Male Strix Alchemist 3

Oh I'm planning on whacky hijinks, I assure you. I doubt I'll get to hold onto my body as long as it would require to raise dead, but at the moment, this is all Fray wants.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Sorry, I was busy planting flowers for some silly reason.

I'll write thigns along soon.

Nows your chance, everyone! Whoever doesn't like their race can try to get it changed!

(I feel like I've won a bet or something)

Male (M) Hobgoblin magus 3

There is a decent chance (maybe 30%) that if we ask nicely she'll let us have them, and a small chance she'll just ignore us (maybe 1-5%)

Most likely, however she'll do something either bad* or completely unpredictable (or both)

*ovbious examples include commanding the undead to kill us, animating our bodies in front of us to kill us, killing us herself, or reiencarnating us again

Human

I get the vague feeling, I won't get any luckier. Or that she might just kill us this time.

I ain't gonna say I told ya so.

Because I didn't.

But I should've.

So I could've said I told ya so...

Human

Oh yeah, this is happening. Grab yourselves some popcorn, the bards going to put on a show.

I love that movie.

The Road to El Dorado is by far my favorite animated movie, I even reenacted a scene from it in one of my first games with another PC (the one you quoted even). Fantastic animation, and fantastic characterization.

I'm not sure how well a fire would burn or spread in a swamp. Seems awfully wet...

Human

Also, I guess I can point out here that my plan is not "BURN EVERYTHING" but more, get close to the bodies and burn those, or ask nicely for them back, haven't picked yet. BURN EVERYTHING is for a different character than Castell.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

Though, you do have the item for "burn everything", don't ya?

Wait, BURN EVERYTHING might work?

Inactive

It could, unless the witch simply snaps her fingers and puts out the fire. I mean it is "her" swamp and if she can kill us and reincarnate us so easily, I doubt fire is that big of a threat to her.

Male (M) Hobgoblin magus 3

i guess it's up to the DM

Human

Well, low orbit bombing works too. I was serious about talking to her nicely if the bodies weren't gathered in one place. Here's hoping she doesn't know fireball. Or chain lightning. Or call storm.

Human

I guess we're waiting to see how this turns out now.

Male Strix Alchemist 3

Bombs bombs bombs :D

Not sure how to respond to this.

Just remember, you don't have to outrun the bear. You just have to outrun somebody else.

Human
Merek Montague wrote:

Well now, she hasn't seen all of us yet. I think.

Also, I'm fairly certain Castell can outrun Sarrissa. Why is she carrying him?

Inactive

In case he has any idea that is not fleeing, and because he's her brother. More of an "oh crap" grab everything and run type moment.

Human

True. Fleeing was clearly not on his mind before, and she's probably seen him do plenty of stupid stuff, but since the bodies have been rekt he'll go ahead and leave.

Can I take a one on resisting a combat maneuver since it's a static number?

Ice has let me do that before in another game. Not saying it carries over, but saying he's done it before.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

I allow deliberate falure to resist CMB checks.

If the check in quesiton has "penalties" for failing by extra (like bull rush) treat CMD as ten.

I mean, if you couldn't delebratly fail to resist a grapple, hugs would be quite hard.
(Last bit is partly a joke, but I don't see why you couldn't just let yourself get picked up. I woulnt even call this a grapple, I'd call it carrying an object, unless Castell decides to resist.)

Human

Alrighty then, Castell's going for a ride.

You don't have to not resist. If I beat your flat-footed CMD, then you're grappled and we're outta here. You just don't have to try to escape the grapple on your turn, or you could if you wanted down.

Nah, he's willing. Besides, with the -4 from using one hand, and taking into account flat-footedness (I'll assume we won't roll initiative over this) we both end up with a 13 total, so Sarrissa makes it anyway.

M Extrodinaraly Contrary Meatbag Fourm pyromancer 1

It's planes, yeah.

Human

Eh, not happening anyway. Nor was that perception check.

This seems like the kind of thing wisdom would let me know better than to do...

I don't have knowledge planes, so I'm really hoping it's not a giant inevitable that's going to smite us all.

Human

I feel like the inevitables that are that big have more important things to deal with than the level 3 dudes (and dudette).

Inactive

i'm hoping it's just an illusion.

I figure that if it's an inevitable, then it's here for the witch and we're just going to get caught in the cross fire. Collateral damage and all that.

Guys.

Guys stop.

Castell is not a halfling, he is not meant for tossing and grabbing.

Also, ow, I have 4 hit points now. I guess I'll have to specify that I stay out of a things reach from now on, yikes.

Dear lord, I just realized I was 1 number on the d20 away from taking 34 damage. Luck be a Lady tonight, eh?

Also, apparently Edgar stepped on the RNG's black cat or something.

Stop putting yourself in danger. :)

And be happy you have protective friends and family.

And yeah, that massive damage you just took is the reason I did that.

As you didn't specify that it did that, how would any of us know that's what happened? No battle map and no descriptive text leads to very uncertain and confusing battles.
