Lurking on roll20 a bit!

Praetoria |

Oooooooohhhhhhhh

Praetoria |

Lurking on roll20

Psyche. |

I've got a condition removal to pitch for Guilty.
I don't actually think that Psyche purposefully sacrificed the main things she lost in this scene, but she did turn away from her friends, and forego her vengeance on Apotheosis in an attempt to repower the adult heroes and Praetoria.
Thoughts?

Praetoria |

Rockin Roll20 from work.

Scorch - AKA "Mattie" Noble |

OK,.... so it's looking like the next 'issue' will be a delve into Mattie's unconscious / dream. I have nothing planned for this, so it'll be a bit unorganised, but i'm as interested as anyone to see where it might go. Also, I've never run Masks myself, so might not handle everything as well as i might otherwise, though I'm up for the challenge (unless Stalwart wants to run it?)....
One other thing,... Kayla hasn't been involved in any play for a while - Any thoughts about how we could maybe bring her into it? - Alternatively, she could run it, or something....??

Praetoria |

Oh...don’t mind me...I’m just over here...missing...it’s fine...everything’s fine...
Hehehe
I dunno how big of an ordeal the mindscape encounter is gonna be. I suspect it to be more RP than brain-fights. Could be wrong though.

Praetoria |

Replied. And hopping on roll20.

Praetoria |

Hanging out on roll20 at work. As usual lately. Hahaha

Psyche. |

Hmmmmmm.....
I think I'm going to have to go with Growing away from Shin.

Praetoria |

Aaaaawwwwww
:’(

Psyche. |

Doesn't have to be permanent, but I do think that's the big growth for Kylie out of this issue...

Praetoria |

Chillin on roll20 at work.

Psyche. |

asdsafsdhfajfd I just remembered the Incident! :-p

Psyche. |

Bumming around on Roll20 for a bit :-)

Shin "Horizon" Akebono |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Well, I'm hoping that broken from the link, maybe Shin will wake up and have something to do in the real world. Not entirely necessary, but it's always a bummer to get knocked out and no longer being able to play until you get back up.

Praetoria |

O.o

Psyche. |

....I mean, Shin's almost entirely right about why Kylie hasn't talked to him yet, but he's missing how much I want to write that conversation!
::odds of Psyche pulling him in so that can have a quick heart to heart mind to mind once she's out of Mattie's increase dramatically::

Praetoria |

Chilling on roll20 if anyone wants to chatty chat.

Praetoria |

Lol had to go be DM for a few.

Psyche. |

Hanging around on Roll20 today. As is usual I might be afk, but go ahead and give me a chirp and I'll be there soon enough :-)

Scorch - AKA "Mattie" Noble |

Sorry for the delay - Busy weekend with work and other things that made it difficult to find time to post... Also, didn't realise that Mattie was part of the joined consciousness (and didn't see your PM till just now Stal.)

Scorch - AKA "Mattie" Noble |

Just a heads-up,... I'm off on a four-week trip to the UK with family next Sunday. I'll do my best to post when I can, but don't expect to have a whole lot of opportunities to do so.
With this in mind, I think if we can try to wrap up the delve into Mattie's mind before Sunday, I might have her slip into a temporary coma afterwards and take time away from the game for that time rather than slow everything down for everyone else.
Thoughts?
Looking forward to the trip, though not the 23-hour plane trip from Australia with a 1-year old!

DM Stalwart |

Enjoy your trip!
It may be good after the psychic journey that Mattie takes a short break/vacation. A coma might be a little extreme, since that was what I thought she was in that prompted the whole mind delve in the first place.
Anyway, I leave it up to you, but I have a lot of hope we'll get this resolved by next Sunday!

Psyche. |

Recovery/Return to Dawkins maybe?

DM Stalwart |

Rory, glad to hear from you. Hope the vacation isn't that lethal!
But since we're waiting on you, I think I might move things forward by having you knocked out of Mattie's mind to end the psychic trip. You can at your discretion choose to have lowered your guard voluntarily or that she just hit you that hard. Sound good?

I/O-HL3 "Isaiah" |

Hmm, may have to ask if Isaiah's solo hunt counts as foolhardy enough to clear Insecure. He certainly didn't talk to the team about it, but at the same time is being more cautious than the word 'foolhardy' usually implies.

Psyche. |

So Psyche's next actions definitely depend on how Isaiah's search is going and whether Shin is hard to find. (Also to some extent how zonked Rory is, but I feel like I have a better sense of that).

Psyche. |

Kicking around Roll20 for a bit :-)

Psyche. |

So I'm assuming that the psychic bafflers are back up at Hoshiko's prison. Or is she in a different facility now?
Kylie'll keep trying to reach her teammates the ways I said earlier for a bit, but I'll post her moving forward towards the end of the weekend either way.

DM Stalwart |

Yeah, don't take a condition, Isaiah on that Unleash move. I was doing some thinking on that last night and I've decided something that probably works great at the table but is difficult to implement in PbP. The rules talk about the GM chiming in as the play is happening, and calling for a Move whenever the outcome is in doubt. That's one of the cardinal rules of Masks. But I think the inverse of that is also true -- don't call for a roll when there is no hope for success.
In this case, I'm trying to set up a dramatic showdown for Praetoria and her nemesis and am taking some direction from her player. So there's a plot window in which everything is to happen,
I'm not saying you can't search, but I'm going to have to stretch the time frame from this taking a few minutes of using your powers, to taking several days of sifting through clues and whatnot.
Now, I'm going to go and figure out how to adjudicate your Playbook move.
;-)

I/O-HL3 "Isaiah" |

Alright.
If it helps, I've intentionally left things vague enough that you could introduce some time delays or conditions if it's necessary to drag things out. Perhaps the energy budget dedicated to the project is such that it takes a few days to charge before executing, or relativistic problems impose similar delays. Or maybe Isaiah/Inquiry just needs to run all over town collecting sufficient data to make the predictive model accurate enough to draw a definite conclusion.
Still, I had noted that the phrasing of the move is that Isaiah can ask the GM a question, and expect a response... which is more or less what he's doing in story as well; asking something that he knows can answer the question, and hoping they consider the situation important enough to devote the time and effort to do so.

Psyche. |

Just checking back in; didn't feel I had anything particularly worth a post, but hanging in there for either the results of Isaiah's move or a scene shift :-)
