of of such evident historical significance would certainly be an unfortunate outcome."
Luke_Parry |
Adalan: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27.
Adalan knows that standard Gargoyles are creatures of Elemental Earth.
Consequently, they are highly resistant to non-adamantine physical attacks, and can appear almost indistinguishable from statues if they so choose. Additionally, if they are flying, they can claw at creatures that move *into* their threatened area, as a reaction.
However, whatever this magnetism-producing effect is, is definitely *not* standard for gargoyles...

Your charm allows you to win over those you lie to. When you get a critical success using the Lie action, the target’s attitude toward you improves by one step, as though you’d succeeded at using Diplomacy to Make an Impression. This works only once per conversation, and if you critically succeed against multiple targets using the same result, you choose one creature’s attitude to improve. You must be lying to impart seemingly important information, inflate your status, or ingratiate yourself, which trivial or irrelevant lies can’t achieve.
