You don't know, you haven't seen one used yet. They don't really look like regular cannons at all. Much too light weight. If you'd like you can investigate.
Give me a Knowledge: Engineering, Disable Device or straight Perception check. What you roll will determine the difficulty and type of knowledge you gain.
Whoever marked my x on the map and moved me, thanks, I had to leave the house when I wasn't quite done with my post earlier and posted it unfinished since I wasn't sure I'd be back in time. Also posted my proper stats to the game thread since it sounds like I've now made myself a target :)
Edit: Looks like I'm dazzled this game since us light sensitive folks never bought our riddick glasses (that I know of). Can't edit my original post but it's -1 on my attack and perception. Should still hit on a flat footed opponent I believe. I'll use the penalty from here on.

Even if I find out nothing, I think I'll use the age old adage of pressing the button and seeing what happens ;)

Only if he counted as flat foot is he out. Does he have uncanny dodge is big question.

edit: Initiative order is quite important with this amount of characters. Stating your actions early could lead to some nasty surprises but I hope no one is delaying because keeping the pace will be hard enough with 16 PC's.
Looking at the initiative list shows the GWRRR'RRR did have the higher initiative. He be a ragin cajun orc.

Speaking of being a pest about someone else's stats, Samson still has a 23-pt build. In PF, 1/2 orcs just get +2 to any one score. Just like a human. That means he's paying 5 for one of his 16s and 10 for the other. Paying another 5 for the 14 should use up all his points, but he has a 10/11/12 in the remaining ones.
I noticed his was off because I did a similar build, but my lower 3 scores were 8/10/12 instead of 10/11/12. ;)

Severus, the Map will always be linked in the Campaign Info tab, along with all of the current round special rules. I know how annoying it can be to hunt through previous posts to find links, so I put it there for convenience.

Obviously there was no surprise round. Everyone was going in expecting a fight, and no one was trying to be particularly stealthy about anything so far. As such, no one is flat footed. You were all on-edge and ready for people to swing at you even if you were confused by the change of surroundings.
In the case of Gwrrr vs. Severus, even though Severus was not Flat Footed at the time, he had not yet been able to go into a defensive stance (Fighting Defensively/Combat Expertise) by the time Gwrrr swung at him.
Severus had a 23 AC. With his Light Sensitivity, Gwrrr hit a 22. A near miss.

Yeah, but I doubt we were expecting to suddenly have ourselves teleported into a blizzard. And game mechanics are game mechanics. Its your right to change them, not ours.

I don't know how much it matters, but he has an agile breastplate.

Gunning, yes (it's a ranged weapon and follows all the normal rules)

You know the bard or rogue archetype (can't remember what it's called) that lets you start a rumor and everyone takes it as true? I wanted to make a charismatic guy that is a terrible fighter but has good Cha and bluff and starts rumors that he's this great warrior a la Gilderoy Lockheart. Just scare everyone into not wanting to fight him. :-)

Sorry about the delay folks. I was supposed to have work tonight and my schedule got changed at the last minute. Having an unexpectedly free evening resulted in being pulled away by friends. I'll get the round 1 wrap-up done within the next couple hours.
