I think we're still at least a few irl days away from Scorch's return if I've kept track correctly :-)

Psyche, good to know that the change isn't meant to be visible.
I got a different impression from Stalwart (maybe my mistake). At any rate, I'll just play it off as concern about her. Ness is pretty good at reading folks.

Oh it's completely visible!
That's why she has to make a point of hiding it e.g.

Psyche emerged into the entryhall, already shrouded in webs, and subtle suggestions to ignore her newly synthetic appearance.

I read pretty far(?) into it, but honestly I liked it less and less as it kept going :-/
I think I finally dropped out a little after the Russia arc where they met Love Sausage (who I was completely entertained or wearied by seemingly dependent on the individual panel...)
Back from holiday!... I have managed to keep up with reading the posts and will be able to get something up later today / tomorrow. Time to bring Scorch back into the game!

I also might comment that in the future, perhaps Moments of Truth should not be quite so choreographed. Or rather, not the Moment itself (it explicitly allows the character using it to temporarily dominate the plot), but it felt kind of awkward and irritating to know that the entire subplot was structured around setting it up. After all, the Moment of Truth should not interfere with or invalidate the actions of other PC's; making the villain arbitrarily unbeatable and unstoppable in their plans just to set it up seems like going too far. (after all, perhaps even if we'd stopped her, the evidence would still have led us to enter Tartarus and have the MoT showdown anyway. Once we knew Praetoria's parents were there, we'd have a reason, after all.)
Sometimes you gotta set the stage, you know? The Moment of Truth is a big, pivotal moment in your character's growth. It's a Crowning Moment of Awesome. The Big Damn Heroes scene. It's where their story comes to a head and everything changes going forward.
The MoT is where the player/character gets to take center stage and make the story about them. (Temporarily.)
If you want to take that advancement and hang on to it and unveil it as a trump card whenever things get dire, you're free to do so. But if you want to use it for a that pivotal scene in your character's own journey, then pm me or find me on Roll20, and let me know how you want to set it up. I'll probably have a few ideas of my own to link it to other things going on, but I'll do my darnedest to make sure it happens for you. This goes for everyone.
As for Praetoria's...
I know I could have moved faster, and probably made everything smoother. I might have been able to hide the railroad tracks a little better, so it wasn't so ham-fisted to get you all there. (I also had the surprise return of Gallowglass that I wanted to feature.)
Sometimes the Muse strikes me and it all clicks together. Sometimes... it's less successful.
I'm sorry that it felt like I was taking away character agency to get you all there to Praetoria's big MoT. I apologize that I wasn't as successful as I'd hoped. I'll love to hear some constructive criticism about how to do it better next time.
Because there will be a next time.
Everyone has the option to take the MoT advancement, and if they want a big moment, I'm going to make sure they get it.

Hey gang, it was great fun to have a cameo return...so fun that I want to return! I know I'll still fall behind at times, but I think the pace of the game seems to have slowed a bit, and I just had a big game end...so I want to give this amazing game another go!!
Re Moments of Truth...they're so different from any mechanic you'd find in Pathfinder (or most RPGs I've played) that I can see why it would feel weird...but I have to say I love it. Stalwart, thanks for framing how we should expect others' (and our own) MoTs, and I look forward to more characters getting their own.

Great! I was definitely hoping this was a triumphant return!

Oh! Umm.... Huh. Probably not? But then she definitely would? 'Cause she'd project 'Familiar Smell' into his brain.
