Attack away. Crazy pirate stle boarding attacks are what this is designed for. That's what the bridges are there to encourage. Only the drivers are chained down. (and there's ways out of that too.)
Word to the wise though, those monkey sheep look dangerous...

I think he was wondering if we could literally get off our sled and just attack them on foot. I know I was.
Ending up on the ground would put your sled at a big disadvantage in terms of winning, but if you don't care about that, go right ahead and jump off.

And I have to ask, with the initiative order, you said that we can not do something that effects someone that goes before us. Is this merely for attacks or would picking up an item fall into that as well?
For example...
If there was a weapon on the ground and someone went to pick it up, would someone that has an initiative higher then their own capable of just running over and grabbing it instead? Or is it then in the slower initiative character's hands?
Also, what type of action is it to make the ride check to keep the chariot going?

Varniel, The cannons are basically water-balloon launchers, so they're basically perfect for what you want but you'll need to convince it to behave. Give me a DC 15 Disable Device check to make the bombs and the cannon play nice together.
Zar'zan, unattended objects are a little sticky with this posting system. I'm allowing things to go out of order in order to move things along faster, but it means that there are opportunities (like that one) for things to get tangled. I'm going to rule that the first poster to act on the object gains control of it, but when contested by someone with a higher initiative, they will get bonuses to Disarm, or whatever, in regards to the object.
The Ride check is a Move action.
Mel, Yes it does, you lucky girl you.

Hmm...I think I'm just about to make my post then now that I have some specifics down. Its a rather interesting circumstance.
Edit: One more question. Would the snow storm give him enough cover to not be considered in bright light? Basically make it so his Light Sensitivity is not currently giving him a penalty.

Actually, with the arena lighting and the snow, it's pretty bright. One of the reasons for the vision limits is do to snow-blindness. Your light sensitivity is in full effect.

this is an awesome match. im sad i had to miss out on it.
is it ok if i have loric moving around the crowd and mingling with the spectators?
How about we put you in the Commentator's Booth talking with Love and Mercy? Like an "expert correspondent".
Also, if we get any dropouts we can replace them with you with some clever teleportation.

Does this me that Chess is effectively blinded for the first round of combat? *winces at the thought*

It's ok, Mel will tell you which way to go. :-)
DM DH, how high are the sides of the sled? Like, can I crouch or drop prone and gain cover?
| Melashara the Crone |
If it's in your character's nature, you might want to urge Chess to actually drive, seeing as he may or may not have any clue that's what he is supposed to be doing!
Sorry, took me a bit to post in the correct format, but that's exactly what I did. Great minds think alike. :-)

Chess, Unfortunately yes. You wanted to play a Drow, it's part of the tradeoff. :)

They're low, on purpose. They'er not designed to provide cover at all. They're basically just platforms with handles on the front, a cannon on the back and a pair of rails on the bottom.

Time for some glorious roleplaying and prayers to the dice gods I don't go down in flames right off the bat!
That's why I found Invisibility to be a solid move...

I did. He's on my team. Or was, any way. This is great by the way! Will post in the morning!
Well, he's in the negatives but he's not dead yet (nor even unconscious, due to the house rules).
Also, not that it matters, but Gwwwrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr's (hehe) attack should have been -1 due to light sensitivity. So if Severus uses Combat Expertise he might be able to last for a little while.

Severus is on my sled... he appears to be driver.
I am gunner?BTW, where is Initiative listed on map?
On the far right side. And yep, you're the gunner. And Severus is the driver, but he is currently getting murdered by the Orc (he's in negatives, but conscious).

Yeah, I might have to stand on him and drive if he is that bad. Which can be done (you can stand on prone allies positions as long as they stay prone) :P.
I still no see it (Initiative).
I see Abv, Name and team, status effects, Numbing box, Current box, round 1 round 2 and round 3.
It seems missing from my eyes.
Yep, he is trained some.

Actually the light sensitivity could matter a lot. With it, and if Serverus is fully equipped and ready for the attack, GWRRR'RRR would miss. Which would help a lot considering that hit would actually knock Severus out. You only stay conscious up to your Con modifier +1 by house rules.
Edit: Initiative is the order of the list. Numbers were not put down, but DM Doomed said he rolled for us to speed up the process and will do so at the beginning of each match.

Yeah you're right, Con Mod my bad.
Severus had a +9 initiative but DM DH must have rolled poorly for him. If Sev is considered flat footed, he's knocked out (and it is the first round of combat, so I'm guessing he is). If we count as being "ready" or whatever, then yeah, I think the attack would miss due to light sensitivity.

Yeah, I understand now thanks.
I'm totally attacking the Orc and maybe ordering the camel (as an animal companion I get a +4 bonus and can do it as a a free action)
Can I order him with the Work trick (if I make my check) or do I need the reins to tell him what to do?

As long as it's nothing super complex, like using a ramp, you can do it verbally at a -2 penalty to the Ride check. (that's the edge you Cavaliers have in this fight. Everyone else has to use the reigns)
