Gonna throw that compliment right back out there: The action so far is fun and keeps us on our toes(even the parts where blanket hiding was the way to go x3) and interacting with you guys makes being the useless foul-mouth way more entertaining than I would've thought after seeing those stats xD

Choon the Expendable |

Well, once in released from the medic I'll work my way toward the other trenches with they company flamers unless ordered to do otherwise. I'm just not sure I'm free from her care yet.

Cmd-Keen Medic |

We kind of fanned out our posts a bit, each doing multiple things in one post ^^"
Timeline according to my understanding:
- Treating Faye
- Treating Choon
- Waiting for, then treating 'Phix
- Treating the Stormtrooper
<- My posts are currently here
- Waiting for, then treating the other group coming in with the commissar
With liberal talk and interaction loosely thrown in between, not necessarily anchored to any one task =3
Also since we apparently left structured time you can just throw in what you do and say 'doing x after y happened and before z start'. At least I've been doing that for a while now and no one told me its annoying yet x3

The Ghost of War |

This seems like a good time to talk about fate points.
In my talk with the GM of the AllGuardsmenParty he told me that he tweaked the fp system a little to allow more 'teamwork'.
One of those tweaks in special caught my eyes and I will give it a shot in this game as well.
He allowed people to spend (not burn!) a fp to help nearby allies from dangers if they can come up with a reasonable explanation. So for example: One of you is shot by a sniper (lethaly) so he would normally burn a fp to survive this. If one of his comrades nearby is willing to spend a fp to save him, and tell the gm that he will tackle his busy out of harms way, because he saw the red dot of the snipers scope on his mate, he can do so.
Or to take the current situation: If one of Thud'dr and Faye is able to spend a fp and give me a reasonable explanation of how he/she is able to kill the flames on Leni I will allow you to do so, saving Lenis permanent fp for those uses you REALLY need to burn one. Say when a Bloodthirster is beheading you, while everyone else is unconscious or something like that.
I like the team play and RP aspect of that tweak, so I will allow you to use fp's in that way as well. This also goes no non lethal situations, where you want to help someone else by spending a fp for a immediate +10 boost or give him/her a reroll.
Example: Celephix is hacking some door for you to enter and you REALLY want her to succeed, so you spend a fp tell me a good reason how you may help in such a situation like 'I ask her what that red blinking light down there means' which shows her just the right spot to anchor her MIU and hack the door.
I think everyone is ok with this? It will make fp's more powerful if you can come up with nice IC explanations I like and that makes sense ... and I totally am ok with this!
P.s. If you guys do this, it will save Leni from the crit damage and maybe Faye from the burn as well depending on the explanation.

Choon the Expendable |

If I had a fate point to burn I would. :(
I am adept at providing staggering amounts of flying snow on command in this environment, so maybe the sarge could use that.

Faye Marbray |

Soooooooo I can't really justify a reason to how I could in an FP-Save manner save leni without it becoming a potentially multi-action deal.
So, for now, I'm good with what I've currently posted....and its totally not because I want to see how Thud reacts when his squad all just goes unconscious because of their own actions :p

The Ghost of War |

Yeah think of it as a adrenaline dose ... or about 150 doses of the blackest coffee right into the blood.
Space Marines have those auto-injectors in their servo armors that injects something to counter stun effects within one round, so there is something like that in wh40k.
It will bring you upright out of stun/unconsciousness/sleep within one round and keep you going for some minutes before you collapse from exhaustion. Multiple uses of stimm within a short time frame will cause quite serious side effects and the effect will degrade earlier.

Cmd-Keen Medic |

I can't seem to find the post right now but I remember putting armor on properly was ruled to take a few minutes, so I'm still back with the flame troopers at this point(no, I'm not going any further without that damn armor =3) still do that willpower roll for warp shenanigans?

I've been watching too much Archer recently that this is immediately what popped into my head :P

..Scatter - Homebrew:
....@Point-Blank: +2 Pen, Proven(5), +2 damage
....@Short Range: Proven(3), +10 BS, +1 hit per 2 DoS, Blast(1)
....@Normal Range: +20 BS, +1 hit per 2 DoS, Blast(1)
....@>Normal Range: +10 BS, -2 damage, +1 hit per 2 DoS, Blast(2)
....@Long Range: Primitive(6) Trait, -2 damage, Blast(2)
....@Extreme Range: -10 BS, Primitive(4) Trait, -4 damage, double enemy armor
That should be what you're looking for =3

The Ghost of War |

@Faye: Figured out where that confusion came from. I messed up the skill description in the campaign tab. Corrected it. (I forgot the Known step, instead added two time experienced ^^)
Fixed it and added the xp cost to increase skills/characteristics/talents by matching aptitudes as well.
Skill progress is:
Untrained -20
KNOWN +-0
Trained +10
Experienced +20
Veteran +30

The Ghost of War |

Hmmm, I have the same problem now. No 'new' notifiers in the campaign tab.
I'll investigate that.
@All:
- Who experience the same problem?
- Do you have the same problems in your other games as well, or is it only this one?
Don't know whats happening here. It's reproducible. Maybe paizo has some problems?
For now I can recommend you to use a live bookmark / rss feed addon for your browser. I use LiveClick for firefox and it works like a charm. Just set a Subscription to the live bookmarks of the gameplay/discussion post and let the addon notify you upon changes.

The Ghost of War |

It's not just us: something broke.
They seem to have a fix but need some time to install it.
*wheeeh*
Thought I had broke something ;-)
