I guess at this point we're just waiting for Fray to return, as everyone has given their opinion of what we're going to do.

Merek Montague |

Hot damn, you're right. Not sure how I messed that one up. I think I got it all fixed. Reflex, CMD, AC, and skills.

Castell Danza |

I should count myself lucky that my AC ended up exactly where it was when I had armor and a shield. Also, this reminds me of the Slimemould armor I put into a homebrew campaign I ran once for some reason. Not sure how well balanced armor that gives a deflection bonus instead of an armor bonus is in hindsight.

I have the day off so I'll try to rush through this part so we can all get back to playing. I thought about asking someone to come along in case things got hairy(no pun intended Sarrissa and Castell), but I figured a bugbear rushing into town would probably go against our best interests.

I had thought about chasing after him or yelling at people for letting him go off by himself, but as you said, it could have ended up making the situation worse by drawing unwanted attention. Besides, Sarrissa is realizing she doesn't control everyone's actions.

Merek Montague |

It's a good think fray doesn't smell funny. :)

Castell Danza |

See this is how the dice get you. "Sure, most of the time we screw you, but hey, check out that double-digit number! That was convenient for the first time tonight, now you think that will continue, don't you?" And you want to say no, but it's just so nice to think about, and you can't help it, you give them one more chance. And then another. And another.
EDIT: Remember when we were talking about lizardfolk being cold-blooded? I just remembered the oracle curse on this list.

Tanning a hide actually doesn't require particular skills. Or tools or chemicals. You can actually just use the animal's brain you killed to do it.
I saw someone do it on Naked and Afraid.
that's pretty cool. I've never tanned a hide before. My older brother did once as part of a class in high school.. My high school focused on technology rather than tried and true skills like wood shop or automotive classes.

Merek Montague |

Horace! That way, if you forget his name you can call him horse and it sounds close enough that no one will be able to tell the difference!

Yes, the die are a fickle b@%+*

It does require some skill, I mean, I know the process of tanning the hide, but in practice, I have no experience and would likely forget crucial steps lol
But still, it does require a bit of knowledge and skill =p

Ok, it has been over a week since I pointed out the errors on everyone's character sheets. Since this time, only Chris has not taken action. Chris has been told by the GM to fix it and by several others to fix it. He has even promised to do so by last weekend, and it has still not been done.
The only change I see is he reduced his charisma down to 10 to make for a legal point buy, but nothing else in his character sheet has been changed. Including among many other things all his skill modifiers, which all have a +1 modifier for charisma bonus and a +3 modifier for dex - not to mention the nearly twice as many skill points allocated as he should.
Due to Chris' refusing to correct his character sheet, I have taken the liberty of doing it for him. Here's a link where all Chris has to do is copy and paste it directly into his character's profile.
I've been fair in some spots and nice in others. I corrected all the ability bonus mistakes throughout - some in his favor some not.
I fixed all the skills; and used a method I have used with my students when they cannot follow directions. Sometimes on exams I state to answer 3 out of 4 of the following; this is done to give them a greater chance of getting a better grade. Sometimes, some students do not read and they answer all four of them, and sometimes they do this in hopes that I'll grade the three most correct answers. This is a poor assumption on their part - I grade them in order top to bottom, and when I get to three I stop. If this means they lose points because one answer was wrong, then so be it. For Chris, I kept all allocated skill points in order from top to bottom until I ran out of the 15 he should have (including the 3 from FCB to know: arcane that he mentioned up thread). Some of his skills are not in his favor, but he's the one who chose to take more skills points than he could.
I fixed his spells prepared and just deleted the extraneous ones from the end of his lists. i created a Spellbook for him; I included all spells he has and had prepared and I added more according to the top ranked spells from a Magus Guide book I found online. I only added enough spells as determined by a level 1 magus and the appropriate level increases up to three. If he had more from purchasing them, I would not know.
I fixed his archetypes, keeping blade bound and Kensai, removing hexcrafter because it is not comparable with the other two archetypes.
I fixed his saves, making them the correct base, fixing the ability modifier errors, and removing the trait bonus from a non-existent trait.
I fixed the languages known, removing the last one off the list as it was one too many.
I listed his HP.
I listed his Hero Points.
I fixed his AC
I fixed his initiative.
I fix the traits, keeping the legal ones from top to bottom and deleting the rest. This left him with one open trait to fill. I included the first blue ranked trait that referenced a Magus from the Guide to Traits documents.
I added a spell component pouch to his gear so he can cast spells with a spell component.
If Chris does not want to use this corrected character sheet that I made, then I propose the following:
Chris can fix the character himself using Hero Lab or another program which will do all the math for him. All illegal aspects of the build will not be allowed to be used in game, from today until it gets fixed. With his current character, this will make it so he cannot use attacks, spells, skills, saves, AC (enemies will auto hit), hero points, his arcane pool, or any aspect of Kensai, blade bound, or hexcrafter archetypes. Any errors with his new character sheet will also not be allowed in game until corrected.
If he refuses to accept either of these two solutions, then I propose that we vote to kick him out of the game for cheating and lying.

Edgar Storm |

I meant to take a drawback and kept forgetting to take a look at what ones were available, is it okay if I go ahead and take the Meticulous drawback and the Affable trait?

Merek Montague |

Does Fray even expect Castell to be able to lift his things?
Quite probably. Lol

Merek Montague |

Well the alchemists kit only weighs 25 lbs, and that's probably the heaviest thing he needs moved.

Merek Montague |

Hey Ice, I think you might be interested in this.
It's another play by post and they're in the midst of combat. Notice the links at the top of the page? The GM has one set up with a combat map and another for loot tracking.
I think those would be fantastic tools for us here. I've GM'd PBP games before and I have never thought to do that before. It's such a great idea.

Merek Montague |

Yeah, I've considered a comabt map.
No clue how to do a loot tracker.
I think it's just a link to an online excel file.

Edgar Storm |

Roll for Zveris' raccoon having been nibbling on Fray's body XD

Zveris Pilvo |

Also, I hadn't thought of this, but Zveris would heartily object to having a dead body in his house, anywhere at all. Because 1, it would smell after a while and 2, if anyone found, not only would they try to kill us for being monsters, but they would also have a decent reason to if we're carting around a dead human body...

Merek Montague |

With Gentle Repose cast on the body, it won't decay and won't smell up the place.

Merek Montague |

So, umm... What are we waiting on?

Merek Montague |

Not sure. I love too many different types of food. But my favorite to cook is my marinated tritip on the grill. Everyone loves it. :)
I also make a mean grilled artichoke. And a good teriyaki salmon. My wife makes some really good lemon pepper salmon. And everyone raves about her tacos.

Merek Montague |

Just realized I'm only proficient with the short bow, not long bow. Ech, like I don't have enough height issues right now.
Short bow is wonderful; you can use them while mounted. :)
