Mosaic is the latest player who fell behind and couldn't catch up.
So, I think I'm going to GMPC Mosaic for the (hopefully) quick bank robbery side quest and then I'll have her go back to showbiz, leaving the Defenders on good terms.
Then I'll have to do some soul-searching to decide if I want to extend an invitation to one or two of the applicants for a shot of new blood. There were several that pained me to leave out, so that's a possibility. Remaining players, I welcome your input on that decision. Hit me up on the Roll20 site or pm me.
And another thing...
The other Masks game I'm in just lost its GM. Plus Elsine's character there, and there's a good chance a couple of the other players are drifting away as well. Ultimately, there's three players for sure (myself, Cwethan, and Vrog Skyweaver), and we're all wondering what fate will befall that game.
If someone here wants to check it out with an eye for taking over the GMing job, you'll find an ever-shifting roster of characters and a lot of good teenaged angst and life or death superheroing. It's good stuff and I think we'd be excited if someone wanted to keep it alive. You'll find it here.

Sounds more like Defend to me unless he's swooping in and battling whoever's around her.

Does 'taking one forward' apply to taking blows (and would it be negative then?)? Just want some clarification.
No, taking one forward applies to moves aimed directly at someone. Taking a powerful blow isn't done that way. Just as labels don't affect TPB, neither would this. Conditions are the only modifier for that.
I thought as much, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
I realized something, that I didn't get choose the Labels that Whippoorwill represents and denies as Horizon's Mentor. Which is something I need to know for obtaining his new Protege move advancement.

Quicker than intended post to explain my absence lately:
1. Kid: he’s okay, but been battling a virus for about a week and a half. Finally been symptom free for about two to three days.
2. Work: still working as much OT as I can grab.
3. Wife Aggro: anytime I so much as THINK I have free time to post, she uses her super-wife-mind-reading-powers to come up with something for me to not have free time. As is, I’m hiding in the bathroom to post this to all my games. Example 2, today was secretly planned to be a big day of relaxation and posting. She and the kid were supposed to be at school. Instead, she wanted me to keep the kid. Reason: just because.
4. Interviews: been to multiple interviews lately trying to get into a better job that will require less OT. No such luck so far, with one last major option within my hospital in process. Low odds of getting picked. May have to start looking outside of my facility.
I’m PLANNING on tomorrow being my 1 “me day” in the past few weeks and getting some posts caught up. We will see how that goes.
Shin's plan was apparently, the worst plan he could think of here. This is gonna set him back from being the shining white knight he wants to be with the rest of the group.
And so, it all goes accordingly to Dusk's plans. Mwahahahahaha.

I'd say that punching Shin would count as breaking something. I really should keep track of the stupid stuff done by Shin that would clear conditions for him.
I think that all will happen at the end of the scene anyways. (But seems like there's some pretty strong cases to be made :-p)
Sorry for the absence everyone,... I've been dealing with lizard catching in remote Tasmania which has involved doing my best to avoid being caught up in the fall-out from some massive bushfires close to one of our study-sites. Should be all sorted now (although the fires continue to rage) so I'll try to catch up and make sense of what Mattie's been doing while the PVP action has happened (WTF).

We've decided to keep the other campaign going with what we hope will be a fun experiment. We're going to run it without any single person as the GM. While for any given issue/scene there will be someone in the driver's seat, everyone will be encouraged to suggest curveballs and developments in the scene, or even just the resolution of moves.

What are the living arrangements at the moment?
Folks are I believe welcome to stay at whichever Base they want. Kayla will be at the Tower. Sounds like Isaiah is primarily staying at Blockbuster.
Kylie has spent one sleepless uncomfortable night at the Tower, but frequently suffers from sleepless uncomfortable nights, so she hasn't committed to staying or leaving.
Shin is basically fine with either base, as long as there's at least one other person there, as well as Psyche.
Also, that open campaign looks intriguing. Currently job hunting so I'll see if I have time to devote to another campaign.
I'm somewhat intrigued by the open campaign. I might lurk and watch for a while.
Or, if you need an uninvolved third party to manage an alien invasion/werecreature surge/robot uprising/whatever, I might enjoy handling one of those. I like making strange machines, breeding monsters, and engaging in world-building.
That sounds neat, Isaiah! That could be really fun. Say, an "Invasion" story arc outside the usual storylines.
Well, you can just let me know when you want to give it a try. I've got some nasty infectious were-monstrosities lying around from another campaign (a few of them decided to leap into unlabeled portals rather than face the incoming Doom Griffon), or I could send a suitably aggressive Rouge Shard thataway.

Just letting everyone know that I won't be online today (probably) due to a long road trip. However, I had a couple of questions:
Stalwart: Were you envisioning the trip to Dawkins as something you would introduce/set up (i.e, have an event planned) or is that for me to fill in the details?
Kayla/Psyche: Is it too late after your trip to Blockbuster for the girls' night out, or is are we planning that for later on?
- Just want to get timelines established, as I have some character progression stuff I want to do and how I do it depends on the order of events.

I had plans to do some exploration of your character while at the Dawkins Institute. I think this can help you gain some insights into your powers (as much as you want -- if you'd prefer a slow burn reveal, that's fine with me too). I can give you some guidance and RP some of the NPCs you'll encounter, but leave it to you about what sort of breakthroughs/setbacks they encounter when studying you and your powers.
However, I'm a little stretched for time thanks to buying a new house, moving, and trying to sell the old house. I'll do my best, but that's why I've been a little hands-off lately. It's great that you're all role playing and keeping the game moving. Keep it up!

I’m figuring the girls would be anticipating loud music and an inability to hear or be heard clearly. My personal feeling is we would take them but not have them on unless something obviously went down.
