He has ripped open the small crack to something approaching fist size and two foot length.
Given another couple of seconds and it will be large enough to allow the beast to squeeze in.
@roll: you can keep it for medic-away later

Leni, of you go for it then i suggest you do it and get out of the way. I think both simms and thud had the same thought except with shotguns.

Hrm, is it better for Simms to use shotgun or unpack the stubber and fire away? I'm asking as usually it'd be stubber no question, buutt.. in a closed space with ricochet potential it may or may not be a good idea.

My current thought, to split the difference is that Cort spends an action setting up the stubber, Simms fires with the shotgun, and then next round, depending on how things go Simms will be able to choose between the two? Is that reasonable?

It's going to be Point Blank Firing at a Huge target in either case...

And the squad as a whole gets one additional FP due to Thud'dr.

Is this one FP that anyone in the squad can use?

That fp is the real deal.
You can assign it to any of the squad and it will be as if he/she regenerated two points rather than one.

It's mostly better already which is why I think it was food poisoning - get rid of the poison and bam better.
Just resting for the cramped muscles to stop hurting today.
So thank you for you wishes, but I'm a tough cookie. Just be ready to get spammed today xP

I love getting spammed by well crafted RP posts!

Male I am a meat Popsicle

I am glad you are feeling better, Keen. Food poisoning is no joke.

Seems like our sunday-facetime-RP was a full success then.
My wife had the very same _unpleasenties_ tonight.
Guess I must have rolled a 20 on my Fortitude save then...

Scarab Sages

Do you want us to roll our "fate" rolls, or you?

Haha, Choon, I think that one was false-channel ;-)
Let's wait for some of the others to post too before proceeding ;-)

Before I forget about it:
That awesome rp introduction to field medicine by Leni, let's Krish learn the Medicare Auxillia (new squad ability) for half the normal cost!

Male Sanctioned Psyker | Wounds: 13/13 | Armor rating: 4 | Fate: 4/4 |

Awesome! :) Thanks to both Leni and GoW!

I think he might even get it for free?
Leni had the original medicae auxilia before the rework. After the rework Monia received the new version of it with... dun remember who paid difference in the now larger ep cost but I'll investigate.
I seem to remember that there was something in the rules about transfering those skills upon character death so the ep doesn't get wasted. So yeah Monia isn't dead but taken out of action on account of player MiA.
(Or if that is not convincing enough: the original 250ep have definitly been paid by Leni so learning it at half the cost would mean 50ep left to learn it at half cost ;) )

Teah,yeah, you convinced me ;-)
All hail the new medic-psyker Krish!

I never saw nothin'. :P

Male Sanctioned Psyker | Wounds: 13/13 | Armor rating: 4 | Fate: 4/4 |

So I have the Medicae Auxilia? Where do I find that?

In the shared notebook (follow the link in the page header) under Rulebook -> Comrade Rework -> Medic ('Auxiliary Medic')

In short:
- You get Leni's Medicae Skill (at her level, which is +10) but you use your own Int when you roll on it
- If you cannot communicate with Leni, you get a -10 on tests (aka you can't ask questions to assure yourself in difficult moments)
- Whenever you assist Leni, you are considered 'medical trained' (which has some boni in long-term care) and she gains a +10 on her tests

How does Simmins go about getting a 'Real good at holding people down' skill that gives Leni and Krish a bonus when he helps 'em out?

Raise Strength :-)
And if you are really into it, take a look at the Stun action and the Takedown talent.
A stunned patient is quite unlikely to struggle against any medical procedures done to them...

Errrr...
Adding head trauma and concussions to the list of injuries to be treated does not sound like the best way to go about that.

Anyone else thinking about the gamers episode 1 right here?
1: I won't go there! Because character reasons!
2: Fine. I'll knock him out!
1: What?
2: hits, but no crit
3: let me - doink
4: let me - BIG EFFING DOINK
DM: 1 is very unconcious.
1: I'm DEAD. You KILLED me.

If you need someone held just say the word. :)

@gsmers. Hahaha

That depends on the situation, really.
If you have a headless-chicken-on-fire, a small concussion is a low price to pay if you can put out the fire and treat the burn wounds instead.
If you have a psyker in the process of going nuts, Takedown is a very useful thing.
If you have a guts-open wounds and a panicking patient that only makes matter worse by trying to fight being held down, a decisive *thunk* can give you the time to stop the bleeding.
If you have a big'ol shrapnel (or knife for that matter) sticking out of your patient and he is determined to pull it out (because that is what one's instincts tell you, despite it being a potentially terminal bad idea), *tonking* is a pretty good approach as well.

And, worst-case rule-wise, you will 'wake up' with a level of fatigue.

It is not for nothing, that medics have that running joke about them asking their patient: 'Hey, do these clothes smell like ether to you...?'
Obviously while putting a ether-filled piece of cloth under their patients nose...
Unconscious patients are so much easier to treat .... :-)

Hrm, can the mortars set up overlooking the platform and hit the platform?

Does the platform lead to a subway tunnel? why don't we just rig explosives to blow the mouth of the tunnel as soon as the train starts entering the station for maximum carnage or before for safety?

Wowowow, wait a sec, I think you are on another line of thought in another train.
YOU are in that train.
Why would you blow it up again?
You are nearing your destination, making ready to disembark as soon as the door opens...

Hi all,
The Ghost of War invited me in as we played in a Deathwatch game together that feels like years ago. Hopefully it won't take too long to adjust to just doing mortal level things.
I figured that i had to go for the nickname 'Lucky' after i got 3 fate points when I rolled, but this is the grimdark future, so we will see how long they last!
See you all soon... maybe...if we don't die first!

Welcome back and welcome to the guard.
Don't worry about your origins in the high and mighty. The guard has plenty of trenches, latrines and orks to go around to knock out your space marine superiourity in a flash xP
Jokes aside this WAS supposed to be a game where we change characters every 2 pages of gameplay so I wouldn't worry too much except about possible strain on character generation creativity. It hasn't manifested as much as expected yet so either GoW is luring us into a false sense of security or he fell in love with our characters too much to straight up murderstomp them.

Got sick after all :-/

I don't think he wants me around right now since we both got it when we met up irl

Besides the only thing you can do is let it out. Just make sure to drink a lot, preferably not just water because the body loses lots of mineral nutrients along with the water.
I suggest camomile tea but I'm pretty sure his loving wife is looking after him well.

@Ghost of War, hope you feel better soon, and when you're back could you contact me about that AMR we discussed in PMs?

Thanks, certainly on the way up xD

And: ooops.
I thought you would be marked active as soon as you started to post again.
Should be fixed now.
